It is taking an extremely long time for them to respond to my inquiries. I left a deposit on July 31 to start the work and they still have not ordered the door. I understand they had to wait to get a permit from the town before they could order it, but there still seems to be problems. I am surprised by other reviews saying they respond promptly. It can take a week or two for them to respond to an email. I feel they do good work, but their timeliness is below 3 stars.

Henrique and his fixed the damage, made the room much more weatherproof, and made the inside far far nicer than it was before. They were supposed to build a new rubber roof. It started leaking on 3 separate occasions (which btw was never fully fixed -- we moved on to different contractors who did address the issues). And like I said, it would take months for them to actually come back and attempt to fix anything. Often they'd come by, look at the damage, then I wouldn't hear from them for multiple weeks. Meanwhile, more damage continues to accrue to the walls and ceilings. The internal fixes they applied for the water damage were just patch jobs. They just plastered and painted over. Meanwhile, the insulation behind the wall was soaked and accrued black mold that we had to address later. Also worth pointing out a major blunder at the beginning of the project (see attached videos and pics). They opened up the roof, and left it open for multiple days without doing any work. Well of course a major rainstorm came by (which was on the weather forecast well in advance). Alll that water poured into the house in the middle of the night setting off fire alarms. It was a nightmare to deal with on my end.

Charlie came to me by with glowing recommendations by way of a friend, and he has far exceeded my every expectation and hope. Charlie is a true artist, and his attention to detail is astounding, leading to a spectacularly beautiful finished product. As importantly to me, Charlie always carries himself with the utmost professionalism and is someone in whom I have full confidence and trust. His time and cost estimates were incredibly good and he was transparent and accommodating throughout. Choosing a contractor and carpenter is a big decision and I can say without reservation that there's nobody better. They removed & replaced rotted sill plates on the door and windows, foam insulated, & replace sills & molding with all new. Nik goes the extra distance adding a white oak threshold, replacing the sliding door moulding trim with bigger ones & also replacing the adjacent thru-the-wall A/C unit box's trim, making it look so much better. Nik took apart Harvey window sashes & trimmed the vinyl corner's mitered edges that the Harvey Window factory should've taken care of in QC. Nik is the consummate professional - he does what he says he'll do, always on time, dedicated, hardworking, superb craftsmanship, very experienced carpenter, and a perfectionist. He goes the extra distance & looks out for your interests, even when you don't know work needs to be done. And that's someone you want in your court. From initial consultation to start of the work, everything was smooth and very simple - he explained very clearly what was needed and kept making sure I had no questions. During the same visit, as he was assessing the roof on my garage, he inquired if I ever considered a skylight for the bonus room. In like manner, he had an assessment and estimate in my hands and, after I agreed, likewise made a point to begin the work as soon as he could. I've attached pictures to show progress. I am beyond pleased with the final product. Not only did they install a beautiful skylight, they repainted the rest of the wall to match and the finished work looks as if it were installed as part of the original bonus room. Douglas and his team clearly know roofing, windows, and framing. And their skills back up their work. To make things even better, when a subsequent wind & rain storm resulted in a few drips on the sides of the skylight, Douglas and team were back within days to reassess their work - they removed the skylight, re-checked and shored up the lining, and reinstalled the window in less than a day at no additional cost.
