As I mentioned, I had a very severe oil leak caused by an incompetent oil change they did.They were previously called Kings complete auto repair, or Kings auto repair,and claim to have been in business for 20 years.I just notice the address is the same,but they changed their name to American Tent??? When I wrote this review back on 8/7/14,I wrote it under Kings auto repair.I believe I was their only review.
I wonder how many names they have used,or locations they have worked at.Changing the name prevents you from information from previous reviews under a different name.It is the exact same thing as what apartments do all the time.When they change their names a lot.,or are under new management,there IS a reason for that.,My apt.recently did as well.I believe they did not want people to see all the really bad reviews.They had a 2 star rating for such awful treatment and response to any problems,and very slow response or even no response to complains,or things that need to be fixed.They changed the name,...however,if you look up them by their address,you can see all the bad reviews under the old name.Anywyas,,sorry to get off topic a bit.I am just making my point,about looking up the address or name(s),former names if you can find that info,or ,Kings complete auto repair, or Kings auto repair at 10751 Folsom Blvd in Rancho Cordova..I don't know what they were called before that,or where they may have been located before that,
Their office is a mess.It is awful,very dusty and very dirty.They don't even have water for customers,or a beverage machine,and it was very hot in there.No air conditioning.I don't think they even had 1 review.I am not positive though.They may have had one..
.I just wanted to post an update.Approximately a month ago I took my car back to them to fix the oil leak they caused from a oil change.I did not know the oil leak was caused by their oil change,Their technician inspected my car,not knowing they did it.He said something to the effect that the last place you had an oil change used the wrong filter and was not the right size or made for my car.I don't recall verbatim,.He told me I was lucky my engine did not die.So we went back to have them fix it.My car is now leaking oil again from the same place that "fixed" it and caused the problem to begin with
,I will not go back there again,I did not want to in the first place.I have never ,ever had something like this happen from a simple oil change.Not only did they overcharged us on their written estimate for the fixing of the oil leak and brakes. I think they should have fixed the oil leak free,as they caused it.
As I mentioned before they had a coupon off the cost of labor for brake service.They refused to honor it.So just fyi,the oil leak they caused,never apologized for,charged us to fix,is once again broken,just a little over a month after they "fixed" it.
I refuse to go back there.They clearly are incredibly incompetent,and I would NEVER,EVER consider allowing them to touch my car again.They have cheap prices, and weekly coupons in the pennysaver.I think that is what attracts people.I know I use coupons for oil changes and free inspections too.I want to mention,the owner can appear very polite,and respectful,but I don't know how many people have seen the side of him my father and I did.
I also suggest you consider why they have changed their name, and if they were in business 20 years as they say,why when they were called Kings complete auto or Kings auto,did they have one review?Mine.Or maybe 1 before mine.You do not save money if you have to keep repairing it because they can't fix things properly.Especially when they do not offer to fix their own errors.
They are not listed with the BBB,they have no awards to my knowledge for good service, and customer satisfaction,or based on the stores response due to any errors they make,...as most places apologize, and fix any errors they did for free,They do not have valid or any good reviews on yelp,except for the hidden ones,Mostly about how cheap they are, or how polite he is.What a joke.He is polite until he isn't.He gets irate.No exaggeration,
Just F.Y.I,he is NOT in a good standing with Angie's list,or any local reviews for sacramento.Such as KCRA, who does reviews of, "the best of Sacramento".We have not filed a complaint to the BBB yet,but we fully intend to now.
I admit,when I read reviews like this,I REALLY take them with a grain of salt.Some people are very irrational,blame everyone,and just want to complain.Some are not rational or are not being totally honest.You have to be careful who's reviews you believe.I wish I had recorded his behavior on my cell.So it is not just my word verses his if he ever responds.
