His studio is an intimate space for fostering creativity and collaboration, and I can't say enough about his teaching style. He is encouraging, patient, talented, and depending on what you'd like to learn, he can run through heavy music theory or help you figure out how to play your own stuff. He really tailors lessons around your own goals. I brought in some difficult starter music and instead of telling me to start with something easier, he helped me pick it apart and take it piece by piece so I could eventually play what I wanted. It is for kids ages 0-5, which at first I was nervous about, but it was fine. Parent involvement is needed, so if you think you are going to go and just watch, you are wrong. The class is on Saturdays before the store opens, and you need to per-register. It is an 8 week class that is about $130 for one kid and $200 for 2. The teacher gets everyone to sing songs, play instruments, and dance. My kids loved the drums and the songs. They made us all have a dance party and my little guy was rocking out to " We will Rock You" by Queen. It is nice that it is not all kiddy songs. They also were showing the kids how to keep a rhythm with drum sticks. I highly recommend this class to anyone with little rock stars!
