Veronica is the most dishonest, deceitful person with zero ethics or integrity. It all started as…read morewe began our search for an agent. We had to work quickly to sell our house given that we were relocating out of state for work within the next 2-3 weeks. Veronica did a great job marketing herself but once we signed the listing agreement, that is when it all went south and she and her broker showed their true colors. If you are looking for an agent in the central Florida area, DO NOT EVER USE VERONICA WHITTINGTON OR COLDWELL BANKER COAST REALTY. If you want to know why, read on. Otherwise just trust that she gives other real estate agents a bad name. She represented the business in such a deceptive, dishonest, deceitful way that she has shrouded this business in a way where I will never look at real estate agents the same way. She misled us in regards to how we can terminate the listing agreement at any time if we are dissatisfied with her service. When partnering with her broker surrounding our concerns in the partnership, he recommended we work with his wife. She failed to schedule photography in a timely manor resulting in not having pictures with furniture. Refused to do virtual staging unless we paid for it. Scheduled open houses behind our back and then lied about it calling them "private tours" after we specifically told her we didn't want any open houses because there is no benefit. We requested minimum 1 hour notice if any showings because we were packing. She called 15 minutes before another agent and potential buyers were going to show up. We had to frantically get the house ready for a showing. She was unresponsive on multiple occasions claiming she was out of town or had a hectic weekend. Did not market the property the way she said she would. Never included take aways at the property after they were specifically requested by us on several occasions. Unprofessional mistakes in the property photos, including a photograph of a kitchen that wasn't even ours and after multiple request over the course of a month she told us that we could reach out to the marketing team in the office to have it removed. We had to rewrite the property description and upload our own photographs because the description was more about the developer, clubhouse, and Daytona Beach than it was the house. The photographs were primarily aerial photos of the pool and neighborhood. Negotiated offers on our behalf without consulting us first stating that we were ok with contingencies in the offer and failing to share that we had multiple offers on the home. Sharing information in a counter offer with the buyer's agent that compromised our position as a seller because it provided visibility into our negotiation tactics. Lying and saying she submitted a counter offer but we never signed one. When asked about it she skirted around the question and all of a sudden she sent us a document to sign after she claimed she already submitted it. Her lack of knowledge and understanding of the real estate market is sub par. She provided pricing suggestions not based on fact or neighborhood comps. Her broker was just as bad. He failed to disclose that he was a principle in the title company that began working on our close without us even confirming we wanted to use them as our closing agent. We began receiving phone calls and emails from Clear Title saying that they were working on our close. When asked about it, Rob tried to push us to use them and only then did he disclose his interest in the company. So I think that pretty much summarizes why you should never work with Veronica Whittington or Coldwell Banker Coast Realty. If you have taken the time to read this review, thank you! I want to protect you as a buyer or seller from a nightmare of a process. Spread the word and make sure Veronica and Rob don't have the opportunity to ruin what should be an incredible experience for anyone else.
