This place is packed with regular clients. VJ himself is a great hair stylist. He speaks Armenian and Farsi, very limited English. His staff is nice and friendly. They always offer you coffee and sweet desserts while you are waiting to get your hair done. The wait is very long to see VJ. Namely because the clients all seem to be getting ready for big formal parities, so it takes longer to style their hair. I would recommend visiting on a weekday, maybe less of a wait. The prices are very low and the hair style quality is high. Never had a manicure there before, but there's one nail technician who offers manicures & pedicures as well. read more

VJ is a very good hair stylist, and I've been his loyal customer for years. I would be glad to give this hair salon 5 stars but for the wait we sometimes have to put up with. These people do a great job, and I'd rather wait a little longer here than go to someone else and get a not-so-good of a job. I guess you can't have everything at the same time - great stylist, nice staff, good service, affordable prices, no wait. Do not ever go to this salon and give him your business. I went to a salon this morning very very last minute (people I always go to didn't have availability). There was a new assistant working there super super sweet and provided excellent customer service. I asked if she could wash my hair thoroughly since I had mousse on...she said sure and did it in UNDER 2 min. The owner of the salon started YELLING at her and belittling her in front of everyone including myself (THE CLIENT)!! The girl was trying to explain that I asked her to wash my hair. He was insisting that there was no reason to wash my hair all she had to do was wet it. The girl said I understand I'm sorry but if the client is asking me to am I supposed to say no?? In front of me and other clients this man threw a fit verbally harassed her over and over. We all got involved I felt extremely horrible feeling like I caused the whole thing just because I asked her to wash my hair. (Didn't even know this is not included for a damn haircut). Long story short this sweet girl was in tears and no matter how much we tried he would not stop his rude behavior. Stay away and take your business elsewhere. He has no respect!!!!!! read more

he doesn't deserve to get any star and be in the business at all... i have been here for 30 years, never ever met someone like him... my first and last time. very uneducated, unprofessional, dishonest, disrespectful ... he is such a jerk... with the zero professional and customer service skills. he was the same way with the lady working for him... yelling at her front of the customers and treating her like no human...the color i had with him, didn't even change the color of my hair roots. they stayed the same were before the coloring. he gave me different price before, charged a lot more after. the people i saw there were elderly ladies... i am sure he is using them because they don't drive to go far, they don't know the prices so he is charging as much as he wants... thats how he is making lots of money and buying houses with cash money and selling them... i was there, when he was talking to his realtor about all this... don't even try this stupid stealer... read more

I've never had such a horrible experience anywhere than I did at this salon. While getting my hair styled for an event I was given all the following complimentary services: hairspray directly sprayed in my eyes, a curling iron burn on the left side of my eye, and aggressive pulls to my hair strands (all of which did not follow with any reaction from the owner/stylist whatsoever.) Him and his assistant were extremely rude to me and lacked customer service. When I told them I did not like how it turned out he said "no don't worry. It'll look great." I'm not quite sure how hair u spent 15 minutes curling and "styling" could look great. Never go to this salon! Why? Because no amount of "talent" (if u could even say he has any) deserves $1 or your time when given to a person that's truly disrespectful and so full of themselves. read more

This place is indeed great, I got my hair cut by Varouj and I love it. He's consistently professional, attentive and really nice! My ends were very damaged as I used a chemical dye over my hennaed hair a while back- I also had extra short layers done by another hairstylist. Varouj gave me exactly what I wanted - didn't chop off too much/too little.. which is the issue I have with a lot of other stylists. Varouj listens and delivers. Love my hair! read more

Love how Varuzh cuts my hair! Other places I've gone to, they chop off most of your hair no matter how much you tell them to. I've also wanted to change up my hair and he would tell me what would look good on me and what wouldnt. There has actually been a time where he refused to cut it a certain way because it would really look fake and bad and I am glad he didnt! Varuzh is the only person I trust with my hair when it comes to hair cuts. He also does amazing hair styles and LOVELOVELOVE his up-dos.
