Gloria took the time to talk to me about the concerns about my pups ears after his groom. I didn't notice it, but was lucky enough to have a serious pet lover/ groomer look him over. Scheduled my dog for a vet visit the following week and they were shocked that she had even caught it. If I could rate 50 stars, I would. Best in class and very sweet! They claimed they couldn't do his nails because he wouldn't let them that he was biting and chewing on all the tools and biting them so they had to put him in a crate to dry. He was not only wet but soap was still all over his head, neck, thorax and flank and was partially clumsy drying in. Then his nails were not all finished just a fee clipped and in the worst way possible. We took him to another groomer immediately to get him washed properly and the nails fixed and they seen where his nails were cut badly. They said he was a well behaved pup that wanted to give loves but did not chew or misbehave at all for them. Skeens should be ashamed to allow this.

My nephew's dog, Titan, went missing the morning after being dropped off at Kennelodge in…read morePortsmouth. When I asked how far their cameras go back and if we could review different angles--just to understand how Titan got out and ensure the footage wouldn't be overwritten--I was told no, because other dogs might be visible. I was then called delusional and crazy for even asking. Initially, my sister (my nephew's mother) was told there was no camera footage. Later, she was sent a screen recording showing Titan getting out of his kennel and into the common area--still within their fenced property. So clearly, footage did exist. When Titan first went missing, a staff member told us they had just started looking and had already called my nephew to notify him. That same staff member told my sister the last place they saw Titan heading toward was the Second Street bridge and west side. Our family, including my sister, immediately began searching that area--and even saw the Kennelodge truck parked near the racetrack side, suggesting they were also looking in that location. But after about two hours of searching, the story changed. We were then told that Titan had actually been lost near OSCO, a completely different area. These conflicting and shifting accounts made an already difficult search much more confusing and frustrating. Friends and family have been searching nonstop--on foot, by car, drone, and kayak. We're not trying to create problems or blame anyone. We just want to find Titan. But the inconsistent information, lack of cooperation, and dismissive treatment from the owners and staff has been incredibly disappointing. This is not the type of response anyone should receive from a facility entrusted with the care of people's pets.

My husband took our three dogs…read morein -- all of them wildly overdue for grooming, heavily matted, and a trio of deeply offended drama queens/kings with trust issues and tangles. There was barking. There were nerves. There were... let's call them "marking-related incidents." One of them even tried to bite her (apparently her new move when she feels vulnerable and over-groomed). But Amanda? Cool as a cucumber. Patient, kind, unbothered, like she grooms chaos daily. Which, clearly, she does. And somehow, despite all that, they came home looking fantastic; neatly shaved, totally refreshed, and about ten pounds lighter in fur and drama. One of them actually pranced around like he'd just returned from a luxury wellness retreat. And the smell? Incredible. No weird residue, no mystery "dog cologne" cloud, no lingering ear funk. (If you've ever had a groomer forget the ears, you know exactly the kind of death-like smell I'm talking about -- Amanda didn't miss a thing.) She loves what she does, and it shows -- in the care, the detail, and the way our dogs actually seemed relieved afterward. We've decided she's stuck with us now.
