Have you been to this spot in Virginia Beach where you can enjoy both ramen and sushi?…read more It was raining pretty heavily on the day I visited, but the staff was so kind and told us that we could take our time before heading out. That small gesture made us feel really welcomed! I didn't try the sushi this time, but I ordered the ramen and takoyaki. The takoyaki was unfortunately a little cold, but it was still tasty. The ramen came in a generous portion and was really satisfying! This was completely my own money, and I always like sharing my honest experience. If I'm in the area again, I'd definitely consider coming back!

I ordered the spicy umami miso ramen with tofu, karaage, and a soft-boiled egg, and it was absolutely delicious--rich, comforting, and full of flavor. I'll admit I went a little overboard with the add-ons, but I was just too excited and couldn't resist. It's a hidden gem tucked into a shopping center and easy to miss from the main road, but there's plenty of parking and once you're inside it's much more spacious than it looks. The staff were friendly, service was quick, and everything came out fresh. Prices were very reasonable too, especially for the portion sizes and quality. There's also a wide menu beyond ramen, so I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more. Before leaving, I grabbed a brown sugar boba milk tea too. I was already full, so I saved it for later--but even then, it was still really good. Overall, a great first experience--I'll definitely be returning!

My Husband's Food Review : Beef Mongolian Noodles -- 4/5…read more The noodles are freshly made with every order, and you can literally watch the man through the glass forming them by hand from the dough. The noodles were tender with a nice, bouncy texture. The sauce had a good balance of salty and sweet, and the beef was tender and flavorful. Jalapeño Chicken Noodles -- 5/5 The jalapeño peppers added a great crunch and paired really well with the texture of the noodles. The chicken was tender, and the sauce was light enough to let all the flavors come through. Definitely a favorite! Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings -- 5/5 The wings were cooked to perfection--crispy, crunchy, and well coated with seasoning. The crispiness paired really well with the overall dish, and every bite had great flavor. Beef Pancakes -- 2/5 This was basically like a hand-held burger stuffed inside crispy dough. The onions added a nice flavor to the beef, and the chili oil on the table paired really well with it. However, I think it would have been much better if the beef had been mixed with a sweet soy sauce for a little more flavor and balance.

Definitely come with friends and enjoy some good beers with order of gyoza and the amazing ramen selection. For my military folks in the area , they are quick with the orders so nice place to swing by during lunch and make it back before Chief yells at you. My biggest regret about transferring from area is that Misako has set such a high bar for me that no other ramen can match it however, If I am in the area I will be visiting with friends and enjoying that ramen! Bless you all.

Looking at my tekka sake don from before to now, the meat slices are much thinner. I really miss how it used to be. The Korean chirashi was the most disappointing. Last time, we had large pieces of fish meat in a yummy gochujang style sauce. It was all about the fish and the rice. This time they mixed the salad into the bowl. There was SIGNIFICANTLY much less meat. I know times are hard and many things are much more expensive today, but these are pretty disappointing changes. Service is still very wonderful and they are kind. The presentation of the rolls is very cute. The special Japanese tables are a great dining experience.
