It's a small four pearl charm piece that fits on my locket chain. My husband had purchased my locket many years after my daughter had been born and now that we're expecting our second child, he found the perfect way to make one of my favorite pieces of jewelry memorable for the next step in our life (the charm has three pearls on the bottom and one on top). Aylee's jewelry is gorgeous, I've never seen such beautiful pearls and such sweet symbolism. The packaging was tastefully done as well and my husband mentioned what a great shopping experience it was with our four year old (I believe it was the owner's mother who assisted my husband with his purchase and she was really kind to our tempetuous four year old).

I didn't create anything like the intricate, finely detailed works you will see in this shop, but my experience left me with an eye for semi-precious stones as well as for pleasing designs. My eye (both of them, actually) is happy when I peruse her creations on display. How she does some of it is beyond my ability to comprehend, but I'm glad she does. I've watched shoppers here enough to know that many of Aylee's designs provide a lot of flexibility. I may not use the proper terms here, but with a given necklace you can choose from a number of attachments/pendants/baubles designed to go with it, allowing you to change your mood from day to day. Hope that makes sense. Just stop in and check it out and you'll see what I'm trying to say. Aylee is a very congenial business owner and a pleasure to be around.

Going into my wedding planning, I knew I would need jewelry. The thing is, I didn't really want…read morejewelry. I don't typically wear any sort of accessories, and I figured I would find something that didn't look too bad at the last minute. I was explaining this to my friend and she told me I needed to take a look at Sara's stuff. Simple, feminine, classic, not over-the-top, her pieces are perfect for a non-accessorizer like myself. I took a look at her website, found some pieces that I thought I might like, but must confess, I was having a hard time envisioning it without being able to see it. I contacted Sara to discuss this, and she suggested we meet so I could look at her work in person to get a better idea. She talked with me about what I like and what I am imagining for the wedding, then told me to just go through everything and set aside pieces that I am drawn to. Then we went back to what I had chosen and went through those pieces, and slowly I narrowed it down to a few special pieces. At this point I realized I was getting excited about my jewelry, because now it was much more special and personalized. The pieces Sara helped me pick out (two necklaces, a bracelet, and earrings) make a lovely set, but individually are lovely as well. She talked about how I will be able to wear these separately for everyday or for special occasions, and the bonus is that I will always be able to remember my amazing wedding day when I take them out. When I received the completed pieces I was so glad that I had gone this route. Instead of just wearing some jewelry that I was ok with, I got beautiful pieces from a beautiful person. Working with Sara really helped me feel like a bride, and got me excited about the tiny intimate details. I felt so special taking each piece out of the box and putting it on on my wedding day, knowing that she had hand-crafted each piece. I am so thankful Sara and I connected! Her work is amazing and she is a lovely person!

This business is actually permanently closed. She has an online website with a limited selection…read morebut the storefront no longer exists. We purchased an engagement ring and band from her with the thought that, as the main setting was from the 1940's, that the metal was bent along the right hand side. We decided to get that fixed with our regular jeweler at a later time, but left the ring with her and her bench jeweler to size it. After he proposed (about six months after the ring was purchased) we took the ring to have it looked over as I would begin to wear it every day. It was at that time we found out the ring had a HUGE chip in the main stone. A chip so large Antoinette should not only have mentioned it (she didn't), she should have noted it on the receipt, and - quite frankly - should not even have been selling it. The stone is actually worthless. Not "worth less" as in less than we paid, but complete garbage. As we purchased during COVID - and trusted her - we did not look at the ring through a loupe before buying it. We spent four hours in the store looking at rings ranging from a couple thousand dollars to $15,000. As an aside, the runner up ring was $11k or $13k and, had we known about the chip, that would have very easily been the sale/"the one." Since the refusal of our jeweler (and many others) to reset the stone to hide the crack or re-cut the stone (it's already small) - we have asked her numerous times to make it right. Thus far the only offer is to swap it for a ring with a smaller stone (that isn't chipped) but not part of a set. This review is mostly moot as she is not in business anymore - but I feel it is necessary as someone who touts herself as a small business jeweler who loves her customers and her pieces is clearly a fraud. The ring is junk, I hate looking at it, I have zero recollection of a positive buying experience, and honestly wish we had never set foot in her store. There are *tons* of online stores that specialize in old Euro cut and old mine cut stones that allow for returns and who are more than happy to make things right. Buy from them instead.

My taste tends toward vintage but not too ornate. He also wanted to incorporate several diamonds that had been my grandmothers. Other stores told him "no way", that they couldn't budge from their boring settings. Cindy at Mary's was (so I'm told) instantly helpful, and they knew they were in the right place. She helped him pick a beautiful ring that I love, that means a ton because my grandmother's diamonds are set in it, and that didn't blow his budget. I'm back today for a quick and complimentary cleaning before the big day this weekend. Thank you Cindy! We will be back again and again.

We had plans to go into downtown and visit Malka's (which has good reviews, but our experience was awful); as it wasn't open yet we decided to explore some of the other stores in what's known as the "Diamond District" (seriously there are at least 6 stores within one block). Our first stop was Estate Jewelry (the attached/second location) next to Mary's. Bob was helpful but he told us that for a larger selection we should look next store. I'm so glad we did. CINDY WAS AMAZING! We walked in and she stopped what she was doing to greet us, ask what we were looking for and start showing us a selection. With just looking at my hands she knew exactly what size I was (I had been measured earlier that day) and made sure to only show us rings within my fiancé's price range. She helped educate my partner in sizes, cuts, how to stack bands once we are married. She may have been giddier than I was with comments like, "I just love Love!" When it came to the ring that my fiancé would eventually buy, she slipped it on my hand and said "Now I've put that ring on many fingers but now THATS a finger!" I think we all knew then it was the one meant to be ours. Later that day, while I was off shopping elsewhere, my fiancé went back to Mary's Jewelry to buy the ring he loved most. Cindy not only remembered his name but also knew exactly what ring he came back to get. She told him that she could tell i not only loved him but I liked him too. We've already discussed going back when it comes time to buying our wedding bands. Thank you Cindy for the best experience we could have asked for.
