I met Dr. Polyakov in 2022. I arrived to his office with a massive infection in an old implant. Dr. Polyakov did an amazing job removing the implant, cleaning the area, performing a bone graft, and placing 2 new implants. I couldn't be more grateful, he takes the time to explain what he's going to do and to listen your concerns. Also, he calls his patients after each procedure to check on them and adjusting the medication, if needed. This week I had 2 wisdom teeth extracted and my recovery has been smooth with almost no swelling. Again Dr. Polyakov exceeded all expectations! His staff is also amazing, friendly and accommodating. I was recommended to Dr. V by my regular dentist as I had an excruciating pain in one of my wisdom tooth that was just coming out, since I been putting off taking the teeth out, so I figured I might as well kill 2 birds wt one stone, in this case 4 teeth one doctor. This was two years ago So I guess this review is long over due. I went in for my consultation this was when they were in the other office, pretty basic. They take some xray, you see Dr. V he tells you what he thinks is the best option for you. Personally I fear any dentist office so I asked a lot of questions, and he was more than helpful. At the time he also discovered I had 3 extra tooth in my lower jaw. I asked him what he thought was the best option he said it was a 50/50 chance if it didn't hurt I could leave them alone but ultimately my decision. So I said Doc just get this 4 wisdom tooth out for now! I went through the procedure, was swollen for a week some pain, and that's it. You're back like new. Fast forward to now, I decided I wanted to get braces (at my old age, you figure) but in order for the braces to work I needed to removed those extra teeth. I was nervous, bc it was nothing like removing wisdom teeth. Nevertheless I knew the only Doc I would feel at ease to do the surgery would be Dr. V. But for my own peace of mind I did seek a second opinion (less expensive) honestly it was a waist of my time. The doctor basically said he did not feel confident enough to do the surgery, as he was concerned he would damaged my nerves. In the other hand Dr. V was very confident that the surgery would turn out fine. I was explained every possibly outcome, so I was prepared for the worst. Nunbnes, and the possibility of my nerve been damaged. I guess the fact that his well experience on this kind of procedures I felt comfortable the worst case scenario would not happen. Went through the procedure, he extracted them in 45 mins, it was less painful than getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. I Started my invisaling and I am a very happy with all the work his done for me this past 2 years. Can't thank him enough, for such an amazing job. And all the staff they are very helpful & friendly. Sadly and hopefully I won't need any more work done, but Ultimately I would recommend Dr. V to all my family & friends. Had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Polyakov recently and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I had been putting it off for as long as possible, but after waking up in extreme pain, I figured I'd have to get them removed. I called the office on a Monday at noon and got in for a consultation an hour later. The removal was quick and relatively painless. It was my first time going under anesthesia (I was stressing) but it ended up being a smooth experience. The staff are all great, very friendly and accommodating. They made the entire process so easy... I'm forever grateful! Great office, very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Parking was really the only issue. I must say I was terrified having my wisdoms teeth removed. In general the word "dentist" makes me shiver, I have never had cavity or anything else than a cleaning done to my teeth so when I was informed that 2 of my 4 wisdoms teeth were impacted and I needed them removed asap I got really scared... I found Dr. Polyakov online and made an appointment with him because of the great reviews. The staff scheduled me that same day and what a great experience it was walking into their office. I was greeted with a welcoming smile from the 2 girls at the front desk. My whole consultation with Dr. Polyakov was positive and professional. I was able to schedule my surgery that same week, the staff and Dr. Polyakov assured me I was in good hands and they would make this experience as comfortable and quick as possible. I decided to have all 4 wisdoms teeth removed. Two days later I went back for my surgery, once again terrified and tense, expecting the worse but the wonderful nurse helped me relax. All I remeber was the iv in my arm, next thing I woke up with my mouth full of gaze and a nice "high" feeling :-) It was such a pleasent experience, I was worried over nothing. My full recovery took about 2 weeks, minor discomfort and pain that was easilly taken care of with advil. I was up and about and on with my daily tasks after 3 days:-) I do think they are expensive compared to other oral surgeons but then again, knowing you receive the best and most professional treatment and care it's worth the extra money :-) I highly recommend Dr. Vladimir Polyakov. I must echo the other recommendations for Dr. Polyakov. He recently removed my wisdom teeth and I have been nothing but impressed with the level of care provided by him and his staff, especially after hearing many horror stories from friends who have had their wisdom teeth done elsewhere. I had very little pain, no bruising (a real achievement because I am prone to bruising but I didn't even bruise at the site of the iv), and minimal swelling. I opted for general anesthesia and it was a breeze. The procedure took very little time and I was fine with Tylenol 3s. It was a great plus for me that they are upfront about costs and offer care credit, since I am uninsured. Overall the process could not have been better and I would recommend this office to anyone. read more

This review is much overdue! The doctor is really friendly and personable despite him being a bRuin (and yes I wore something USC related every time I visited haha). The nurses are great and they are willing to work with you with your fears/pricing. Trust me, I thought I was gonna pass out before I even entered the operating room, and it wasn't bad at all. I woke up super loopy and to an email on my phone for an e-gift card from this office for frozen yogurt!! So sweet (literally). I came one more time to get my last tooth out, and not only were they super flexible on pricing since I had hit my insurance maximum, but it literally took 2 minutes and although I was terrified of being under local anesthesia and awake for the thing, it was so quick and painless. I had my wisdom teeth taking out here. Stuff here are nice and friendly, I am not having any issues with healing process, so I am assuming Dr did a good job. BUT. They ripped me off with charging unnecessary additional 15 min of anesthesia, and even though I had surgery May 24th, I am still fighting to get money back! They already admitted they over charged me, but no money back yet!!! And even though they admitted they over charged me, they are still coming up with excuse and telling me they don't give me a full refund. Also, when I went in for a consultation, they schedule me for Monday, May 24th, which was a week away from Vegas trip I've been looking forward to all year long. So I told them I've been looking forward to this trip and don't want to ruin it with pain, and asked them if I should schedule it for after the trip. They told me I will feel normal after 3 days, so no worry, I can even do it on wednesday and I will feel fine by the trip. So I trusted them and did it on Monday. BIG MISTAKE!!! My bottom wisdom teeth was "impacted" and those 2 hurts so bad even after the surgery. I ended up in pain during the whole Vegas trip, took so much fun out of the trip. I mean, I couldn't even eat or drink normal at all. I think they just want it done and get my money. It shows how much they are concern about THEM and not A PATIENT they are supposed to care for! Let me first start by saying that, like everyone else who's posted here, I was absolutely terrified of having my wisdom teeth out. Legit scared. Definitely over-thought it and freaked myself out. I'd never been put under before, nor had I ever been cut open... But I have to say, it was painless. Literally. And I know I'm kinda alone on this one. The operation itself took about 40 minutes, I was asleep and woke up before I even knew it, groggy, and in very slight pain. But my recovery was quick and I barley had any pain afterwards. I don't know if this is because I'm awesome or because he's awesome, but I was totally fine. The reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because of price. It was a bit pricey, $1555 total to remove 3 wisdom teeth...they had told me it ranges from $100-$500 per tooth, and none of mine were impacted so I don't know exactly why I was charged the max price per tooth...but it was top-of-the-line service I have to say. Everyone who worked there was so super nice, very caring and helpful. And the doctor is a good dude...still can't pronounce his name, but he knows his stuff and is a pro. My primary dentist, Dr. Cam Do, referred me to Dr. Polyakov to have my wisdom teeth extraction, and I am so glad she did! I came in for a consultation the other day, and had my actual procedure done yesterday morning. I have experienced no pain at all, and I am actually surprised at how painless and easy the recovery process has been. Dr. Polyakov and his staff are all very kind, informative, friendly, and professional. I literally had no questions to ask throughout the whole consultation and pre-operation because all their explanations had it all covered! During the consultation, Gina talked me through all the Do's and Don'ts and made everything very clear. Rebecca was also very kind and helpful with the scheduling process. During the day of my procedure, Priscilla and another kind blonde staff member (I wish I remembered her name!) made sure I was comfortable and set up the room quickly and efficiently for my procedure. I experienced no discomfort, did not even notice I fell asleep, and within what seemed like a few minutes, Priscilla told me it was all done! Before I left, they had me sit in a comfortable recliner with a soft fleece blanket while I iced my cheeks. They also gave me a goody bag of water, oatmeal, and other things to help me with the recovery process. The goody bag also included a list of post-op instructions, reminding me of what I should avoid and what I should do. I also found it very helpful that they included a guide with a picture of a clock, advising me when to take my Amoxicillin, Vicodin, and Advil around the clock. I also appreciated the convenience of being able to purchase my medication at the actual clinic. Today, I am healing normally, my swelling is very minimal, and I had received a call from Dr. Polyakov checking up on me even though he is out of town at a conference. My overall experience was wonderful, which is weird to say about getting your teeth extracted, but Dr. Polyakov and his staff made it possible. Preface: I have the most intense fear of dentists and going under for surgery. After my wisdom teeth started bugging me and causing crazy pain, I knew it was time to call my dentist and get a referral for an oral surgeon. She recommended Dr. Polyakov and I made my first appointment. The office is gorgeous in Beverly Hills and the girls are so welcoming when you first walk in. They eased my nerves by talking me through it and basically told me it was "no big deal." They praised the doctor and really made me feel at home. Then, I met Dr. Polyakov - also so nice! He took a look at my mouth and explained everything to me and why my wisdom teeth needed to come out. He told me to "Come in with a positive attitude and everything would go smoothly" .....and that it did! I was overly cautious and a little nervous, but the surgery went great! I have a history of bad dentist and was very scared but he eased me down from my fear and explained the whole process. That same week i had my wisdom teeth extracted and had minimal swelling and hardly any pain. He called me later in the evening to see how i was doing and told me i could call him if i had any concerns or questions. His staff was very nice and polite. I've been avoiding wisdom surgery for years but when I finally HAD to get it done because the pain was too intense, I'm glad I found Dr. Polyakov's office. The staff was incredibly friendly and gentle with an admittedly freaked-out patient (me). The doc was courteous without trying to tell you jokes or stories. He got the job done and fast. I went in, had the operation done, and was out in no time at all. Furthermore, the operation was executed perfectly leaving me with very minimal pain after the surgery. When I returned for a follow-up, which was the second time I'd entered the office, the staff greeted me by name and made me feel right at home. I'm originally from North Carolina where this kind of courtesy and hospitality is common, but not so much in LA. Just returned from my follow up appt. I had an infection in my mouth on a tooth that had a root canal done several years ago. Dr Polykov once again exceeded all expectations, I got the tooth extracted and an implant put in all in ONE DAY. I chose to not go under, as I was driving myself. Normally when using local anesthetic at a dentist office it can be pretty painful when getting shot before going numb, but this office on the other hand uses the latest technology and they have a machine that does this and you can't feel a thing! And you go totally numb. Amazing. Tooth came out, then bone graph and implant done. Waited a couple hours ( while I had lunch and went shopping ) for the lab to make my temporary tooth and then a couple mins to put it in. The best part of it is I feel and felt NO PAIN had no swelling and basically did not have to interrupt my daily life at all. When it comes to any dental surgery this place is the only place I will go! It can't get any better. I'm so grateful to dr Polykov and his wonderful staff, checking in with me constantly and working hard to accommodate any and all my needs. I was deathly afraid of getting my 3 remaining wisdom teeth YANKED from my mouth. You would be too if you were me! I had an awful experience when I was 16 getting my wisdom tooth extracted... albeit, I was awake and heard the cracking and slurping... Anyways... Dr. Polyakov is a GEM and a true shining example of why I trust Yelp. I called his office on Monday, got a consultation on Tuesday, had my wisdom teeth taken out on Thursday and was hiking Runyon Canyon by Saturday. I am endlessly grateful to have found Dr. Polyakov here on Yelp and thought it only fair to write a glowing review of my own! I had a wisdom tooth extracted by Dr. Polyakov less than a week ago and could not be happier with the service I received at his office. From the receptionist to the office staff to the doctor himself, every person I encountered was unbelievably warm, welcoming, sympathetic, and helpful. This is also a great office to go to for any Bruins out there seeing as I received a ton of enthusiasm regarding my status as a UCLA student from the office staff and the doctor himself (a proud Bruin through and through!). The day of the surgery went extraordinarily smoothly. After my surgery I got to sit and wake up a bit before being wheeled down to my car to be picked up by my friend who had graciously accompanied me for the big day. My friend was given very clear instructions on how to take care of me, as well as a packet of information that I would be able to read once I was recovered enough to actually read. I, honest to God, had ZERO swelling. I spent the day of the surgery in bed, but was up and about the next day - went to class and everything. Everybody who knew I was having surgery was shocked to see how quickly I'd recovered. I stopped taking my pain medication on the second day and switched to Advil - still no pain at all. If it weren't for the hole where my tooth used to be, I wouldn't even know I had surgery just days ago. Let me start off by saying that I've had TRAUMATIC experiences with Dentists and had been very reluctant ever since. An infection forced me to seek medical attention. I called requesting an emergency appointment and Dr. Polyakov's staff scheduled me within the hour. I had a panoramic x-ray taken and Dr. Polyakov evaluated my situation with great care and detail. DON'T EVEN THINK about going somewhere else to get your wizzies pulled!! Dr. Polyakov and his team are absolutely INCREDIBLE!! I'm beyond impressed by the whole experience, and very very thankful. I've had the worst possible experience with my other lower wisdom tooth removal a few years back. I was tortured for over an hour and my cheek stayed swollen for almost 5 months due to constant abscess. All these years I've been terrified to get another wisdom tooth extracted.. So I called Dr. Polyakov's office first thing Monday morning, and was getting the x-rays and (free) consultation an hour later! The whole team is so welcoming and makes you feel very comfortable. We scheduled the surgery for the next day. I would probably go with the intravenous if I had to have 3-4 wisdom teeth removed, but for my one tooth I chose local anesthesia. You can definitely feel a little pain/discomfort with local, but for 2-minute procedure - totally tolerable! Yes, the extraction took 2 minutes! it's UNBELIEVABLE!! I closed my eyes expecting the worst and in like 1.5 minutes I hear "Ok, it's out"! next 10 seconds he sewed it up and it was all done! It's 24 hrs after the surgery, and I have almost NO swelling (only noticeable by me), very little pain, and I'm running errands already. Just amazing. This is my first time writing a Yelp review. Let me just say this - My experience with Dr. Polykov and his staff was my BEST medical experience of any kind that I have had EVER! Seriously, I was floored! These people really care about customer service. All the staff are very friendly. They greet you with a smile right away, shake your hand, introduce themselves, look you in the eye, make jokes. You get the feeling they are all trying to impress you. The office is super clean and modern. In the waiting area there is a tv screen that shows different animated dental operations (was interesting). I went in for a consultation (had already having seen another Oral Surgeon, who I decided not to go with) re. the extraction of my four wisdom teeth. Dr. Polyakov was very thorough explaining everything. Helpful videos were shown so I could understand the procedure, and I was given a mirror so that he could show me things in my own mouth. He answered all of my questions. I did not feel rushed. He went through all the potential negative issues that could occur (and talked about what I am more or less at risk of being affected by). Then we went through what my insurance would cover, and they had this all straight. I went ahead and booked an appointment for a few days later! I picked up my prescription pain killers and antibiotics at the pharmacy downstairs so that I would be all prepared for the day of. On the day of the extraction, I went in, was quickly shown to the room where the surgery was to be done. Priscilla went over (again) what I should do after the operation (they gave me a paper that outlined when I should take which medication, she reviewed this another time after I came to). Dr. Polyakov came in, greeted me warmly, started the drip, and... I woke up and it was all done! That night, Dr. Polyakov called me to make sure I was ok! Because I was leaving the country a few days later, I returned to Synergy for a FREE checkup - the stitches were removed and I was instructed on how to clean the area that was still healing (they gave me a mirror and I watched as they showed me how it is done). Two weeks later, when I returned to LA, I had another FREE checkup, where Dr. Polyakov made sure that everything was healing as it should (which it is). They insisted that if I felt any discomfort or thought it might be infected, I should come in again, no charge. Ladies and gentlemen, THIS is what medical attention should be in this country. It's 7 hours after the procedure and I feel great! It's still in a little pain but i think my impacted wisdom teeth hurt more. I'm so glad I got it done by him. To recap what happened, my wisdom teeth have been hurting for the past 4 days and I was hoping to ride it out and just as I have been doing with my other teeth one day I decided I couldn't continue with the pain so in a desperate attempt I Googled "Emergency Wisdom Teeth removal" and was lucky enough to find this practice that was very conveniently 5 minutes away from my home! They were able to take me right away and immediately walking into the door Dr. Polyakov's beautiful staff greeted me, knew my name and worked as a team to get my insurance logistics figured out. Shortly after I was called in and a lady (I think her name is Natalie) very thoroughly went through everything to expect.... procedure, discomfort... and days to come. Then Dr. Polyakov came in told me my options and even showed me a video about why my wisdom teeth are in pain! I really appreciated the knowledge! :) Anyway, my only option was the "laughing gas" because I didn't have anyone to pick me up and for "the most painful option" there is it really wasn't bad... but maybe it was because the doctor was THAT good. Afterwards I was brought into another room with a really comfortable chair and they went over some more things after the doctor came back to ask how I'm doing and to say goodbye. I spent 7 years fearing the extraction of my wisdom teeth and let me tell you, two days in, it couldn't have went smoother. I've had minimal swelling, almost no pain and no bruising. Dr. Polyakov and his staff were extremely friendly, compassionate, and they had me in and out of the procedure within an hour. I felt so well after the surgery (and of course the effects of anesthesia differ per individual), I could've probably driven myself home! Dr. Polyakov is simply amazing. I went in to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled and was quite afraid. I had never liked the dentist and had never had any sort of surgery done, especially under general anesthesia. Although it feels strange to say this, my wisdom teeth extraction was one of the most pleasant dental experiences I have ever had. Once the IV drip started, I was out completely. I woke to what seamed to be 5 minutes later and *poof* no more wisdom teeth. When I went home I was expecting to be in a lot of pain but I followed Dr. Polyakov's recommendations on when to take Advil and when to take Vicodin and it worked out really well. I stopped taking the Vicodin on the third day, but still continued with the Advil for a few more days + the antibiotics, of course. Dr. Polyakov even referred me to an amazing general dentist who I absolutely love. Overall, Dr. Polyakov and his team are professional, quick, kind and everything you would want from an oral surgeon and his brigade. Synergy and Carissa are all super heroes! I booked my wisdom teeth apt through a doctor who ended up not taking my insurance so I had to find someone last minute since I had already taken work off. Carissa made the process so incredibly easy, I didn't know anyone could be so helpful! Paperwork etc was so easy thanks to these lovely ladies! Dr. Polyakov and his staff made me feel comfortable even though this was my first major procedure. The x-rays and procedure went so quickly and the day I had my surgery I had no pain at all and mainly stuck to just Advil. Since my body was recovering I was certainly tired for a couple days after the surgery, but barely any pain. They gave me a thing to hold the ice packs they gave me, to my face and a cute care package filled with ramen noodle and oatmeal! After spending a few thousand here, they double charged for a couple of small things, but won't admit it or give me time to follow up with the insurance company. Be wary of going here. I had an incredible experience with Dr. Polyakov. I had my wisdom teeth removed on August 6th. My lower wisdom teeth were horribly impacted and caused me many sleepless nights, and my upper ones were growing in horizontally... near my sinuses! I really needed to feel like I was in good hands, especially because this was my first surgery. When I went for my consultation, the reception desk was very inviting and warm. They told me from the get-go how much it would cost; they were never deceptive about prices. The first thing I noticed is that he talks very quickly, but he is clearly passionate and knowledgeable about what he does, which reassured me that I was making the correct choice. The surgery itself went fantastically. There were no extra charges aside from the antibiotics and pain killers, and they put me on just the right amount of general anesthesia. I woke up in pain (obviously) and Dr. Polyakov and his staff were very attentive to me, helping me take the painkiller before I was taken to my mother. I made a follow-up appointment 10 days later to check up on my teeth, and one had a very slight infection near one tooth, but Dr. Polyakov taught me how to clean the area and general tips to speed up healing. If you find yourself in this man's office, run, don't walk to the nearest exit. There are no words to describe adequately what an unethical, incompetent charlatan Dr. Vladimir Polyakov is, but I will try my best to simply tell the truth in hopes of preventing this man from doing any further damage to other members of the unsuspecting public. I went to this guy for a simple tooth extraction. Not only did he upsell me into doing a dual tooth extraction, complete with implants and abutments, but he did so by convincing me that he would first get authority for this procedure from my regular dentist who had referred me to him. Needless to say, Dr. Polyakov never got such authority from my regular dentist. Before he did any work, I paid him nearly $6000.00. After doing the extractions and installing the implants, for some unknown reason, Dr. Polyakov took impressions of my teeth in preparation for creating the crowns to be installed on top of the implants. I have no idea why he did this, as he candidly admitted that he is not an expert in the restorative/crown process, and it was my regular dentist who was supposed to do the crown work. Regardless he sent these impressions to the lab, and weeks later inserted the completed crowns into my mouth. They did not fit. They were oversized, mis-shaped, and caught food every time I ate. After I complained for about a month of the pain and discomfort, he finally removed the crowns, marked them with a Sharpie in places where he thought they were incorrectly sized, and then sent them back to the lab. When the crowns came back from the lab, Dr. Polyakov re-inserted them into my mouth. The crowns still did not fit correctly, were painful, and continued to catch food every time I ate. Dr. Polyakov then shrugged his shoulders and said that there's nothing more that he can do to fix the problems with the crowns. He then referred me to his colleague, who is a specialist in restorative work. I went to that specialist, who told me that the crown work done by Dr. Polyakov needed to be completely re-done (as it was not done properly), at a cost of $5000.00! I requested from Dr. Polyakov that he refund some portion of the $6000 I had paid him so that I could pay the specialist to fix the problems with the crowns created by Dr. Polyakov. Dr. Polyakov refused to assist me in any way. Therefore, I had to sue him in small claims court. At trial in small claims court, Dr. Polyakov looked the judge in the eye and stated that he DID NOT DO ANY OF THE CROWN WORK on my mouth! I sat in this guy's dental chair on five separate occasions while he took the molds for the crowns, inserted the crowns, removed the crowns so that they could be re-done, re-inserted the crowns -- yet I watched in amazement as he LIED TO THE JUDGE IN OPEN COURT by stating that he did not do any of the work associated with the crowns in my mouth that are now causing me continuous pain and discomfort!! In fact, in court, Dr. Polyakov went so far as to actually blame his shoddy work on my primary dentist, who never did ANY portion of the work associated with my crowns! Misrepresentations and upselling. Incompetence in dentistry. Perjury in open court. This is my experience with Dr. Vladimir Polyakov. So I'll say it again: run, don't walk, from this man's office. read more

Everything was great. The doctor was professional, the staff are super friendly, and the office is in a convenient location! I went to get my wisdom teeth removed which went extremely well and I healed quickly. I brought my own x-ray from my general dentist but he needed to take another. He through that in for free. My only complaint is that I was estimated at about $60 less than what they actually charged. I didn't bother arguing but it kept them from 5 stars! read more

Referred to DR. Polyakov by my dentist, Dr. Kosdon (who I also adore and highly recommend) for my wisdom teeth removal and it was the best decision I could've made. He and his fabulous staff made my experience quite literally painless! I know that each person heals differently, etc. However, I had all 4 teeth (which were all impacted, mind you) removed five days ago, and my recovery has been a BREEZE. The staff at this office are exceptional, they are warm and caring and extremely helpful. I was nervous about the anesthesia, but everyone just made me so comfortable and their confidence eased my nerves. The office is clean and bright, and I never had to wait for my appointments - they saw me on time for both my visits. There is a pharmacy conveniently located on the first floor of the building, so my sister grabbed my prescriptions while I was having the teeth taken out. Also, the charge was extremely reasonable - I paid about half what my sister had paid at another oral surgeon for the same exact thing (we both have the same plan with Delta dental insurance). I never thought a dental experience could be so pleasant. Upon finding out I needed a dental implant, I was very nervous that it would be a terrifying experience. Dr. Polyakov was recommended to me by a trusted friend, who also happens to be a dentist. My appointment was made after being evaluated, when I arrived for the procedure, one of his nurses sat me in a big, comfy chair, and wrapped in warm, cozy blanket. Nice music was playing, and before I knew it, it was over. It's five months later, I now have my permanent implant crown.
