I had asked for a simple 1.5 on top with a zero fade in the back. The fade had a harsh line, and when I asked if it could be blended more I was told "That's the most I can fade it." I didn't want to be pushy, so I actually started wondering if maybe I was the problem and just wasn't seeing it right. I got in the car trying so hard to hold back my tears. Then I remembered Executive Barbershop was just up the street. I quickly searched for their number and called hoping someone might still be available. Narbeh answered and explained they were already closed and about to start on his last client. I think he could hear the panic and disappointment in my voice because without hesitation he told me he'd stay and take my son once his client was done. When he saw the haircut, I think he was just as shocked as I was. He didn't have much to work with, but somehow he completely transformed it. I honestly can't believe these were the same haircuts. Narbeh gave my son exactly what I had originally asked for, despite having to fix someone else's mistake. To top it all off, he didn't even want to charge us. But there was absolutely no way I was walking out of there without paying him. That level of kindness, professionalism, and dedication is so rare. Thank you so much Narbeh. You truly saved the day and I don't think I'll ever forget your kindness. You turned one of the most stressful moments into such a positive experience that you absolutely earned our business. We can't wait to come back.

I called about a week in advance to book my hair appointment with Eunice. I can tell right away…read morejust from my initial conversation with her that she was very experienced and knowledgeable about hair care. I was looking for a salon to get my annual digital perm. I was convinced that she was someone I could trust with my hair and to help me get the digital perm that I wanted so I booked my appointment with her. I was already warned that digital perms would take a long time so she told me to block out about 3-4 hours. Before starting anything, she checked the health of my hair and also talked through cutting my hair before starting the digital perm process. I appreciated how she knew what lengths and the type of haircut that would best suit me as the digital perm would grow out in the future. I also showed her my digital perms from the past that I liked and didn't like (from other salons that I had gone to) and we were in agreement as to what kind of perm, length, and shape she was going to aim for. She pays great care to details and even made sure that she had the correct intensity of chemicals to make sure that she preserved the health of my hair while perming it. I really appreciated her taking her time to make sure that she was thorough and careful to make sure that this was going to be worthy of my investment. She explained each step of the perm process as she was doing each step. She takes great pride in her work and wanted to make sure that she was also satisfied with her work. Although it was a long morning, she took great care to make sure that I was comfortable and even offered coffee/beverages while I waited. Eunice is so incredibly sweet and is so much fun and easy to talk to. Digital perms in general are pricey, but it's because there is a lot of labor and preparation that goes into perms that are done correctly and done well. I feel like her price point was fair considering her thoroughness and care throughout the process. I definitely plan to come back again next year and I am so glad that I found someone I can confidently trust and go back to for my annual digital perm.

With Vrej, the owner, you get two things most men want with their barber: Skills to cut your hair the way YOU want it consistently EVERY time, and the genuine customer service that is attentive to YOUR needs. He has been in this business for years and knows his craft so well that watching him cut and style feels like enjoying an artful performance. The attentive customer service is one that adjusts with each customer. If you are talkative and would like to chit-chat during your haircut, he will listen and converse. If you are the quite type, like me, he would respect your space and keeps the conversation only to the niceties. He is a skilled barber and a respectful gentleman. Throughout the past few years, a couple of my friends, who were staying in the nearby hotels (Hilton and Embassy Suites) when they were visiting LA, had Vrej cut their hair. They were very happy with my recommendation. read more

Had an excellent experience with Brandon at this establishment…read more Ambience: The urban jungle styled interior is kept clean with very minimal accent pieces, (unlike many barber shops that are filled with random memorabilia and end up looking tacky) and while it is a somewhat narrow space, it is appointment only so it was anything but crowded or cramped. There was an oak stool on the other side of the shop for waiting customers but while I was there no one was waiting - all who came in came right to the chair. In the hour and a half I was there I saw the floor swept multiple times, and stations cleaned as regularly as one would expect. Soda, water, and a variety of candy were well stocked and available. Some chill reggaetón played during my cut - audible enough to cut the occasional silence but low enough to relax to or maintain conversation without having to raise my voice. Not sure what the "stinky little place" reviewer was talking about... all I could smell here was a bit of hair product and the occasional whiff of the food from the restaurant next door. In general I would say the atmosphere here flows comfortably in between urban prep and casual. The Cut: Brandon's calm and approachable disposition was pleasant to make conversation with. He was very attentive to my initial description for the cut, and replicated the picture I showed him to a tee without asking to see it again once, making sure to stop along the way to ask whether I liked how it was looking. In conversation it is clear that although humble, he takes great pride in his profession and takes it very seriously, which is very reassuring to hear when at the mercy of a stranger's clippers. His care, talent and attention to detail is undeniable, and I say that as someone who is extremely picky with barbers because of a general lack of the latter in most. At the end of my cut, which was already as perfect as I thought I could want, he offered to add line enhancements, which if you are a waver you will recognize as a service not commonly offered, especially in an area like Glendale. Overall I was very pleased with my visit and my cut, and look forward to coming back again. If I could give 6 stars I would.
