I wish that I could leave 10 Stars! Words cannot adequately…read moreexpress our appreciation to Melissa Howard and Dawg Dynasty for their outstanding and loving care of our dog Macie during the Christmas Holidays. The facility was immaculate and well equipped. The kennels were large with elevated pet beds and blankets. We were also allowed to bring Macie's bed to help her feel at home, as well as her favorite toys. The outside play area was securely fenced and offered a covered area for those reluctant to relieve themselves in the rain. There were also elevated beds for those guests wanting to enjoy the sun. Much to our (and other family member's) delight, pictures were regularly shared of our pup enjoying her Christmas vacation with "new friends". Santa even appeared on Christmas Eve and left each pup a stocking full of toys and treats. It's difficult to leave a furbaby anytime, but Dawg Dynasty treats their " four-legged guests" like beloved family members. Although this was our first stay, we cannot imagine boarding Macie at any other facility.

Some local pet service providers do not offer grooming for large breed dogs. We're so grateful that Pearl's does because we've had a few: "Bubba" (our Labradane)... "Max" (our Rottweiller mix)... and now there's "Ladybug" (our Irish Wolfhound / Giant Schnauzer). We dropped her and "BeeBee" (our Black Mouth Cur) off for grooming early this morning and the joint was already jumpin'. Pearl's Tlc Boarding Kennel is always a busy place. My nephew's dog, Titan, went missing the morning after being dropped off at Kennelodge in…read morePortsmouth. When I asked how far their cameras go back and if we could review different angles--just to understand how Titan got out and ensure the footage wouldn't be overwritten--I was told no, because other dogs might be visible. I was then called delusional and crazy for even asking. Initially, my sister (my nephew's mother) was told there was no camera footage. Later, she was sent a screen recording showing Titan getting out of his kennel and into the common area--still within their fenced property. So clearly, footage did exist. When Titan first went missing, a staff member told us they had just started looking and had already called my nephew to notify him. That same staff member told my sister the last place they saw Titan heading toward was the Second Street bridge and west side. Our family, including my sister, immediately began searching that area--and even saw the Kennelodge truck parked near the racetrack side, suggesting they were also looking in that location. But after about two hours of searching, the story changed. We were then told that Titan had actually been lost near OSCO, a completely different area. These conflicting and shifting accounts made an already difficult search much more confusing and frustrating. Friends and family have been searching nonstop--on foot, by car, drone, and kayak. We're not trying to create problems or blame anyone. We just want to find Titan. But the inconsistent information, lack of cooperation, and dismissive treatment from the owners and staff has been incredibly disappointing. This is not the type of response anyone should receive from a facility entrusted with the care of people's pets.

Our dog was quite nervous on arrival for grooming services but was at ease and happy when we came to pick him up. His nails are black and so hard to trim and avoid the quick so it's such a treat to find someone to help with his nails. Brooke used a grinder instead of clippers to ensure that she wouldn't nip him. 10/10 would highly recommend for grooming. We didn't use the boarding facilities but they were easily visible and were very nice and clean. They have lots of technology to view your fur-baby during boarding and if needed, I would certainly use them for boarding without hesitation.
