It's pretty tiny but somehow we ended up spending about 4 hours here, mostly because of my kids. There is a small indoor portion in the church, where there are various vendors mostly selling women's jewelry. That is about 80% of the vendors at least when I visited in 2025. There was a stand selling great olive oil and olives (both of which I purchase) and a stand selling the delicious Greek desserts I basically ate every day while I lived in Astoria, Queens (one of the largest Greek communities in the US). The ladies at the bakery were so friendly, even offering my son a cookie for free (and of course he takes the entire box!). Outside, there is another bakery (with about 4 times the size of the line), and other food stalls. We got a lamb gyro with tzatziki and it was out of this world. There is a tent with music, where some people were dancing and an occasional singer or band would rotate in and out. Also in the tent was a drink vendor where my partner and I enjoyed a glass of white wine on a very hot day. The kids were drawn to the bouncy houses, which included some traditional ones and a blow up slide. It cost $10 per child for use all day. They certainly got their money's worth! There was a sign for face painting and pony rides but I did not see either and the ladies working the desk didn't know when or if they'd actually show up. Overall, a very relaxing spot. Don't expect a huge festival but a relaxed afternoon out or evening. There is also a lovely flower vendor that is a nice place to wander or buy flowers for the spring.

We prefer the drive-thru ones so we can stay nice and cozy in the car. It's cheaper on the weekdays and more expensive on the weekend. The ticket allows you to enter any time during your entry day. I highly recommend buying the tickets in advance. We enjoyed looking at the lights and singing along with the Christmas music. We went on a Saturday (week before Christmas) and the line was not long and the cars moved at a pretty good rate. Overall a fun holiday family event.

Save your money and gas. Yes, the tickets will sell out fast, and there's always no sense of order. Very chaotic. Plan to get here early. Or during the week. As the weekends is the worst times to go. Make sure everyone has gone to restroom before coming here. If you get here after 8pm, good luck. Expect lots of crowds. Now as far as the decos, lots of the same ol decos as when I was a kid. Very outdated. There's a few new exhibits but it's not worth the trip here or the price. There's really no assistance like the other reviewer mentioned. It's a quick drive, but plan for lots of traffic. If anything I prefer the lights at these locations. I was invited to attend a Moth storytelling event here and it was such a refreshing night out. The stories were heartfelt, funny, and sometimes deeply vulnerable in the best way. The host kept the energy going all night and was absolutely hilarious. It was the kind of clean fun that reminds you how powerful a room full of people sharing stories can be. The theater itself adds to the experience. Being inside feels like stepping back into the good old days before everything was streamed and watched at home. If you're feeling a little nostalgic for live entertainment and the magic of gathering together for a shared experience, this is the place. Definitely check out their lineup. It's a great excuse to get out of the house and enjoy something real, live, and memorable.

There were over 450 beers to choose from, with breweries from all over the world participating, and options came in every possible variety. I tried some new ones I have never heard of, from breweries I have never seen offered, and that is what a beer fest is all about. Despite tons of people and tons of offerings, there was plenty of space, a good amount of porta-potties, good food choices (my fave was Soko and their terrific double smash burger), easily accessible giant water jugs, and areas to sit or stand. Three stages, too with live music, DJs, and live podcast tapings throughout the day. Your ticket got you a complimentary tasting glass and as many free 4 oz pours you could handle. Food was extra but prices were reasonable. Regular tickets, which they call Kraken passes, were $85 this year (including fees and taxes), while VIP passes were double. Quite pricey for what you get, but for a once a year opportunity to explore some new beers with the Capitol Dome as a backdrop? I can dig it. For those curious, VIP gets you early entry, a dedicated tent/seating space, and your own porta-potties. I don't think that justifies the added price - I think they should lower the price slightly and offer some free merch, but many beers did run out before the end of the day, so if are a true beer fanatic, it's worth looking into. My favorite new discovery was Forager Brewing's imperial porter, the pudding goggles. Fun to say and even more fun to drink.

Crowds were massive so it was difficult getting to try different beers. They did hand out a few full sized at the beginning. A few beers were sold out by the time I got in for regular admission but the price for early entry didn't seem worth it to me. Overall, I would consider coming again but it isn't my favorite beer festival I've been to, it fell a bit short.

I was a patient of Villa Rosa in 2017 and this place was and is a hell hole. They let me sit in…read moresoiled diapers for 2-6 hours. CNA/GNA's ranged from good to bad. The administration and doctors proved to be incompetent. I was not satisfied with my poor and dangerous care, but feared for the older patients who had dementia or other mind altering diseases that left them unable to speak on their care or unaware of their poor conditions. Things were se grossly wrong I reported them to the State, Ombudsmen and hired an attorney. It took (3) weeks for a doctor to put simple order in for cold compress for my thigh. After (3) weeks of reminding I was given a rubber glove filled with ice! Another doctor tried to tell me that I was permitted to bear weight on my left leg/pelvis. I told she was incorrect that the doctor said (4) more weeks and not until he confirmed it with his next visit. When she brought me the order it did say weight bearing, but it was for my damn right wrist from another ortho doctor. How dangerous and incompetent. This doctor could have cause grave physical bodily damage to my pelvis and set me back weeks and months causing repaired surgery. THEY DESERVE NO STARS AND SHOULD BE CLOSED!

My most recent visit was during their 99th year, held on Tuesday July 23, 2019. Parking is free and is located on the grounds next to the Thrift Store and across the street from the Hospital (you may have to park on the hilly grassy areas if you arrive later in the day). There are several parking attendants directing you on where to park once you get on Prince Philip Drive. There is something for everyone at this festival and they are all at a minimal price. In 2019 they had: An area for kids with Pony Rides - there were 2 ponies, Inflatable rides (each manned by an attendant); Books, CD's and DVD's all sorted in different categories - these tents were rather popular. From what I remember, the prices were between $1 to $2 each. Some the books I purchased were in great condition. Most others were in average to great condition; Antiques was in a separate tent from the one with Jewelry. The Jewelry tent is quite popular as well - folks will line up in the rain for this tent to open up. They had everything from necklaces, earrings, rings, watches, scarves, etc. Plants / Fresh Produce / Framed Art - all in their own separate tents. Stuffed Animals - some of which were Beanies. All between $1 to $2 each and there were many. We purchase one or two a few years back. Games - I saw lots of board games, card games and lots of jigsaw puzzles. If there were pieces missing for a game, it would be listed on the game. The prices were listed as well. Prices looked between $1 to $2 each. Bakery - where folks made bakery items and they were available for sale / Ice Cream - there were selling 3 different types of the novelty ice cream / Drinks - I can't remember if anything else was sold other than sodas. Food - you can get Fried Chicken (they are known for having good fried chicken each year), Corn on the Cob, Fruit cups, Wings, Roll, pulled beef, Hamburger/Hot Dog and there is even a Vegetarian Wrap available for purchase. There are times when I have been in the line for food and it was very long, but everyone waited patiently - they also provide lots of tables and chairs for you to eat your food. Entertainment is also available for watching as well. You could also enter a raffle ($5 per ticket) and for the choice of prizes that you get to pick from (if you won), it is totally worth it, plus it is going towards a good cause. You do not have to be present for when they select the winning raffle tickets. The festival reminds me of a gathering of a community - everyone relaxing and just having a good 'ole time. I am already looking forward to when they will have their 100th Women's Board Picnic & Bazaar (in 2020) as they will probably go all out for that and then some.

The revolutionaries were selling tsarist treasures to fund their new communist government, so she helped herself to some magnificent pieces. So also did she collect French pieces from the high royalty days. Room after beautiful room is filled with exquisite paintings, dishware, flatware, furniture and artifacts. Entrance is free, parking is a breeze, a dining room is available.

Hillwood estate, museum & Garden was a wonderful place to spend an afternoon…read morewith friends.  We enjoyed our guided tour of the house which is absolutely filled with Marjorie Post's collections of art, ceramics, jewelry and so much more.  There was no way our guide could do more than touch upon some of the treasures, including the famous Imperial Faberge eggs.  And, despite exploring some more on our own afterwards, there would be plenty more to see on a return trip.  The grounds are also full of beauty with multiple flourishing beds of colorful flowers and a greenhouse full of many, manynkinds of orchids.  When it's time to relax, the café is there with a delightful tea service, consisting of your choice of tea accompanied by numerous sandwiches and sweets.  The service was very helpful and having such a tasty treat on the patio was a great way to spend some really nice time with friends.
