Total loss of trust and confidence in their ability to practice medicine on my children. When I arrived to pick up my records, DR James said he has 7-10 business days, smiled and said he'll be taking the 10 business days to deliver the record, and invited me to leave. I asked ,"really just because I'm leaving? A child is in need." He had no remorse, smiled, and said yup! And again invited me to leave, which I did calmly but very confused on how this could be legal. Very sad day for Oak Ridge TN Health Care System.

Soon after his arrival, my son needed an 80 percent blood transfusion due to complications and Dr. Feld was on call in the St. Mary's NICU that night. It took him hours to do the transfusion as it had to be done manually by hand. We decided to stay with him as a pediatrician after this and I am forever thankful for such a caring, experienced doctor for both my children. Throughout several other situations over the years, everyone at Tots and Teens has always been top notch and treated my children with the upmost concern and attention. His knowledge, thoroughness, and genuine care is second to none. I have referred friends to this office and only good things have come back to me. Every practitioner we have encountered in our sick and well visits have been wonderful-friendly, thorough, informative, and compassionate. Dr. Gilmer caught a medical issue with our 8-year-old that needed to be treated ASAP, which we are so grateful for. Dr. Solomon is very thorough and amazingly sweet and patient with our preschool-aged twins. There is a bit of a wait once you are directed to a room, but thats no big deal to us if a doctor is ensuring that your child is well cared for and you have all of your questions addressed. During COVID times, the waiting room is closed. They have you wait in your car and enter on the left side of the building for well visits and the main entrance for sick visits. You are told what room number to meet them in. Everyone is masked, even after the local mandate has been lifted.

When our son was born last year my wife and I decided that we didn't want to vaccinate him for a while and when we did we wanted to do it in small increments to allow his body to take to them better. Peerless wouldn't see him so we had to find another office that would and that's when we found Ocoee Pediatrics. They were very receptive to our needs and to our desires and supported us 100%. Every time we go we feel like we have just arrived at a friend's house. They somehow know our names when we walk in and always answer our questions. If you are trying to decide where to take your child give them a chance, I think you'll be happy.
