Wall Hoop Craft class which was taught by Maddie. Maddie walked us through how to make the wall decor, as well as shared tips and tricks with preserving flowers. We took turns, cutting the supplies and picking out the dried flowers for the arrangement. Salt and Light provided light snacks and drinks which was a nice gesture. The class took about an hour and the wall decor turned out lovely. I look forward to attending my next art/craft class at Salt and Light Collective.

During my search one of the first things I stumbled across was Elm Street Studio. I loved the reviews and pictures on yelp so my co-host reached to get all the info on everything. The process was pretty easy and it was priced reasonably. Even more importantly the venue was adorable and the perfect size. We were planning to host a group of 25 ladies. The venue has a nice front room, a center area which is good for a couple of tables, a back room with fire place that is pretty big and a nice size kitchen. We used all the indoor space for our event. There is also a lovely backyard and patio area that can be used for different things as well. Everyone was super nice and accommodating to us. We got so many compliments on what a cool venue this place was for a baby shower. I would absolutely recommend this spot if you are looking to host an event. I think it would be really cool to have a small wedding and reception here.

Everything you need for painting is set up when you arrive. They set out your paints, but you can always grab other colors if you want to customize your painting. When we booked our paintings, they had a few add-ons that you can choose from. My mom choose to paint on wood plank board instead of canvas, and I got the glitter add-on, which were both fun adds to our paintings. The instructors are the best part of Painting with a Twist. Our instructor was Emily, and she made the experience fun and was always complimenting our paintings. She also had a good pace and was very clear with her instructions. I would definitely recommend Painting with a Twist, and hopefully they will be doing more fun paintings next time I visit DFW.
