Very happy with these guys!…read more This company provides a VPN service (Virtual Private Network) to hide your IP and your personal information while on the internet. I'd rather not have my info out floating around to who knows where so I signed up on a trial, and now use them for every internet connected computer in my company. I've had a few small issues with their service, as any VPN will have - it's the nature of the beast, especially here in Los Angeles, CA. one of the most "connected" cities in the world, but all have been dealt with fast and efficient. Their service is A+ bar none! I had a little issue with Outlook Express not being able to send or receive emails from my home computer - my ISP isn't very happy that I'm using a VPN, but it was worked out in a matter of a few emails. My email was responded to right away, with an answer to my question, not just the standard run around, I tried what they said might work and wha-la! I was up and running. And I received another email the next day just making sure that everything was still running A.O.K. and that I was happy and had no other issues. Now that's what customer service is! Thank you SO much! Here in Los Angeles we are very used to dealing with morons that have no idea what they are doing, just give you the run around until you give up, but of course charge you lots of money for their service. Is it really different in the U.K.? If so, I'm packing my bags! Between that and I have a big soft spot for British women with a posh accent... oh, my life could finally be complete! :) But "Hide My Ass", www.hidemyass.com is the best as far as I'm concerned. And their service is bar none - great people to work with! Thanks again! Michael G.

I'm shocked to look back and find I gave Virgin Media anything other than a single one-star rating…read moreconsidering how terrible and unreliable they are from their customer service to broadband and television reliability, after such a struggle I'm so glad to be seeing the back of them. The fact of the matter is, they might be the only TV provider to integrate with Amazon Prime Video, they might offer free BT Sport and have the best speeds in most of the UK areas - but is it really worth it considering how expensive they are and unreliable, and the fact when a problem does happen (it happens a lot) they don't seem to care at all? No way. Horrible company - I had to spend over two hours on hold just to cancel my services. They always spent multiple weeks just to respond to my complaint. The Indian based call centre was ridiculous and the staff had no technical knowledge. The most bizarre situation was the fact I needed an engineer due to a totally unrelated issue which couldn't be arranged after multiple time waiting on hold - because of a fault in my area which had nothing to do with why I needed an engineer as it would automatically cancel. My services seemed to go down all the time - when it worked it was great but it was a typical case of "when it worked", most outages might have only lasted a few minutes but still this could mean losing what one is doing online and so much inconvenience and do Virgin Media care? No. I'm really glad to see the back of them - they might have the best speeds in my local area by over 100 mb/s more but it just isn't worth dealing with a company with awful reliability and customer service.

They said it was fixed but a year later I found a £14 default on my credit rating. Although acknowledging their mistake, they say it is now O2's problem and they have not fixed it.

I have had to work with this company as my home internet provider for near three years. There are…read moretwo times during which I have been sorely disappointed with them: the connection set-up experience and the cancellation experience. It is very difficult to get someone on the phone, it is nearly impossible to get someone to come to my home and react to the situation they find there. I need a engineer to come out to help connect the internet, and another to come out for the phone. It took several calls and hours of waiting on hold. Finally after nearly three weeks of struggle, both worked. When it came time to move back to the states, it was impossible to find out how to cancel on the web site. Direct communication with this company is deliberately made to be nearly impossible. Finally I found a phone number to call and waited twenty minutes to talk to a person. Then I find that they require 30 days notice, and I have to pay a penalty for giving them 10 days notice. WTF? It costs them extra to shut off the line less than 30 days in advance? Remember, I had cleared more than two years and ten months since my contract began. What a racket! I am very glad I will not be dealing with them ever again. I can say I had fast internet service (~107 mbps) that usually worked. I say usually because early in the morning it would drop out for a few minutes. No point in complaining to them because it is nearly impossible to actually do so. If I could complain to them directly, I would, but since they make that impossible, I am stuck whining to Yelp.
