I do not love going to the doctor, but I definitely wasn't getting into my general physician in the next 6 months. I LOVE that you can make an appointment. It made things so much easier and gave me less dread on wait time. The website does tell you current wait time if you are headed in last minute. When I arrived I was shocked to see how tiny the waiting area was, but no one was there so it was just fine. I checked in so easy with the code that was emailed to me. The front desk nurse got my license and my insurance card. She is unfortunately what kept this from a 5 star visit. She could have been much friendlier. I, along with others, are hesitant or unsure what exactly to do when coming there. She was not very friendly... until I got back in the room. Once we got to talking in the room she opened up and was much more friendly. The nurse practitioner was so friendly! She was quick, to-the-point and easy to talk to. She told me to not hesitate to call her if my prescription didn't work (news flash: it did). I would totally go back here in a heartbeat!

However in this case it is different. I have been trying to get in contact with a manager since September 7th of 2023. When you visit in person they say they can give no contact and refer to the 1800 number. I have now been in contact with the 1800 number 4 times and been told 3x a manager would call back about this experience. The provider if I'm not mistaken whose name was Tammy it is the only provider who has noted on this bill was extremly unprofessional and carefree. I had a lab for a UTI that was lost/never delivered. I know this because they sent me a notification. No provider called me like normal with an update I then went in person to ask about. I was told yes It was lost and nothing they could do for me and id still have to pay the bill. Ridicuoules to charge for a service that was never completed. I ended up having to go to the emergency room the pain was so bad after waiting days to get my test results. Do not reccomend this location whatsoever.

Someone (a nurse?) got all my basic health info and then I was seen by a physician assistant. While the receptionist and nurse seemed bored, the PA was super friendly. She cleaned me up and got me a prescription in no time. This location is newly built, nice and clean, and the PA told me they are generally never backed up, so it will definitely be my go to (hopefully I won't be back though!). After insurance my visit was about $90.

After having visited a different urgent care type setting a week earlier, I wasn't particularly…read morethrilled when my primary care physician wasn't available for a timely appointment and instead referred me to this setting, Franciscan Express Care. However, given my growing concern over some dehydration issues and an ongoing issue with my leg, I opted to go ahead and give Franciscan Express Care a chance. Located in the CityWay area of near downtown Indy, Franciscan Express Care is located across the street from my primary care physician but is situated somewhat better in that it has free parking and a pretty easily accessible building. The parking lot is smaller than expected, though it's fairly workable and does have accessible parking spots (though there's a slight grade to them). This same building offers urgent care, wellness programs, sports physicals, drug testing, occupational health, lab, and x-ray services. It's open from 7 am-11 pm daily, a definite plus in the world of urgent care. Because I am an active primary care patient of Franciscan, my registration process was fairly simple. I registered within a few minutes - the staff was friendly, though they were on the phone with a supervisor upon my arrival. They did apologize when they got off the phone. There was an electronic board that essentially told you where you were at in terms of waiting (without violating HIPAA). That was helpful and decreased the "I'm waiting" anxiety. Truthfully, the wait was rather short and I was taken back to do the usual pre-check followed by a visit with the physician's assistant. I believe here name was Sarah Thill, though I may be wrong. Regardless, she was incredibly compassionate, a great listener, asked good questions and expressed concerns that perhaps I should consider going to the ER. She opted to offer me an antibiotic with the recommendation that if I wasn't showing signs of improvement soon that I should go ahead and go to the ER for further evaluation. I was incredibly happy with her presence and the thoroughness of her evaluation that definitely went beyond the usual urgent care exam. I was easily in and out within an hour and my prescription was ready for me by the time I arrived at my pharmacy closer to my home. As things would pan out, a few days later I did end up being seen in the ER and admitted to the hospital for several days. So, essentially, the urgent care here really did their job and made a solid recommendation that ended up being 100% correct. I found the setting to be comfortable and the exam rooms to be more wheelchair-friendly than most urgent care settings I've been to in the past. While one never quite knows what to expect from urgent care given the different clinicians one may experience, my visit here was definitely positive and I would easily return should the need arise in the future. While I still prefer my primary care physician, this is a great alternative. As a matter of note, while I wasn't required to pay upfront because of my insurance my final bill ended up being just over $90 - a good 10-15% lower than most IU Health urgent care settings.

But with flu season fast approaching, I decided to check out a couple of the local clinics to see who could help me get my preventive shots for the 2020-21 season. This Minute Clinic is located within the CVS pharmacy/drug store on the south side of Mooresville. So, there is plenty of parking for both handicapped motorists as well as other. The signs for clinic hours are located on the front doors, so I knew when to get over to this location. Once there, several folks were scheduled ahead of me and the estimated wait time was 15 to 20 minutes, so I used the convenient computer to log in and select a time for when I wanted to come back and be seen. I was able to pick a time later in the morning which allowed me to grab a quick bite to eat and do some shopping since I knew that I had a reserved time. What I liked was that even though I wasn't seen by the clinic personnel exactly at that time, the monitor mounted on the wall over the computer gave me an estimated wait time which was just a few minutes due to some cases taking longer than simple flu shots and the insurance gathering requirements. The process went smoothly and I was soon on my way. The staff was friendly and I was informed that there would be no payment at that time since it had been successfully sent off to insurance. I suppose it depends upon your insurance coverage whether you would owe any additional amount or not. So glad to have this done. The other clinic I had gone to had no supply of vaccine available and when my wife called to find out if we could schedule a time, they didn't answer their phone. So, I was glad we had a pleasant experience at Minute Clinic instead of the other place. Review #3809

For those that don't read all of this, 3/5 stars is for the Emergency department. The Childbirth…read moreCenter should receive 10/5 STARS I am 25 weeks pregnant, and on August 19, after three days of progressively worsening and excruciating pain, I went to Hendricks Regional Health's Emergency Department because I knew something was not right. I had already tried Tylenol as instructed, stretching, dietary changes, and other measures at home. The Tylenol was no longer providing any relief, and the pain had become so severe that I was struggling to function, sleep, and work. The first ER physician I saw immediately recognized how much pain I was in and even discussed the possibility of admitting me for pain management while they investigated the cause. After IV Tylenol did not help, I was given a small dose of morphine, which was the first meaningful relief I had experienced in nearly two days. After several hours of testing, my care was transferred to another physician. By then, the medication was wearing off and my pain was returning severely. I was holding my side, restless, crying, and desperate for relief. I explained repeatedly that I had already been taking Tylenol and trying the recommended measures for days. Despite this, I was discharged and told that pregnant women experience this kind of pain all the time, that there was essentially nothing they could do, and that I should continue taking Tylenol and perform certain yoga stretches. The physician repeatedly emphasized that we did not want my baby to become "addicted to narcotics." I want to be very clear: I did not come to the hospital looking for narcotics. I was actually hesitant to take medication because I am pregnant. I came because I was experiencing pain unlike anything I had ever experienced and because everything I had already tried at home was failing. I had no desire for my baby to be exposed to unnecessary medication. I simply wanted someone to listen to me and figure out why I was in so much pain. I left the hospital in obvious distress and spent the night in agony without sleeping. The next morning, my pain was even worse. I initially returned simply hoping to obtain a work note because I had been discharged at approximately 1:30 a.m. and had been unable to sleep. When I explained what had happened, the staff member at the front desk encouraged me to check back in. She told me she was uncomfortable with me leaving in the condition I was in and suggested that the daytime physicians might be able to help. I am incredibly grateful that she listened. I was ultimately taken to Labor & Delivery, where the staff immediately recognized how distressed I was. They reviewed my previous testing and identified a much more significant concern involving swollen kidneys. Additional testing and treatment were started, and for the first time in days, I felt heard and believed. Several members of the care team told me that the level and persistence of pain I was experiencing could be worse than labor or contractions. My OB also recognized that this was not normal for me and that further investigation was necessary. I am not writing this review because I expect every diagnosis to be immediately obvious. I understand that medicine is complicated, particularly during pregnancy. I am writing because I believe a patient in severe, uncontrolled pain deserves to be listened to, especially when she is repeatedly explaining that the recommended treatment is not working. I also learned something through this experience: I did not know I was allowed to advocate for myself. I thought that because a physician had made a decision, I simply had to accept it. Even when my body was telling me something was wrong. I hope this experience can be used as an opportunity for the hospital to remind its providers that pregnant patients are still patients, and severe pain should not automatically be normalized or dismissed simply because pregnancy can be uncomfortable. I am grateful beyond words to the staff member who encouraged me to check back in, and to the Labor & Delivery team who finally listened. Their actions made an enormous difference during one of the most frightening and painful experiences of my pregnancy.

Hendricks Regional Health is really about what you'd expect from what qualifies as a "regional"…read morehospital. It offers vastly superior care to the majority of Indiana's county or rural hospitals, however, for those one county away in Indy it doesn't begin to compare to most Indianapolis hospitals and can't handle near the complexity of Indy's larger medical networks. My family has long had a connection to Hendricks Regional in a variety of capacities, though I'm obviously focusing on patient care. Both of my parents have been served here on multiple occasions with mixed results. My mother ended up being transferred out due to the complexity of her case. My father, whose care here was most recent, was treated kindly even if I somewhat felt like once his prognosis was determined to be poor (he is now in hospice) his care was dismissive. My overall thoughts? Hendricks has grown a lot and Danville is the main location and hospital with multiple medical buildings. I've spent several days here recently with loved ones and seldom saw the ER overly busy. Staff seemed friendly. It's important to note that this is not a Medicaid facility. They do offer the full spectrum of care, however, it seems like for more complex cases they'll likely defer to an Indianapolis network (I've had this happen twice with family). The hospital decor is simple yet clean. Rooms seem to be largely single-person. Most recently, my loved one was in both ICU and a med-surg room. Staff were friendly and helpful. I did find they were a bit casual about helping someone with personal care in front of others - which I find somewhat disrespectful, however, it improved once I brought this up. I found the food here to be pretty good. It's incredibly better than IU Health, for example. Hendricks is increasing its professional partnerships, as well. For example, I know they're part of the Mayo Clinic network and one of the doctors who consulted with my loved one was also in the Community network. Overall, I'd likely call Hendricks Regional a solid mid-range health facility that I wouldn't hesitate to go to for basic healthcare needs. For more comprehensive matters, I'd likely consider alternative options. Facilities are good, patient care is generally good with a blend of skill and smaller town compassion. Weekends are kind of shut down - you have to be careful about what entrance you use as some are much more difficult to access on weekends. I generally use the ER entry and it works fine. For those in Hendricks County, Hendricks Regional will likely meet most needs and for my Putnam County family it's likely worth the effort to make it here instead of deferring to the smaller county hospital in Putnam County. Always growing and improving, Hendricks Regional is a solid option for those in the area with basic healthcare needs but definitely not a destination hospital.
