The technician demanded cash ($300) to get the needed springs. We should have ended the deal right then. He returned the next day and installed the springs and collected another$300 via credit card. The door was working but making a terrible noise. he said he could fix that for more money. We declined. Today the side of the door that did not have a problem is totally torn apart and the door doesn't work at all. We suspect the wrong springs were used and have called another company to fix the mess.

I think Yelp probably should take down the reviews for a mechanic because this company is getting a lot of stars that they aren't earning.

However, my wife talked with the service technician (who arrived exactly when I was told he would) and she saw the damage he pointed out --- this was no simple solution and certainly nothing I could have repaired myself. Repairs were conducted in a timely manner and the garage door works better than it has since I've been in this house! I used to work in Property Management and I was dreading several thousand dollars to replace the door entirely, but the repair was much more economical and (knock on wood) should last us a while longer, yet. Disappointed with service we received from Allied exactly 1 year ago…read more The service provided was a double spring replacement for our garage door. We unfortunately found out today that the springs don't match and we were forced to replace them using another company. As a business owner myself, I am disappointed in the shoddy craftsmanship and lack of integrity the worker provided. I feel as though this intentional lack of care or regard for my family's safety, as well as our property (vehicles) was offensive. I sent an email to the owner asking for a refund, and for them to address the situation. They unfortunately declined to respond. I do not like to give bad reviews, but this company opted to ignore my email and had no interest in righting a very terrible wrong.
