Just got back my Honda lawnmower that was under warranty and serviced by these morons. They said they could not find anything wrong but charged me $50 to clean the grass from underneath the bottom of the mower. What jerks. Not sure it will do any good but I'm going to see if I can file a complaint with Honda. Will never go back for anything! read more

Purchase a $800 Honda Lawnmower from this place. After using it 2x it would no longer start. I went back and they told me they would repair it at no cost because it was still under warranty (only 2 weeks old). When I went back they wanted to charge me $125 for the "repairs." When I told the person at the desk that I was told there would be not charge, he asked me who told him that. I told him, "you did." I told them I wanted the money back for the mower - they refused. The would not give me my mower back unless I paid the charges. Only under threat of criminal prosecution did they finally return the mower. I would advise anyone not to do business with this place unless you get any agreement in writing. There are plenty of good lawnmowers service centers in Powell that are reputable. read more

Dropped a mower deck off at Voss Brothers for a simple weld and to have spindles removed with strict instructions not to remove other pulleys or idler arm, morning drop off. Called up in the evening asked if deck was ready yet the one man service guy said, "who told you it will be ready", I said "no one I was just checking since I dropped it off early morning", he replied again "who told you it will be ready, it won't be ready for at least two days', his tone was that of angry man, he was like lecturing me that I had no business in calling to check on my own mower deck. Two days latter I get a call the person did not identify himself or the company he was with he just said two words in the same hostile tone, "it's ready". I went to pick it up and the pulleys and idler arm were removed the ones I told his associate not to remove. I never dealt with the service guy when I was there it was someone else who worked the same area. I asked him why was the pulleys and idler arm removed when I told you not to remove them, his reply "I don't know why he removed them I remember you telling me that". I complained and told him about the conversation with the service tech. I demanded the pulleys to be put on exactly as they were. I went inside and complained again to an older guy told him the whole story, his reply, " I don't know anything about that". Latter that day Voss calls again, same call and tone, "it's ready". I get there the pulleys and idler arm was completely on backwards, the working pulleys now frozen, none of the bolts they removed that I told them not to were the same or compatible. At this point I just want to get out of there so I went up front to pay the bill and to my surprise for this simple weld and to have the spindles removed and all their mistakes it came to 162.00, 10 minutes of work if that. I paid it got the hell out of there and now writing this review to warn others before they purchase a new mower from them or bringing an older one for repair as in either case I would not trust this outfit as far as I could throw them. read more

Avoid Voss Bros at all costs! Worst customer service I have ever seen. They took a ridiculous amount of time to repair the mower. They made me think that my $1600 riding mower was lost or stolen twice. They blamed me for breaking something that was working fine before they touched it. Read below for the full details. I filled out their online form for service on my riding mower. It took them several weeks to contact me, and then they didn't even read the form. I had to explain to the man on the phone what I wanted done which was exactly what I had written on the form. The guy asked if he could pick up the mower the same day. Specifically, he wanted to drive over and pick it up as soon as we got off the phone. I told him that I would see him in an hour, I left work, drove home, and pulled the mower around to the front yard. He took the mower without knocking on the door or contacting me in any way. When I looked out front to see if he had arrived yet the mower was already gone. I called the company and got voicemail. I explained on the voicemail that I was concerned that my lawnmower was stolen instead of picked up by Voss Bros, and I asked for a call back. No one ever returned my call. I waited 2 weeks, and I called for an update. The guy that answered the phone didn't have record of them picking up the lawn mower. This was the second time I thought my mower was lost or stolen. He said he would look for it, and he called back 30 - 45 minutes later with the details of the repair and a poor excuse for why it was taking so long. He gave me a date when they would have it fixed (which they missed by 4 days). When the guy returned the mower the parking break was broken (which was a completely new problem). When I pointed that out he accused me of breaking it. I made him put the mower back on the truck and repair this new problem. I called Voss Bros and talked to the manager (which was the owner's brother). He basically said that he was aware of the problems with his staff and that nothing could be done about it. He then asked me how I wanted to pay the full amount. No offer for discount or anything to make up for the horrible service. Just a Yep, I know. Now give me your money. I have a working mower now, but I'll never return to Voss Bros. read more

Waited 4 weeks to get a problem with mower belt fixed. While waiting we used tractor almost daily to pull wagon as we filled it with debris so otherwise tractor worked fine. Voss fixed belt and 'tuned up' tractor for $400. When we got it back it will not run. Called and were told we would have to wait for service again. read more

As a repeat customer, figured the first bad experience was just a fluke and opted to give them a second chance. Second experience was much worse. Not only did it take a long time (2 months), it was very expensive. I would find another place to have your equipment serviced. read more

Great service and a great deal on my new tractor. Bought a Mahindra tractor from Voss Bros, and I was taken care of from start to finish. They even delivered the tractor directly to my house. The process was smooth and easy, with much of the work done over the internet, so I got to avoid spending a lot of time sitting at the store and more time with my family. read more
