After getting us in the house and realizing the current lock had had all the fun it could stand, the young man quoted a reasonable price for a new digital lock (considering the time of night and the lock being in stock). He had to go back to the shop to get the new digital lock and then had to drill a bigger hole for the lock which was an adventure itself. It was well after midnight before he finished up and I certainly felt like the $300+ for everything was a bargain considering. That lock has worked wonderfully for us for the years since until recently when it either needs a new battery (which I have been too lazy to deal with) or something more complicated. Until I find the gumption to assail getting a new battery and replacing it, we have been using the key that came with the lock and the wife got tired of not having a key for her so I dropped in to get another key made. Nice fellow greeted me when I entered and about 5 minutes and $3.75 later I was headed back to my car. I have watched a passel of YouTube videos particular to our lock so I know that if the new battery doesn't solve the lock problem then I shall be removing the lock and bringing it to them to fix. The wife can stand guard at the house while I am gone. Meanwhile we both have a key to lock and unlock our front door. If you need a locksmith I can wholeheartedly recommend these folks. When they finally did the install, they did a pathetic job of installing the gate opener. Over a two-week period they seemed to try half-heartedly to determine the problem, after we told them twice they had put in bad batteries (yes, two dead batteries, one after the other). The solar panel was never mounted properly. I finally got tired of waiting on them to "figure out what the problem is" and spent one hour working on the set up. I put a good battery on it, mounted the solar panel properly, and it is working fine. The next day after I got it working they came back with a good battery, but still not a battery box with a lid. Just a plastic box on its side with the battery stuck in it. Pehaps the worst business in Tallahassee I've ever had to work with. I almost forgot to mention that on one of the times they had someone working on the gate, I arrived home. I started talking to them, and by the time I walked away one of the guys implied that I had cut wires on the system, that they would never leave wires like that. Total BS, they were the only people to work on the system.

When I tried to get them to come back and adjust the led light level they accused me of trying to steal $125.00 "handyman time" from them. I have diabetes and LED lights are too bright. They were slow to repair damage done from tornado and showed up when they wanted. One also reeked of cigarette smoke.
