They have a full coffee bar with all your favorites and serve fresh, made-to-order food. I stopped in during the morning and grabbed breakfast, and the sandwiches were made fresh and hit the spot. They also serve lunch (didn't get a chance to try it this time), plus they sell local produce, snacks, and even beer and wine. While you're waiting for your food, you can browse around, which honestly makes the wait fly by. There's seating if you want to eat there, or you can easily take it to go. It's a great spot for a small group, I'd say perfect for about 4-5 people. Bonus points for their own parking, which is always appreciated. Service was friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they take pride in what they're doing. If you're looking for a low-key spot with great coffee, fresh food, and local charm, this place is definitely worth checking out.

I had a delicious steak sandwich with crispy potatoes as my savory side. And nothing beats a cane sugar Coke. Like ever. The staff was fantastic, making the food quickly and with care. And we love a reataurant in a grocery--Acadia has a fine selection of other artisinal foods and products to make your next meal a success as well. The vibe was chill, and the food blew me away. An absolute new favorite, and I can't wait to return!

Things in Troutman can go one of two ways, banjo playin' redneck or surprisingly nice. Thankfully,…read moreat the Farmer's Market we didn't feel the need to paddle faster. ;) The Depot is small, home to various events throughout the year (including the Iredell County Memory Walk for Alzheimer's) and, luckily for us, this cute little Farmer's Market. Today the market had seven or eight vendors w/a nice variety represented. Farm 430 specializes in all organic, homemade jellies, salsas, honey, and fruit/veggie delivery service. Today I tried her peach jelly and I swear, I was gonna pull a 'Joey' and eat the entire jar w/a spoon. Cloves, all spice, cinnamon, peaches, 'GOOOOD'. Pumpkin butter is coming soon!!! God bless fall. There is a vendor w/all natural, family farm raised beef and bison. They also bring in some really nice seafood. Another vendor has great produce at ridiculously low prices. Fresh breads and artisan cheeses rounded out the bunch. Certainly not a big Farmer's Market, but it feels welcoming & quaint and the quality stands out. Unlike the local flea market (I hear the banjoes), this little roadside attraction is a gem. Be sure to check the Town of Troutman FB page for special events at the Farmer's Market (ie: kids can meet the police & explore the police car, live music, etc.)

If you've never been or heard about their subs, they're definitely worth checking out. Made fresh, in front of you using premium ingredients, and made just how you want it, they give sub shops a lot to stand up to. After a quick review of the menu we ordered the Sweet Bo's Chicken Philly. The guy helping us in the deli didn't hold back, didn't skimp on the ingredients and made it perfectly cheesy even toasting it twice until it was exactly as we wanted. After checking out we decided to stop in to their small cafe area to eat quickly as we could see it was juicy and didn't want to make a mess eating it in the car. The sandwich was absolutely delicious with lots of chopped chicken, bell peppers, mushrooms and we switched from American cheese to provolone...it absolutely hit the spot and curbed our hanger. I'd never stoped at this public before, but would again, it was very well kept and clean, and I'd definitely get this sandwich again given the opportunity!

Their other olive selections - greek style, mixed with feta, and lemon based, plus their seasoned mushrooms are also delicious. On weekends, they usually have tastings which makes shopping much more fun. And as a perks member, I do get treats for my birthday, half birthday, and anniversary, as well as decent $2 ff $10 coupons occasionally. Service is always polite and speedy, which I appreciate. Bonus points to this location for having EV charging available. Can be nice to juice up while shopping.

They also have a little kitchen in the back where they offer sandwiches and scratch made biscuits and homemade breads, fried pies and a bunch of other stuff. There's no seating inside, there are some tables, rockin' chairs and benches outside if you want to sit and eat. From the kitchen I ordered a ham, egg & cheese biscuit and got a little container of their banana puddin'. The biscuit was great, the nanner puddin' was ok, I also got a couple of their no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies for the road which were awesome, they call them "Preachers Cookies" here, I always knew them as "Cow Patties"... really neat place.

It was barely controlled chaos in the store to say the least. It was a Saturday when I swung through, so all of the tourists from the Blue Ridge Parkway were stopping by for their tourist shopping fix. So I don't blame the chaos on the store so much as the tourists acting all rude and entitled, shoving their way around the store. I digress. The deli sandwich I had was very good, and made promptly. I also had a homemade brownie which had the perfect amount of sweetness and walnut ratio to it. I wanted to try the Possum Pie but just get the nerve up to ask what was in it. I mean it couldn't have been real possum could it? They do have limited outside tables. I was lucky enough to snag one but you may want to pick your food up here and then plan for a nice picnic on one of the parkways scenic pullouts.
