Seems pricey, but I'll have to try some of the classes before saying its overpriced

Here is the deal with GHF. They seem to have a tier as to which location they prioritize. While…read morethere is a great selection of group fitness classes, especially at the main location, the Women's Center does not seem to be a priority. They have been systematically eliminating the Body Pump class, which is very popular resulting in the remaining classes being very crowded to the point that they sometimes run out of equipment. Now, the fans in the group fitness room (where Body Pump is held) have not been working for about a month. The room is crammed with bodies and though there is air conditioning, it is not enough. We have complained and are told they are working on it. Again, it has been a month. We are convinced that this would not happen at the other two centers. Unfortunately we are a captured audience with really no other options.

I am a regular at OTF University and OTF Butler Plaza. Yesterday (08/06/2020) I ventured over to the Millhopper location for the very first time to use the gym and visit my favorite Coach Cosmo. I had never been to this gym before and sadly had to use a GPS to find it as I never ever go over to that side of town. Once I arrived I parked my car and got in line to workout. The line was pretty long and it was full of new faces I have never seen before. People were very friendly and talkative while waiting in line. Once inside the gym it is a big L Shape with treadmills and rowers on one side of the room and the weight room on the other. It was super nice. I will say this gym is a little smaller than Butler and University, but it is the oldest location in Gainesville and they were able to see the small size and make the other gyms bigger because of this. I highly recommend this gym if you're looking for a great workout.

As far as fitness spaces go, this one is welcoming and non-judgmental, which can be hard to find! Will is a great coach who spends time encouraging, correcting, and pushing each person who attends his classes. He is obviously very knowledgeable and designs workouts to progress in effective and fun ways. Will recently designed a tailored small group weekly class for our local roller derby team, and he quickly figured out what our bodies need and how to help us get to the next level as athletes. We are very glad to have developed a relationship with Will and Elevate!

Never however, have I worked out harder than I do at this gym. The workouts change daily and each one challenges you (workouts are a mix of strength, HIIT, and cardio). I have been doing the noon and afternoon group fitness classes (Elevate has early morning, noon, and evening classes). I love how I don't need to think about my workouts, they are always planned out perfectly by Will the owner and trainer. I always get a real workout rather than just walking around a normal gym confused and leaving after a mediocre attempt at a workout. Will coaches you throughout the class and tailors the weights and exercise to your ability while pushing you to work your hardest. I have seen great progress since I've began working out here and am growing stronger. I have done exercises I never thought I could, and even those I was always too scared to do. I can only imagine that his personal training is also top notch and even more personalized. Will is a great motivator and sincerely cares about his clients. Group classes while always tough, are also fun and the people at this gym make you feel like a big family. If you want to see actual progress in yourself, join this gym!

He suggested 1 meal a day and a full hour of cardio and a full hour of weight training each day for 6 days each week. This is called overtraining and low blood sugar most of the day. While I agree with his premise of a whole foods plant diet, his assertion that you can eat as much as you want as long as it's a whole plant food is simply not true. You cannot be drinking fruit smoothies and carrot juice all day, nor can you eat pounds of potatoes. He pronounces himself as an authority/expert and his ego is out of control. The fact is you can accomplish the same thing by being in a daily calorie deficit and NOT drinking your calories. Overtraining is not the answer, nor is starving yourself especially if you are older

I subsequently gained over 60 pounds and was unable to work out. Over the last 2 years, I began a process of reclaiming my health and was able to drop about 45 pounds mostly by cleaning up my eating, however, my weight plateaued, and I felt somewhat stuck. After conducting an internet search of area fitness studios, I came upon Zen Fitness, and followed a link at the bottom of their page to Instagram, and there began to find out about Carly. After mulling it over for about 3 months, I took the dive and sent a message to inquire about training packages. I was extremely nervous about being judged, not being able to complete the exercises, and the pressure to sign up for some packages. I knew after my first appointment that I had taken the right step. The gym is clean and is staffed by a community of great people who promote healthy eating (vegan) lifestyle. Carly does a great job at reading non-verbal cues and knows when to push a little bit more as well as knowing when to take a break. I have been in the gym for about 2 months now, he asked me if I noticed any differences and it took me a while to formulate a response. Here is what I know, a lot has changed over the last two months; I am happier, I have more energy, and my body is starting to show definition. Prior to working with the studio, I felt stuck on my journey to get my body back. Now I feel supported, encouraged, and much more highly motivated. Thanks to support from Carly I feel confident that I am moving in the right direction.

On this recent trip an eight mile hike took all day and it felt like I was about to get heat stroke. Heavy breathing, had to take a break every 15 minutes. That was it. I was about 50 pounds overweight, had a poor diet and no clue how to get started. I gave Swamp Fitness a call and met with Jared. We spent an hour and half talking about where I was at physically and emotionally, where I wanted to get to and why, and what I was willing and wanted to do. All these things were important to match me with the right trainer. Do you want to do weights, cardio, gym workouts or work at home? They can accommodate whatever you kind of program you think will work or suggest one that will, and if it doesn't, it can be changed so it does work. I have been working with Jonathan as my trainer.
