A very nice meal. The food and service was excellent. Would return again.
This was my first time in Leblon, and after tirelessly searching for any interesting restaurants I found this one on Google Maps. There seems to be a large quantity of Brazilian, Italian, and seafood restaurant-with a peppering of Thai and Spanish-but not much else. So when I came upon this newly- opened Greek place I decided to try it.
Of course, it wasn't busy at all, however, there were 3 other full tables of patrons which probably found it by walking the street. It's tucked into a little corner, but it should get more business in the future because it's next to a popular ice cream place.
I ordered a glass of red wine and a beef gyro plate. It came with shoestring fries and had tzatziki, tomatoes, onions, and green leaf lettuce inside (as well as top choice beef). The gyro was yummy! I ate it with a fork and knife because it's uncommon to eat with your hands here (sanitary reasons). The fries gave me a little hassle (have you tried to eat fries the size of fork tines with a fork?!).
The service was great; very attentive server who even found a menu in English and asked me (via Google Translate) if I was here for carnival. He was very sweet and even gave me suggestions on places to go.
All in all, for a brand new place they are starting out right! Good luck! read more
