A friend had mentioned several times that I should stop in, which I did today. I found an evening wear wrap, a scarf, and an Emma Street floor length formal dress with matching lace jacket. E.S is not a high end label, but the dress probably cost $150-$200 new, and I got it for $39. It is in excellent condition. Chris, who appeared to be the owner or at least the manager, was very nice, zipped me up so I could be sure the fit was good, and took great care in hanging and protecting it after my purchase. Yesterday, always saw this store while returning my work child home but I never stopped in until now. Instantly I was greeted by a very nice middle age woman. I really enjoy handbags and my eyes spotted this beautiful "Oryany" bag. The bag was in the glass show case and when ask the sales lady if she could open the case so I could view the bags she said "of course sure". They had so many nice designer bags to choose from. It was hard to decide but I walked out with a $110 "Oryany" that was well kept and well worth the money spent. Went home and googled the bag with inside serial number and there it was worth $250. What a deal... What a deal. They also had a Victoria Secret tote bag with fridge detail for my 17 year old daughter and needless to say, she loved it. Why pay full price for new with tags, when you can save money and get possibly designer and gently used. I will be visiting this store on a bi-weekly bases when I get paid to purchase more of everything I like, because I work hard and I'm well worth it. read more

Ok. so as a customer I loved this place. Their selection was quite nice. I felt like I was in buffalo exchange in Georgetown, but for the mature woman. We started a bit bumpy BUT the overall experience ended up being so delightful! The selection was really great. They really have stuff for all sizes. Literally y'all. Its packed in there! The only downfall is the pricing. Everything is about $10-$15 overpriced. Now I would pay that amount merely for the fact that I found this place and that means I don't have to spend all day shopping all around town. I enjoyed my time here and look forward to returning. I am a bit of a consignment and thrift junkie. I love the thrill of the hunt and having recently moved to Baltimore I am excited to find the good shops. I was referred to Vogue Revisited as an excellent place for designer and vintage. I understand this is consignment so the deals won't be as good but I was disappointed by the pricing. It was on the high side, especially as some of the pieces aren't in the best of shape. I think what truly drove this home was a beat to death bad (no good lining) Chanel knockoff purse, I will give them credit it was clearly marked as COPY, but it was also $38. For about $55 you can take Megabus to New York go to Chinatown get a knock off there that is new and better quality and some dumplings from Vanessa's not that I have done this mind you. They did have tons of clothes but no real deals. Maybe I just hit them on a bad day so I will try again but I am sure there is better out there. read more

The owner is a nasty woman who stands outside and yells at cars parked outside her store that aren't her customers even though the sign says anyone can park there for 20 minutes. I watched her call the DOT on multiple cars and threatened to call them on me. Can you tell she's upset no one buys her second hand trash? Had a bizarre experience when I took my Mother here. An employee put a large piece of cardboard up right in front of my Mother in the tiny walkway and when she asked if she could pass this young woman glared at her and said "Next time just go around." If there was a reason she was building her cardboard wall through a space I had walked through ONE second before (she was literally 2 feet behind me as I walked through), she could have explained, instead of being so weirdly mean. Needless to say there won't be a next time. I'm sad I had recommended this place to so many people who hadn't heard of it. read more

I had consigned with this store for several years when the previous owner was there. She was wonderful fair minded, friendly and business like. The last time I was in to consign I was treated in a very horrible manner by the new owner who was also training some new sales associates. Though I consider myself and experienced consigner I was told that my items were not suitable. That was ok but the manner and tone of the new owner was awful. My items got reviewed in a loud unfriendly manner in front of other customers. I think that maybe the staff is nicer when you are buying not consigning which is ridiculous because you need consigners. A few days ago I called to see if any items for spring and summer were being accepted. The person on the other end of the phone was so stiff and unprofessional. I was informed about what was being accepted in a tone that suggested I was calling Buckingham Palace. I will always remember Chris and how friendly she was when she started this business but the new staff needs some lessons in customer service. read more

Before yesterday, I would have given 3 or 4 stars. They have a big selection and much (but not all) of the stock is in pretty good shape. Shoes are probably the weak spot here. The prices are kind of high, but the markdowns can help considerably. I've gotten some good deals, mostly on work clothes. I wanted to consign and was told that you have to have 10 items to start an account. OK, I can handle that, although I've never heard of that requirement before. I brought in maybe 12 items of clothing and they told me they'd take 4 of them, plus a pair of shoes, so I should come back in when I have more stuff. I was surprised that they passed on some basically brand-new items and wasn't sure what to do next. I ended up going through my closet and finding some great stuff I wasn't wearing anymore (ex: Marc Jacobs skirt, Emma Hope shoes, J Crew jeans). I went in yesterday with the things they told me to bring back, plus 7-8 different items. They told me the shoes were "too heavy" to take, even though two weeks ago I was told they'd take them. They decided to "pass" on some of the other things, so I still didn't meet the 10 item requirement. Considering how much grandma-level clothing is on the racks (I don't mean that insultingly, I wear some hand-me-downs from my grandma), I couldn't believe that so much my stuff was a "pass". The older woman behind the counter was pretty rude to me as I left. I understand that as a consignment store, it's their prerogative to have rules about consigning, and ultimately their decision as to what items to accept. I did not have a good experience with them, though. At this point, I'll give away my stuff on freecycle and go to Wise Penny and Value Village for new work clothes. read more

I am new to consignment and the woman at Vogue Revisited was so helpful! It is strange to have someone go through your stuff, but she was really professional and kind. She explained why she couldn't accept some things, was clear about the process. While she went through the items I brought to consign, I was able to look around and the shop was full of really nice stuff! I've been to consignment shops with strange smells and sad looking stuff, but this place was well-stocked with a wide range of clean, nice items. My favorite finds of today were some North Face pants, Under Armor sports bras, some cute tops, and a Dooney Burke wallet. I will definitely be back to consign & buy! read more

This is my favorite place to shop for clothes! I've been shopping here for years and my wardrobe is full of stuff from here. I recently bought a very chic Charles Nolan suit for $40. Amazing selection of items. Come here with lots of time on your hands though so you have time to sift through it all. One recommendation I will make is that they seem to take a lot of items for consignment and some items (particularly the shoes) are just not in the best of shape and look a little worn. Overall though, very great place and you can find some gems if you are willing to really search for them! As for CR's review about attitudes at this shop, due to the layout of this store and the abundance of merchandise I can definitely see why they would be vigilant about shoplifters. I do a lot of selling of clothes here and get some nice surprise checks in the mail because of it. Its pretty small and stuffed, but good deals can be found if you look. I think the staff is friendly and helpful, but then again I am not a shop lifter. The owner has a pit bull that she keeps in the shop at time, who I love. Took some new, never worn, and gently worn clothing : Chicos, Anne Taylor, Talbots and others to consign. All were current styles from last year. Called ahead for appointment, but was told I did not need an appointment. Staff, including manager, were unfriendly and refused all my 15 items. When I looked around, I saw many non-current styles, some wrinkled items, lots were overpriced for consignment The place was very packed with clothing-- hard to move around. First off, the picture used here is not at all what this store looks like. It's crowded, haphazard, and disorganized. As I walked in I saw a sign on the door that said "Please leave your cell phone conversations outside" and I thought great, who likes to hear someone else's conversation. I walked in looking for a specific clutch that was posted on their Facebook page and didn't see it. I was waiting to ask the woman working in the store where it might be but she continued to carry on her phone conversation gossiping about the amount of alimony support her friend was now getting. I just stood there, waiting for her to be done, laughing at the irony of the sign on the door. Another employee then walked out and checked the lock on the case that I was looking into filled with sunglasses and handbags and walked away. I was honestly appalled. One person couldn't stop their phone conversation and the other clearly thought I was just there to steal and also wouldn't help me. I came in fully ready to purchase the clutch and possibly some other items but I refuse to give people that rude any business. read more

Can be bit pricey for second hand clothing depending on the brand, but the store is well organized so it's easy to flip through all the available clothes in your size to see if there's anything in worth trying on. Always good quality items. They also seem to have a lot of options for larger sizes than I'm used to seeing in consignment shops, from about 0/XS to sizes in the low 20's. Tiny dressing rooms and the hours aren't great for working people, but it's definitely one of my favorites in the area. read more

I had by far the worst consignment experience yet. I buy tons of clothes every season and when that season is done I donate and consign. I travel far and wide to get a fair price for my threads. I called Vogue Revisited almost two weeks prior to me visiting. I was told they would take fall items on Sept. 1. On Sept. 1 @ 3:30, I traveled from my home in Ellicott City to recieve a very unwelcoming experience. There was an older white woman (dusty blonde shoulder length hair with a teal blue shirt) in her 70's who greeted me at the door. I had 15 laundered items and 3 high end shoe boxes in my hand while struggling to get thru the mess in the door way. She asks, do you have questions. Questions?? People who have questions don't have items (don't you think). I replied, "no!" I called days ago and was told to come on Sept. 1. She the asked if I had an account (what difference does that make)? I said no...She says we are not taking items at this time. I must not have fit her "description"..... I will never return and I don't suggest anyone to either!!! read more

I shop here a lot because I can find good clothing at reasonable prices, and that's enough of a reason for me. I do wish some things were done differently at this store. The managers are frequently calling loud orders to the sales help- can you do this? can you put that away? etc. It kind of stresses me out. It's hard to explain really, but there is kind of a weird vibe from the managers. They won't let you walk 4 feet away to a mirror to look at a pair of earrings, instead wanting you to look at a little mirror right on the counter. It just seems weird to me that they think they have to worry about it so much, when I shop in there all the time and should know me well enough to know that I don't steal things. Basically, I guess there is a snobby element, because they are very friendly to certain customers who I'm guessing have a lot of money. They are kind of friendly to me, but there is a difference. Also, I really wish they would add more hooks to the dressing rooms. When I go in there with 8 things to try on, plus my coat and purse, I have to hang all of those things on the one hook. Then I take my clothes off, and the only place left to put the clothes I take off is on the floor. There is no chair or anything, and all of those things are certainly not fitting on that one hook. I hate having to put the clothes I'm wearing on the dirty floor, it actually really bothers me. Why not just hang up a few more hooks, it is a dressing room after all? It's these little things that just make me feel like the managers are not thinking as much as they should about the shopping experience of their customer. But, I have found several items of clothing I like at reasonable prices, so I will keep going back. read more
