I would not recommend this company. After writing my review, I was surprised to see that other…read morepeople have had similar issues that seem to link back directly to the same thing I'm dealing with now. My review about my experience with the company is as follows: Taylor is the person who answered the phone the day I called in regards to getting a quote for granite countertops. In working with Taylor, a few lessons were learned. She lacks basic communication skills to schedule appointments, has difficulty following up after being reminded and many other skills needed to complete her job. She also managed to entirely mess up a granite order by having the wrong color granite installed. The day I called we discussed what color granite I was looking for and she advised she'd send me some options via text (and then needed to be reminded multiple times to do it). I only received one picture (it was of the counter in the office, so no samples at all, and I was advised there was no one images on the website to select the color either. We did speak specifically about the difference between two of the few level one granites they offer (one with a white base and one with a beige base). I made it clear a few times that we were looking for the one with the beige base. The wrong color installed and her response was to tell me there was natural variations in the stone. I've had many granite countertops installed and let me tell you this wasn't just about a variation in the stone. I've attached a photo so that you can see what awful excuse she tried to pull (after being advised to say this to me by Derek who I'm left to guess is the owner/her boss) Once I brought to her attention that her answer was completely wrong for this situation she then went on to say if I wanted to pick out a color I needed to go to the warehouse and that the contractor signed the contract to have the lighter color installed (it was her writing on the contract, so she told the contractor that, that's the color we discussed wrote it on the contract and then blamed the contractor for it too!) I was also never asked to go to the warehouse and since we had multiple conversations about the color, and she was aware we did have a preference. The issue goes further than that even. The slab was cut poorly, edges over the lower cabinets hang out further than they should in the corners, and they damaged the front porch, breaking tiles as they came into the home. Their employees didn't even mention it which makes me think this is probably something they do all the time. Derek said this issue would be fixed, but no appointment has been set up, he certainly hasn't reached out and after seeing how unprofessional he and his staff are blaming their failures on their customers, I don't expect that it will be fixed. I do not support any company that doesn't stand behind their work and isn't even big enough to admit when they're wrong. I'll be looking for another company to help with our next project and I'd advise anyone who's wondering if this is the right company for them to do the same.

Our garden tub sprung a leak which necessitated the remodel. We hired CMK Construction to remodel…read moreour shower/tub area. Best. Decision. Ever! We got 2 bids before hiring CMK. One company came out to meet with us and then never called us back to see if we wanted to proceed with them or if we had any questions. Their pricing was also higher than CMKs and even though their methodology seemed comprable, their lack of communication didn't bode well. Our first CMK visit on 3/3 was with Jason C. who went over all of the details with us. Hubby and I decided to eliminate the garden tub altogether and expand the shower area. We really didn't have a clear idea of what we wanted and Jason encouraged us to look at Pinterest and other sites to get a better feel for what it could look like. The printed information Jason gave us regarding their workmanship and guarantees was very reassuring. He even gave us a sheet to do comparisons with other companies and with questions we could ask to better compare bids. He explained how they use a special water barrier to ensure moisture doesn't seep into the walls. He also gave us printed instructions with what we could expect at each stage of construction. Super helpful! Once we decided on CMK, they sent us a proposal and we were off to the races! They estimated 4-6 weeks for the entire project. We signed the contract on 3/31. They let us know that we were in their queue for August. We then met with Grady S. who is one of their designers. Grady came out to the house on 4/23 to look at the existing bathroom and to ask us specific questions on what colors and hardware we were looking for. He measured everything and said he'd schedule us to come to their design studio to make final selections. We met Grady on May 6 and he helped us select wall tiles, floor tiles, paint colors, and hardware. Once we made the selections, he printed out CAD drawings of everything so we could get a feel for what it would look like. From there, they ordered everything for our job. We had a pre-construction meeting with our assigned project manager, Zach N. on 7/17. Zach said they could start earlier than expected and went over the contract and the change order we requested. Again, he made sure that we were all on the same page. From there on, Zach communicated with us throughout the whole process via phone and text. He also came by often to check up on the work that was being done. They began on July 21 2026. The contractors that they used were all very professional and easy to work with. Some of the crews spoke very little to no English (Spanish and Portuguese), but since I am a bilingual Latina, it was no problem for us, although I could see where this could be an issue with other clients. The demo team put down butcher paper from the front door to and including the master bath and also put down plastic on our carpet. Then they proceeded to put up plastic walls to cut down on the dust, which I completely appreciated!! It still got dusty, but that's to be expected. Demo was done in a day and then they started working on the shower. The contractors that came out were very knowledgeable and made some great suggestions, which we incorporated, as they were working. They came out most days. After the demo team was done, the concrete team (that's what I call them) came out and installed the Schluter waterproofing system and put up the wall tiles and floor tiles. The plumber Mitch L. came out to do his bit, as did the electrician who installed a new exhaust fan. Mitch was super informative regarding what had to be done. We had a termite guy come out and spray the floor before they poured the new concrete. The painter was very detail oriented and didn't leave until he was fully satisfied with the work. He really did a great job and went above and beyond. He took away all of the floor coverings and swept all the areas. Mitch came back out to install the shower hardware and ensure that it was working properly. Both Mitch and Zach were in communication with the Pasco County inspectors and all approvals were done via Zoom. Gotta love technology! Tomorrow they will install the glass above the knee wall and do the final clean. It took 3 weeks. I can't say enough about CMK as a whole and the team, including Jason, Grady, and especially Zach. They under-promised and over-delivered! Remodeling is very expensive work and I'm so very glad we went with CMK. I can highly recommend them!!
