She even offered her floral services after hearing of our lack of motivation with doing more research on top of whats already a time consuming event. Our night was flawless and better than we imagined. By the end of the night I thought of Jenna as more of a friend and less of a venue coordinator. I was sad to say goodbye to her and the venue!

Horduerves ranging from spinich dip to mini cab cakes to stuffed mushrooms served as tasty snacks. Parking was very accessible. The only fault I find is a dent in the dancefloor that I (and several people) tripped on throughout the party... but that also kind of added to the night's merriment.

She made it so easy to fall in love with the venue! So many great indoor and outdoor picture opportunities along with lots of spaces to get ready! I would say the venue only comfortably holds about 100 guests though! You can book for up to 175 but it would be pretty tight! We did have one issue with a wedding card being opened and then returned to a new spot (most likely because it was a check and not cash) by someone working at the venue - but this was most likely not the 8th and main staff! Would highly recommend!

I recently went to a wedding at 8th & Main. The space is beautiful, but the layout is funky…read more There is the first room, the vault room. It just has a cool vault door. This room is on the smaller side. You could have a small ceremony or a few round tables in it. Then there are 2 small hallways on either side of the vault room that lead to the back room which is bigger. The hallways are kind of annoying. They have the men's restroom in 1 hallway and then on the other side, is the women's. It was annoying because it wasn't well marked and it was easy to forget which side was which. The back patio is nice. It's a decently sized patio. It has fake put-put golf grass. I can't decide how I feel about that. Overall I wasn't overly impressed with the space. I believe the bride said it was $4k to rent it on a Saturday, but you could choose your own vendors. Since the location is in tiny little Grandview and not KC, I think that seems a tad steep.

That could be any fantastic blur of nightlife in the city. Oh well. You'll have to take my word for it. This place is gorgeous. Believe! I attended an event here the other evening and was really impressed with this event space. If I weren't leaving KC, I'd be on the line with them right now about setting something up for the near future. If you like spaces that wonderfully retain the spirit of KC's jazz age past, this is the venue for you. I can see anything from a really fabulous fashion show to a retro big band party to glamorous wedding taking place here. The only potential thing to note is that sound would need to be checked if you want to have live music. I have a strong feeling live jazz would be most appropriate here... rock & roll, not so much (duh). And that's totally fine by me, seeing as sometimes I pretend I'm existing in 1928 anyway.
