This was my first time, I was greeted and offered something to drink while I waited for my stylist. Shortly Lourdes came to greet me and take me to her station. She was so sweet and took time to understand the type of style I wanted. She did such a great job! I was so excited with the results! Scheduled my daughter's hair appointment before a competition. Arrived and waited for 15 mins past the scheduled time just to be told that they messed up the schedule and the stylist was out of town. Had to reschedule my entire day! A couple of the stylists are good, but this salon itself is unprofessional and disorganized. They called to confirm the appointment with me... why didn't they call the stylist and confirm, as well? I will now just contact the stylist directly and avoid the salon completely. read more

Terrible customer service. I Just moved to the area and was so excited to get my hair done after many years. Decided I wanted to go lighter for the spring. I took my chance on an "upscale salon" thinking I would get what I pay for. After six hours in the chair, I couldn't believe that they would have me walking out with my hair looking like this. I left in tears and felt offended that I was charged over $200 for hair that looks like I did it myself .. The salon never apologized for the now damaged and discolored hair. As you can see, I will never recommend nor ever return back to this salon. read more

Came by to pick up a couple products that were sold out online. They were one of the only places in town that carried the invati men's system. Staff wasn't very friendly. Receptionist was no where to be found. stylist didn't seem to care that I was off waiting to be checked out. No masks worn by stylist or receptionist, disappointing service and care. read more

Long review but PLEASE read this and be warned. There is a list of reasons this new business will lose customers.The front desk receptionist, Larken is so unprofessional, its insulting. At first, a friendly, sweet demenor but the crazy came out at the end. I went in hoping to find a stylist that would tone my brassy hair and give me a more blended look. Larken said I need to see Laura, the Master colorist and owner. So I did. I believed Laura could get me happy with my hair color. After 6 HOURS of her bleaching, coloring, highlighting, glazing, rinsing out, rough drying (to check the color) she still wasn't finished with me. BTW, my hair is shoulder length and straight, although thick. She would have let me leave the salon with orange on the top and grey/green and yellow strips if I didn't point it out. I think my hair was more than she could handle. She did offer to add another glaze to fix it the next day. I went to the front desk to check out and receptionist gave me my total which was $220+. I said, "Im not paying the full amount until tomorrow. I will pay half today and the rest tomorrow when she fixes my hair." It was at this point when she lost just lost it. She accused my of "complaining the whole time" that the stylist spent over 6 hours with me..." OK. she spent 6 hours on me when she said id be there for 2.5 hours. so how is that my fault? She is the expert here right? her timing has nothing to do with me and everything to do with her skill level. Not MY fault she couldn't get it right the first time. I asked her what the charges where all for and the craziest thing was a $35 blow dry styling fee that was simply drying the side of my hair to see the actual color and it got washed away minutes after to add another glaze!! Anyway, I agreed to pay $210 with the intention of coming back the next day to fix it. (I'm not trying to be difficult, I was actually still positive Laura the stylist can get me what I want. I never asked for a discount on ANYTHING. Yet, the receptionist tried to make a big deal about them "generously discounting my total" LOL. (honey I'm not concerned about spending money as long as it looks like a professional did it.) Also, I know these hey absolutely petty mentions but i take note when I go to a new business and these stuck out: 1. I was first client there, saw a sign about offering "Aveda tea". While i waited in the reception area, Larken asked if id like anything, I said I'll try the tea, however, she said they didn't have any. YET, when Laura offered me something....suddenly they had tea. Funny. 2. There was a dead roach in the bathroom. I informed them discreetly even though i knew there were no other clients present. No big deal but i thought it was cute how she came back and try to say it was a big cricket. lol like, yeah....ok. Its a cricket. I know what a tree roach looks like. 3. Why wasnt the toilet paper roll refilled? I seriously had to grab the extra roll and replace it. i know i didnt have to, but its little details like that, that stick out and separate the professional businesses from these mediocre businesses that think they are the shit because they have a pretty salon. This place is a joke. When I asked about adding a protein bonder to my color, Larken said it was $20. I showed her on the menu of service it states $15 and her response was, "Well its $20 in our system." As someone that has worked in the service industry, this is not a great way to retain a client. I was just so put off by the attitude. This all made more sense when i discovered the receptionist is the daughter of Laura, the owner and "master colorist/educator. Total snowflake and entitled grown woman that acted like a defensive 16 year old. I cant wait to upload my pictures. I'm not upset with the colorist even though she wasn't able to achieve my goal. Its the way this clown of a receptionist handled her own mother's business that repulsed me. She has a lot to learn or she will absolutely drive business away. read more

My daughter was overcharged. Booked for $55 and and she was charged $71. I called to rectify the issue and was told by the owner that I obviously had a problem with her pricing. I explained my problem was my daughter was overcharged after booking at a set price. It was the principle not the actual cost. I waited until I'd been here a few times before leaving a review just to make sure it wasn't an accident that my hair turned out exactly the way I wanted it. It was no accident! I have been to many salons (which charged substantially more) and asked for a particular shade of red, always providing photos. I get that reds are difficult, and NO ONE has ever come close, but Laura totally nailed it on her first attempt. It is stunning, and I receive many compliments. The color and the highlights are perfect. Then step up to the chair where the scissor magic starts! I have short hair, and my cut is precise and shaped exactly how I want It. You know you have a great cut when you have short hair and even after 5 weeks the shape is still great and it is still easy to style. The salon is beautiful, smells like Aveda, and has great parking. read more

Let me start by saying my stylist was very polite and my appt started on time. First off I was shocked that no one was wearing a mask in the salon. I then understood why once I sat down and started hearing the discussions of the other stylists and customers. Apparently wearing a mask is very offensive! I just wanted to get my hair done not hear the political rants and moans of others. I had to cut my appt short (thankfully) and was charged $80 for a haircut and she didn't even blow dry it. Absurd, if you prefer politics be left out of your hair salon this is not the place for you. read more

I moved to Texas almost two years ago and I went everywhere looking for someone who used a specific product then I found Laura, she highlighted my hair two days prior to my wedding and has been my color expert ever since. My hair is not easy to make blonde, it takes time and seriously skill. I have many true blonde friends and I strive to look like a true blonde. Laura has spent many of her days with me being her single client because of this and she has never complained and has always fit me in; even last minute. I am beyond thankful to have found her and until I move or she retires I will never use another person. I've also done Brazilian blow outs with her that always come out perfect and last months. The new location is super spacious and well decorated, im so happy she was able to find it. It seems to be a perfect fit for her. I have been a client with Laura and Afton for several years and was excited for the launch of the new venture, Vive when they opened. The new location is gorgeous and you feel pampered from the moment you arrive with complementary beverage or mommy cocktail. I am addicted to the tea, so I sip a cup and always take a box to go. (I use the tea in my own work setting for clients.) Vive uses Aveda products, which I adore and always achieve stellar results. I have reddish-blonde hair that has changed with me as I became a mother. Laura always ensures color is natural and stunning. I appreciate she adds a glaze which ensures texture is so soft when I leave. Afton, is a wizard with the shears. She is the type of stylist that makes you wish you took more chances with cuts because it would be SO COOL. I generally have mid-longer locks and we tried a cute bob two years ago that I adored. I am frequently asked about stylists (when I am not in COVID isolation). Happy to recommend to friends, fam, and general folks. Lastly, although we live in an area known for over-charging, I often walk away feeling like the cost was "really reasonable." They charge a bit less than other salons with similar products/services but they take their time to ensure you never feel rushed and feel appreciated as a customer. read more
