Riders blasting their music (hardcore vulgar language) and no ear phones 4. Smoking on the platforms 5. Broken display screens at the downtown Campbell platform. 6. When trains are being held up there is no longer communication or explanation from the conductor to the riders. 7. The list goes on ... I will continue to ride as it just makes sense financially and is so convenient but I wish that security was more present so that riders aren't assaulted by the odder, music and dogs who have no business on the Light Rail. But everyone's experience is different, so when I tell you that I've had both the best and the worst service imaginable while an Uber passenger, as a practical matter, that shouldn't have any bearing on your decision to use (or to avoid) Uber. And since each driver is unique, any advice I might offer for managing your trips would be useless. I do like that I know the price before I get in the car, a feature that makes using Uber better than taking a taxi, especially in foreign countries. So, three stars, which is "meh" and "could be worse" all in one.

Jeanette arrived on time, was very professional, and I felt safe at all times with her as the driver. She was open to any stops that we wanted to go to, was helpful with taking photos for us, and was very flexible with the time. (We went a couple of hours overtime and she was gracious about it.) Fast forward to a year later, my husband booked them again for our one year anniversary. Again, it was a surprise for me. He essentially recreated our first date, and ended up proposing to me at Christmas in the Park. Our pedicab driver was great and took video footage and photos of the proposal for us. Priceless memories that I'll always cherish! When it was time to plan our wedding, we wanted to incorporate the pedicab somehow. We reached out to Jeanette, and ended up renting one of their pedicabs and had a friend drive us into the wedding reception as part of our grand entrance. We surprised our guests and they all loved it! We used the pedicab afterwards as a prop for photos for all our guests and it was a huge hit! Some background on my situation: I have epilepsy, as a result of that reality I have forfeited my driver's license. I depend on taxis and buses to commute over and hour to work often, as well as getting to and from my girlfriend's/ friend's. I made an online reservation and the dispatch guy called me a few minutes later to confirm. The driver came right when I asked, picked me up from Palo Alto and drove me to San Jose. Luckily there was no traffic and by the time we got there, I still had some time before my interview. I was hungry and we saw a McDonald's nearby. So the driver went over and got into the drive through line. I was worried about the meter and told him I'd just go inside and walk back to the office. But he said not to worry about the meter. Instead, he stayed in the drive through line, waited with me and even treated me to coffee! When we got back to the office for my interview, I pulled out my credit card (yes, there's an app for that!) and he didn't charge me the whole amount. (Don't remember the exact meter, but I paid something like $45 instead of $60) He said that since I was looking for a job, he didn't want me to pay full price as long as I wrote him a Yelp review. Not only did he calm my stresses about my interview, he treated me to coffee and gave me a huge discount......he TOTALLY MADE MY DAY!!!!
