The doctor I see is very thorough in explaining the procedure and length of the treatments and very courteous and professional. I would definitely recommend anyone who hasn't tried acupuncture for pain to try it. I have done physical therapy, pain meds and other treatments. But, acupuncture for me is the ultimate go to treatment in the end.

I was severe pain (felt like a vice was cramping my neck). I walked into this clinic with an "open" sign on and the door unlocked on a Friday morning. There was a man siting at the front desk with sun glasses on and shorts on the computer. My initial impression was he was angry had interrupted him. BUT went on to mentioned that I was desperate to find a chiropractor to adjust my neck and my history. HIs reply was that he was not interested in helping me as it was Friday and if he "did something wrong" he was off on weekends.....he did point out a building about a block away and told me to go there. I did. In pain wasting another 20 minutes or so trying to find the chiropractor he suggested. There was no chiropractor in that building according to numerous people I asked for assistance. I cannot say whether or not this guy is any good at what he does, but I can tell you, with that demeanor I am glad he refused to work on me. Nothing ethical about this guy.

Visits were time consuming and 2 - 3 times a week for months and little to no relief. Along comes Dr Cotter- I was desperate. I had pain all over my body that was leaving me sleepless, hopeless and depressed. I had so much pain in my right knee that I was unable to go up stairs. I gave in and made an appointment. Dr Cotter spent a full hour asking me questions, observing my movements and getting to know me. At the end he said he was not intimidated with any of my issues and felt he could help me however it would be up to ME to help myself. I was maybe a little rude and asked him to tell me how much, for how long, and what % discounted if I paid it up front. His response: "I will have a beer with you once a week, but I don't want you to come here weekly. My goal is to get you better and work myself out of a job. I'm going to give you exercises and if you do them, you will get better!" He had no long treatment plan, no expensive plans. Just exercises to do at home. I did them religiously and within 6 weeks, I was not only going up stairs but I was jogging! I actually signed up and completed 2 5ks! I never thought I would be able to run again! He is inspirational, listens to your concerns and he connects with his patients. He gets excited for you when you make progress and he genuinely cares about his patients' health and not his bank account. His approach is not just cracking you, but getting you moving and his technique is a mixture of Physical Therapy and Chiropractics. If you are in pain- don't wait! She has a non-force style that is gentle but incredibly effective. Because of her style, the adjustments are actually deeper and seem to stick. She uses some other techniques to help aid the adjustments. I went two days in a row because my visit was ending. The second day I could literally feel my body releasing at very gentle pressure. Two days later I feel great and I can visually see the difference in my posture. Literally I have felt traumatized by some of the chiro I've gotten. I wish this style was more widely taught. I suffered for over six months and no one could adjust me. Dr. Stephanie immediately saw the problem and fixed it!!
