Also, if he cannot do something, he will not pretend he can. He contacted a place for me and gave me an estimate from them. So he goes above and beyond the call of duty in terms of repairs and customer service. The next piece of furniture that my dog decides to chew on will go to Ed. Back in 2023, I paid her over $25,000 to design and furnish my home. I wasn't going to write a…read morereview initially--silence felt like the kindest feedback I could give. But over time, as more issues came to light, I felt compelled to speak up. First, nearly every piece of furniture she brought in was used. While I don't mind refurbished items, I do expect functionality. The desk in my office, for example, was painted flat white and positioned against the wall to hide the fact it had a broken/missing drawer. My son received a queen-size bed frame, though he had a full-size mattress. Her solution? "Use the gap as a cup holder." I had to buy a new mattress to fix that myself. The "treatments" she installed in his room fell off the wall before she even finished the project. The living room fireplace I approved in white arrived gray--despite me explicitly saying I didn't want gray. She then "flipped" parts of the fireplace to create a makeshift cubby, which made it look completely different from the design I approved. She added gray barstools to "tie in" the fireplace, but they only highlighted how out of place everything was. In the kitchen, the hutch she "redesigned" was broken, so she nailed the broken piece above it as decor. She offered to make a custom cat door so my cat could eat away from the dogs. I thought it was a cute idea--until I realized she simply used doors with missing glass panels. I later found out the wallpaper she used on the hutch and in multiple rooms was just tack paper. It started peeling within months. When I began removing it, I discovered the walls underneath were never prepped or sanded. The wallpaper in my bedroom is now curling at the top and coming off entirely. She also painted my bedroom furniture with flat white paint, which now attracts dirt and needs repainting. My bed frame was never secured--it rocks back and forth--and the L brackets she promised were never installed. To top it off, she left outlet covers off, used a vanity to hide a large crack in the wainscoting, and the final product looks unfinished. It took her nearly a year to complete the project. I asked to be released from the contract more than once due to the delays, but she always blamed "staffing issues." Looking back, it feels like she sourced nearly everything for free or from discount sites like Temu to increase her profit. The invoices don't even reflect what was actually done, which feels incredibly shady. Most of what she brought in was broken and left that way. I do not recommend her to anyone for anything. Say no to the dresser.

I used Joe for a somewhat large project, refinishing the cabinets in 2 bathrooms, a hallway built-in linen closet and a guest house bathroom and kitchenette. The quality of the actual paint job was good. Scheduling and coordinating were rough, a 2 day job turned into a 5 day job when some crew didnt show up and left 1 guy alone for a day, and another day was lost because they didnt have the cabinet hardware available and needed to order from Amazon, despite knowing weeks ahead of time we wanted soft close door hinges added. But could have lived with that. The really unfortunate thing, was cleanliness. The mess was absolutely horrible. I stressed beforehand how sensitive my wife is to dust, and Joe assured me dust wouldn't be an issue but that the paint smell could be strong. We could deal with paint smell, dust was our concern. One of the bathrooms was a Jack and Jill bathroom, with a door from the bathroom leading into my daughter's room and another into a toy room. No drop clothes were used, no plastic, they left the door into my daughter's room wide open while they sprayed the cabinets. There was literally overspray dust 2mm thick throughout my daughter's entire room. Her bedding, the carpet, the wall art, her stuffed animal collection, her lego collection. She was devastated. How do you clean lego sets with that much dust? Similar throughout the other areas... they left doors open while they sprayed, and there was so much dust accumulation that it took 3 days and over a thousand dollars to clean up between cleaners and carpet cleaners. We had to purchase some specialty filters for areas in the home to get the dust out of the air, and my wife's lungs were wrecked. They were also paid to drill new holes in the cabinet doors for new knobs. They left a pile of wood dust in every single drawer they drilled a hole for. I called Joe and he was adamant that this was not how they do things, he wants to make it right, etc. I sent him pictures, he said he would get back to me. He didn't. I had to follow up again nearly 3 weeks later asking what the deal was. He did respond, and offered me a very small refund "for the additional time spent cleaning". It wouldn't have covered even 25% of what I spent to clean up after them.

He was also very communicative and helped think of a solution so that I wouldn't need to be without hot water for a day which I greatly appreciated.
