Do NOT hire Vivint.... I'm a senior citizen who contracted with Vivint 3 weeks ago...since then I've had nothing but poor service. Doorbell cameras only capture someone standing directly in front of it (my Ring doorbell did that) not the range of yard they promised. After fixing that issue (I thought)..... it continues happen. Inside panel not installed on wall ..just sitting on table. Several technician dates to fix but no one shows up or calls, key fob broke after 2 wks and they wanted to charge me $50 to send another (I said NO WAY). They make promises that DON'T keep. If I'm having these problems after 2-3 wks....what nightmares will I encounter in 5 yrs, SCARRY. So sorry I didn't read the MANY BAD reviews beforehand. Of course, I cancelled....they at first gave me that 3 day cancellation BS......but after talking to MANY reps. They conceded to process my cancellation. I'm now waiting for see if someone shows up to pickup their faulty equipment (which they say will complete the process). I don't trust them or what they say, we'll see. Want another laugh ...I got a bill in mail today for $205...for what I don't know....I've only had Vivint for 3 wks...plus I disconnected all products after 2 wks. I got a new system on 06/24/22 and the outdoor camera does not work, I did not get my key fob, smoke detector or carbon monoxide detector. I had 4 appointments for them to come out and not only did they not show up, but they didn't bother to call me. Just kept me waiting. The doorbell camera only video's when someone is standing direcly in front of the camera, when I get a package that's not left directly in front of my door, all I get is a "deter notice"saying "The Motion Dectector was opened" no video. Calling customer service is no better, they leave you on hold and if you hold more than 20 minutes, they dis-connect your call. I have asked for a supervisor and had to wait over an hour only to be told they cannot reach one, the last time I asked for a supervisor they just hung up on me (07/15/22) Always asks me to call them bac. When I spoke to two supervisor's previously they both told me they would call me back, neither one did. I was told by the sales rep that I had 14 business days to cancel as I am over 60, and Vivint, told me I only had 3 business days when I called to cancel. I have in writing from the sale rep that I have 14 business days to cancel. They are refusing to cancel and are basically saying they have my financial information so screw me. I have to pay even if I don't have working equipment, the sales rep lied and they do not have technician to service my area. I have contacted Citzens Bank and they told me only Vivint can cancel my contract which is for 5 years!! I cannot deal with this poor service for 5 years and I should not be forced to. I am contacting the Better Business Bureau next. Please accept my notice of cancellation which was submitted within my legal 14 business days per what I received from the sales rep.
