I travelled fairly often in 2014. I had this one credit card that gave me a one-year complimentary…read moremembership to Regus, which allows you to comfortably work at any of its business locations. I gave it a try. I did a search using this company's app that I had installed on my phone and found the nearest location. I drove over there. Trillium is essentially a business tower close to the Markham-Richmond Hill border. I took the elevator up to the third floor and was greeted by two cheerful folks at the desk. I proceeded to show my free membership. One of them gave me a tour and assigned me a small, but comfortable, business office for the day. Nice! You can help yourself to complimentary drinks, which included a fancy machine to make coffee and tea. Naturally, I was also told how to get in and out of the floor, and where the washrooms were. I had a ton of work to do. It was a nice change from working from home, as I did a fair amount back then. My office was quiet to begin with. Closing the door made it practically soundproof. You have plenty of room to spread your laptop and such around. There are hooks for your coat, too. The Regus office closes at 5 pm during weekdays. You can ask for after-hours access, which costs more. Luckily, I didn't need it. I recommend this place if you'd like a change of venue and can afford to pay for a Regus membership. I'm glad that I took advantage for my free yearly membership. (27)
