Shopping for a moving company can be a challenge. From first contact til we completed the move, Seamens was super helpful and professional every step of the way, and, by the way, came highly recommended by my new building as a suggested moving company. Many moving companies quote prices by the items you have, and provide a flat rate based on those items, which could increase or decrease on the day of the move. Seamens prices based on the hour, with a 4 hour labor minimum (and 1 hour min drive time). For certain types of moves, such as a large 1 bedroom like mine, this worked out perfectly for me. Once we got the ball rolling with their Sales team (Mike is awesome and patient), they provided the COI to the new building, and everything was super smooth. They showed up slightly early on move day, and was ready to go at the agreed time. The foreman (Oscar) was very knowledgable, professional, and communicated well throughout the move to his team, and to us as the customer. The team was careful with my belongings, and respectful to the property of both the pickup building and delivery building. I would definitely recommend Seamens for any NYC move.

Serge worked with me to find the best counter for my kitchen, and then stained it to match the existing butcher block. He was incredibly fast and efficient when measuring, fabricating and staining, and then installing the new counter. All of this took less than a week! When our contractors thought our undermount sink, with a 1/8 negative reveal, was a drop in, they tried to force it through the hole and scratched our brand new counter. We mentioned this to Serge, and he offered to touch it up for us, even though it wasn't his responsibility. . Phenomenal customer service, great prices for quality work. Definitely recommended.
