It's so hard to find someone who does appliance installation, let alone with professional quality at an affordable price (some giving estimates that we're almost equal to the cost of my oven!). I had him come out to install my replacement wall oven. Peter was quick to respond to my Yelp messages and we were able to setup an appointment immediately. He called me morning of to confirm our appointment window. Unfortunately there was some delay on his end and came a little later than our appointment window, but it's understandable in hindsight as he is a 2-man crew and had to journey from OC to West LA. However once he got here, he got straight to work. Peter is extremely professional and goes the extra mile. My old oven had a cutout significantly larger than what was needed for my new one. The electrical wiring was a mess. Not only did Peter custom fit the opening to fit my new oven, he redid the wiring so it was neater and safer. I had a great experience with VN Appliance Installer. I bought an over-the-range microwave from Costco, but their installers couldn't install it because of some contractual loopholes. I called around for some quotes, and VN was the only place that gave me a straight answer. As the saying goes if you don't have anything nice to say it's best you saying nothing. However, this is business and as a business woman it's only fair to hold each other accountable. I was in need of having an over the range microwave installed. I was happy to read all the great reviews on Yelp about VN. I reached out by providing my specs, and photos of the work area. I received a reply immediately and was already impressed. However, the first red flag that I ignored was they quickly quoted $150 only to ask the model of my microwave and pictures (which I initially sent) and was told the price was now $200. Though I was weary I was stuck on the positive reviews. After a few emails we locked down a date and time; and they were flexible when I had to move my appointment around. I was told I'd get a call confirming my appointment time the day before; and sure enough I did. This alone was the reason I felt VN deserved the one star. My appt was scheduled for Fri, 12/20/19 (today). Peter called confirming my appointment from 1pm to 7pm; to which I expressed it was too long of a window. He then retracted and said "it would more likely be from 1pm to 4pm but closer to 1pm." WTH?? The weary feelings returned indicating Red flag #2 where he was reluctant in providing a definitive time; as if he knew he was going to pull a no-show...which he did. Here's the run down of my experience with VN: 1. Appt time was between 1pm and 4pm. 2. 1:27pm received a call from Peter stating he was tied up in another job and offered to reschedule for another day OR stop by between 4pm and 7pm. I chose the latter. I then received a call from "Ana" advising of the change as well and even received an e-mail. Again, I confirmed 4pm-7pm. 3. 6:17pm I receive a call from Ana stating Peter is still at his other job site and either needs to reschedule or perhaps "come later"---Red flag #3. Come even later?? WTF?! In what universe would anyone agree to have a complete stranger work past 9pm in their home? Not me! I expressed my disappointment, declined, and further advised Ana this disregard of a persons time only to be strung along throughout the day was highly unprofessional and flat out disrespectful. "VN" did not take into account that I sat around for 6 hours on a day that I specifically requested OFF from work. Ana offered a "discount" but what VN really should have offered is to pay the PTO time I lost due to their ignorance. Transparency and honesty goes along way with me and very disappointed that VN not only wasted my time; but could not man up and just say they overcommitted themselves to other projects. I felt strung along throughout the day knowing they weren't going to deliver. Complete garbage. Lastly, I work in the commercial real estate industry and I am always on the lookout for reputable, professional, trades. The inner circle is a legitimate resource and yet in the spirit of keeping my professional and personal lives separate I turned to Yelp to help me with this small project and believed these reviews for VN as a trusted resource. Well shame on me. I would not recommend using VN based on my own experience and hope they learn from their rookie mistakes. read more

Costco dropped off our new fridge and we had a builtin fridge and they couldn't take out the old builtin because of all the work it would require. We wanted the new refrigerator really bad and found Vn Appliance. They were very responsive after contacting them and scheduled to come within 2 days. After removing the builtin they found two problems - a bad valve and the space wasn't big enough for the new fridge. They were able to fix both on the spot for a very reasonable price! Peter installed a microwave hood for us and everything from the initial phone call to the installation was EXCELLENT and we are very happy. We'll be using them again for the next kitchen work (faucet, sink) First off: The lady on the phone was super on top of her stuff and very nice, she knew exactly how much the job would cost and knew the openings off the top of her head. The phone call took less than a minute to get everything scheduled up. The install: Peter showed up on time and with everything he needed. As he was removing the old hood, he noticed a bunch of problems with our old venting. He fixed up the venting and got the microwave hood installed in about an hour. He had padding, covers, and a shopvac to keep everything clean and even washed the surrounding area a little after he was done. Post install: After Peter got done, he noticed a few things that we might want to take care of and he started suggesting some pretty awesome DIY options and some things to avoid. Small things like backsplash options on amazon that I can do myself and how to make the gap look good on my own. All quality ideas with very low cost, I really appreciated the advice and the time he took explaining. Was a cool touch. We used them today to install our range hood. Overall, they did a great job with the actual installation. My biggest complaint is that we had space on our tile floor for them to pull out the range hood and they didn't need to walk on our white carpet to get to the kitchen for the installation (the carpeted area is off to the side). However, they chose to pull out the new range hood on our white carpet and walked all over it unnecessarily without any warning. By the time I saw the 2nd person doing it (I was with the first person taking down the original appliance), the damage was already done. If they needed the space, it would have been nice and more courteous for them to ask us or mention it so we could put a mat or sheet down. Now we are left with a whole stained/dirty area and will need to pay more to get it cleaned. Update- I'm changing my review to 5 stars because of the great response I got from them regarding my review. After I posted my original review (see above), they reached out to us and offered to pay for the carpet cleaning. They arranged everything and the carpet cleaners came today! Quick replacement and reasonable price! My over the range microwave went out after 22 years of use. I was able to remove it with the idea that I would install the replacement myself. However the microwave I took out weighed a lot so I reconsidered replacing it myself. I requested a quote on Yelp to see if I could get a quick answer. It was 9:30 on a Saturday night and I got a response in like 5 minutes. I was able to get the microwave installed on Monday morning. Peter was the installer and he was very professional and efficient. He installed the new microwave in about an hour and a half. They called all day and said they were on their way. but they dont protect anything. 2nd, they didnt bring anything to cover or protect my countertops or floors. They scratched my quartz countertops, they left sawdust everywhere. Lastly, the owner removed two kitchen cabinets to install disheasher and chipped my brand new cabinets. They left my home a complete mess. I also noticed a ding on my brand new fridge. They will get the job done but damage your things in the process. I hired VN to come out install our cook top, garbage disposal, faucet, and island range hood. Peter came out and did a great job. The toughest part was the range hood. He basically had to build the frame from scratch, make cuts in the ceiling to relocate the duct, and cut the hood body down to size. It looks great! The dishwasher installer for a big box store was unable to install a panel on my panel ready Bosch dishwasher and they also did not properly install the dishwasher itself. I called Vn Appliance installer. Peter came out and installed the the dishwasher properly and also installed the panel to the dishwasher door. I also needed an air gap put on my garbage disposal so he took care of that for me also. I was happy to know that he also installs kitchen faucets, so I will be calling back for that in the near future. I strongly recommend this company.
