Ok, so when I saw this place I was pretty excited because I thought it might be a vodka bar.. or at least a wine bar.. Haha.. should have known better.
I had dinner here with a few friends. After we were seated the waitress asked us what we would like to drink.. so we asked for the wine list. She then stared at us blankly.. pointed to the bar, and said all of our wines are over there. Dumbfounded we turned toward the bar where there was a shelf with what appeared to be about 7 or so bottles of wine on it that all looked exactly the same. We were all speechless we looked at the waitress again. She stared blankly at us for a few more moments.. She then proceeded with" red or white?", and when we said white she said we have Riesling, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Um.. ok.. "Vodka and Wines" we won't even ask...
Also we made the wrong assumption that being a "vodka bar" they might have a cocktail list. Nope again. In actuality they do have some vodka, but only about 7 or so bottles that we also saw lined up behind the bar. So they do in fact have much more selection of vodka than any typical bar you would find in Holland. But not so much that I would expect the term "vodka" to be in the name of the restaurant. They did have one drink menu.. it was for beer.. huh.
Anyways, we ordered from their menu of tapas.. at this point not expecting much. Over the course of the evening my friend and I tried each of the 3 wine wines. 2 of the we didn't like and the third and we found ok. I can't remember if it was the Sauvignon or the Chardonnay. At any rate.. in case you haven't picked up on the theme of my review... DON'T go here for the Wine!
The tapas came and we pleasantly surprised that most of them were actually delicious. Hmm maybe they are redeeming themselves. ..? Nope. When the second round of tapas came ,a few of the were actually quite disgusting,.. so there you have it. read more
