I was there today around 10am. I would say it was averagely busy. L&L market has plenty of space and seating. There is seating at Honest and then seating around the market. I appreciate that there are other shops and plenty of room for my kids to run around. There is 3 hours of free parking outside - just wait til you are inside to scan the barcode.

My reasoning for the 3 star rating is that the coffee is never consistent. I always get a vanilla latte and today especially it tasted closer to water than to coffee. As far as the breakfast sandwich, it was good but thought it was pretty pricey ($10.50). I do really like the location and the ambiance but for me it's not on my short list of go-to coffee shops in Nashville.

The baristas were super polite and welcoming too. We ordered a lavender latte with a medium roast for me, and a honey latte for my husband. Both were fantastic. I was a little worried the lavender might be too overpowering or overly sweet, but it was done just right. The floral notes were subtle, and the quality of the coffee bean really shone through with a great roast and aroma. My husband's honey latte was just as good. Overall, the coffee is well-priced and the experience from start to finish was wonderful. Definitely a spot worth visiting.

Stopping here is a must every morning before work. I'm either getting 1 or 3 plus drinks for my co-workers. This is the routine. I'm leaving a 3 star today due to the lack of attention to detail when ordering. I placed an order for pickup. Code was scanned and drink was being prepared. I always ensure oat/almond milk is stated for the sake of my gut issues. I was given my drink not concerned with how it was made considering it's usually correct. By time I got halfway to work I took a nice little sip only to find it was made with Whole Milk. Major let down that could cause serious issues for someone who has a severe allergy. What I do know is I have had an unsettled stomach all day at work. Please pay attention to orders moving forward and what milk substitutes are requested prior to sending the drinks out. Had I not been all the way across town I would have returned the drink and requested a remake.

($40 for a hole filled old t-shirt? That should be $5 max). My friend had the specialty latte which had honey, foam on top and I think bee pollen? They had a large selection of furniture, clothing, accessories, and more. I'm impressed with how much inventory they have and the space they have for it all too. First, we got coffee. I ended up ordering an Iced Latte with oat milk. It was good, the oat milk was smooth and complemented the overall drink. My latte was good, but I wasn't blown away. I wish it had a little bit of sweetness. My friend got their specialty drink which was a latte with peanut foam(?) or some type of peanut cream on top and a strawberry jam for a "Peanut Butter and Jelly" latte. It tasted really good, I liked the sweetness the strawberry jam added. It was a good blend of sweet but not too sweet. And they served our drinks in this pretty coffee window with red tile. It was so pretty! We took a good couple of minutes documenting all our drinks lined up haha. When we were browsing the vintage store, I found this slip dress I really liked. There are also two fitting rooms in the back which was nice to have. Anyways, I brought it to the front but there wasn't a tag attached to the slip dress. Apparently they couldn't sell me the dress because the vendor is the only one who can put price tags on their items. That's fine, but my question is why do they have inventory on the rack that they can't sell anyways? Or, is the vendor unreachable for issues like this that can come up so they just don't do anything about it? Those are my qualms about the place, but other than that I liked it here. Parking was a little tough coming in, we were lucky to find an empty parking space. And this storefront is right off the main road, so this is just something to keep in mind while arriving here.

But back in 2017…read moreto 2019, I used to come here to work/study and accidentally discovered the breakfast burrito. And oh boy. I became addicted. Then COVID hit. Window pickup became a thing. That burrito was basically my emotional support animal throughout 2020. I ate it almost every damn day. It was $5.95 and genuinely one of the greatest things I had ever put in my mouth. Fast forward a few years. I hadn't had it in forever. Today I came back, craving my beloved COVID breakfast burrito. Sweet baby Jesus. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED. The audacity to call this thing a burrito should be investigated by the FBI. It's apparently wrapped in filo dough (pretty sure), which means it's baked, aggressively buttery, ridiculously doughy, and somehow almost raw underneath. This is not a burrito. This is a pastry having an identity crisis. The beans were basically the entire personality of the thing. Barely any vegetables. The egg tasted like it had been cooked twice, then sentenced to another cooking session inside the pastry. Everything was doughy, mushy, buttery, and sad. I took a few bites, stared into the distance, questioned my life choices, and eventually threw the damn thing away. And it's $10 now. Which I have absolutely no problem paying, IF THE BURRITO IS GOOD. The employees were very nice and kind, though. I don't know any of them and it seems like the whole crew is new, so this is absolutely not about them. But the only reason 8th & Roast remained on my personal breakfast map was that burrito. And now it's gone. RIP 8th & Roast breakfast burrito. 2017-2020. You were too good for this world.

I really appreciate the extensive range of coffee beans they offer, along with the variety of roasts and the way they source their beans from different suppliers across multiple countries. During my visit, I ordered a cappuccino made with a medium roast, while my husband went with a mocha. My cappuccino featured their Sunrise Espresso Blend, which combines beans from Brazil, Guatemala, and Costa Rica. The resulting flavor profile was wonderfully fruity and a little chocolatey (from the Brazil- Blend), with very low acidity, exactly what I prefer. It delivered the precise caffeine hit I was looking for and felt incredibly refreshing. My husband's mocha, however, was a bit of a letdown. It was overwhelmingly mocha-heavy to the point where there was barely any discernible coffee flavor, so it was not a hit for him. The baristas were polite, though the wait time felt a little longer than expected considering the cafe was not very busy at the time. Beyond that, the vibe inside is very chill, there is plenty of seating, and the free parking availability makes visiting super hassle-free.
