In addition, the responses I received around temperament were quite vague, which made it difficult to confidently assess the puppy. For something as important as selecting a dog -- especially when temperament matters long-term -- I expected clearer, more detailed communication. Overall, the process felt inconsistent and not particularly well-coordinated.

We never got our papers after countless times of asking and waiting 5 weeks. Our pup was supposed to be chipped but was not after I asked the vet to scan her since we couldn't get papers. Pup had fleas and tapeworm and business etiquette was very poor including very poor response times and honesty. Thankfully our pup is a good dog but its about the whole package. At the end of the day its a business and people pay a large amount for dogs and in return except at a minimum honesty and paperwork.

She went into depth on why each thing was as it was and how she cares for them daily, she has really put a lot of time and thought into the design of her little animal facility. We've spent hundreds of dollars on vet bills treating Five rounds of Giardia and Four rounds for a UTI. The day we picked her up she smelled of "funk". Even after we bathed her, the foul smell remained. We were never allowed to visit Midwest puppy (due to COVID). They neglected to reimburse our 1st treatment as promised, telling us to try seeing a different veterinarian for stronger treatment. We requested photos of our pup's mother to no avail. Why is this? They didn't care to get to know us via conversation or application (no screening). All it took was a deposit. Moving forward, we will adopt a Rescue. Good luck!

We picked up a Bernedoodle puppy 6 weeks ago. She is sweet and adorable, but has had health issues…read moresince we brought her home. Midwest Puppy let us know at pick up that she had loose stool, said it's because puppies eat their poop, sent us home with metronidazole, and it unfortunately hasn't been "normal" yet. Her stool sample from her initial vet visit after pick up showed Giardia, which we successfully treated. Since then she's been through 2 rounds of Metronidazole for diarrhea and a round of antibiotics for a UTI/vaginitis. We are moving onto a second round of antibiotics because the infection hasn't cleared; she also has a slightly recessed vulva which will hopefully correct during her first heat cycle. She is still having chronic diarrhea that we are trying a prescription food to correct. Midwest Puppy has been great with communication and truly seem sorry we have had such issues. We are $1000 into vet bills in 6 weeks on a $2000 puppy. Puppies are a risk but we'd hoped with a breeder we would have better luck.

My mastiff went in for a removal of a fluid collection on her elbow. Typically 2-3cm incision. She…read morehad imaging done prior so knew it was fluid. They cut her completely open with a 6cm incision and sutured her and didn't even approximate the incision. She's a large dog, 125lb, they squeezed her into too small of a cannel and she tried to lay down and cut her foot open on the cannel requiring another bandage. They also sent her home with no pain medication. Only gabapentin I'm so upset and really don't understand. We will be calling tomorrow to get some answers. She's miserable. Pat and his wife were excellent, however their focus is on equine and breeding horses so whoever is left in the office is very green and not experienced enough to be completely procedures alone.
