What a joke of a hospital. Try scheduling as a new patient for Voloshin on a Monday, only to have people within the appointment office AND his office LOSE MY FAXED MEDICAL RECORDS not once, but THREE TIMES.
If I was this bad at my job, I'd be fired. I can't imagine the doctor would have cared all that much, considering his staff did a piss poor job at making me feeling I was anything but a speck of dirt... so maybe I dodged a bullet.
Jodi from the appointment department is a complete joke. Tried to schedule an appointment, was told I needed to fax records over. Almost immediately after the phone call, I had my previous doctor's office fax records over, they confirmed it was through and accepted. No phone call back from Jodi, even though I was told I'd get one. Tuesday goes by, no call from Jodi, so I called myself to make sure the records were received since no one confirmed with me. Apparently, Jodi isn't there, and asks if I know what Jodi I talked to (apparently there's 2?!).
I talk to someone else who has me fax records again, which my previous doctor's office did again, and confirmed that they received again. Still no phone call back. This new person couldn't find me in the system because somehow Jodi accessed my old last name and input my old last name, even though I read that info, along with my insurance id to her directly from the insurance card... that last name has never existed on this insurance id, so I have no idea how they accessed that info, yet don't have my medical records from 2015.
I was told to fax it directly to Voloshin's office, and then call to make sure they received it. My previous doctor's office faxes AGAIN and confirms Voloshin's office has received it. I called, only to be met with a "mailbox full" for Megan, and was hung up on.
Now it's Thursday. I called again, and talked to Kerri.. Kerri is confused as to why I'm calling their office. I explain the situation, she still doesn't understand why my info is going to their office instead of appointments. I told her that my medical records have been faxed over three times now, and they have all been apparently lost.
Kerri tells me she "can try to find Jodi to see if she receives it," and when I asked her to call me back if she confirmed if Jodi does or doesn't have the medical records, she gave me attitude about how I should "just assume she doesn't have the records" if she doesn't call back.
Seems like losing medical records 3 times now could be a HIPAA issue, but maybe that's just me. I'm more upset that I thought I was going to be able to schedule an appointment with a nice place and what would hopefully be a doctor who could actually help me, and I was treated like absolute garbage.
NO THANK YOU. You should know that your staff is absolutely incapable of doing something that seems to be the key responsibility of their role, especially when their work day is committed to MAKING APPOINTMENTS and accepting medical information from other offices. read more
