A truly hidden gem! Came here because I was crossing the border into Mexico and the wait to get into Mexico was pretty long and I was hungry so I didn't wanna wait till I got to TJ. I looked at this place menu and fell in love right away. The Queso Fundido pizza caught my eye and I just had to get it ! It was so good and spicy just the way I like it. My buddy got the chicken Alfredo pizza and loved it ! I had a bite and it was insane !!! We both shared the spicy Alfredo pizza which also good ! The cinnamon sugar breakfast are something we have never seen and that also was good ! Definitely coming back here when I'm in the area !!

Large pepperoni with added ham! Was very good!!!

The pizza was great!! Everything was to order! The cheese they used is way better than I was expecting!A great lil gem on the border!

Personal pepperoni pizza!!

Food service, and ambiance. Great tasting and good looking !! Had to come and see if it was good and it is !!

Queso Fundido Pizza

Queso fundido pizza with Garlic Bread is a must have!!! And of course a classic pepperoni pizza so good !! The kids love it and it's now our go to place for our weekly pizza!

It was an experience…read more We sat tucked away in a little corner that honestly felt like we were having dinner in someone's grandmother's house, and I mean that in the BEST way possible. Cozy, warm, intimate and welcoming. And the FOOD?! I was convinced somebody's Italian grandmother had to be downstairs hand making that pasta because there was no other explanation. I had the lobster ravioli and started with the bruschetta tostada. Everything was absolutely chef's kiss. Fresh, flavorful and tasted like it was made with love. But what made the experience even better was our waiter, Mauricio! He was simply amazing. He genuinely took care of us, shared the story of the restaurant and talked about how much he enjoyed working there. And you could tell. It showed in the way he treated us and the attention he gave throughout the entire meal. Great food is one thing. Great food paired with genuine hospitality is something completely different. I will DEFINITELY be back the next time I'm in San Diego. If you're looking for homemade pasta, amazing food and that warm family feel, put this place on your list. You will not be disappointed.

The real star was our server, Marcelo. Instead of just taking our order, he asked each of us what we like and suggested a dish for everyone. He was spot on. I had the Rigatoni Palermitana, with sausage, pomodoro, capers, olives and a kick of Calabrian chili, and it was exactly what I was hoping for. Everyone in our party loved the meal. It felt like eating at an Italian grandmother's table, which fits the name. If you're in Little Italy, go, and ask for Marcelo! PS don't forget the gelato!

After a long day at the beach, we ordered a bottle of wine, and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't ridiculously overpriced. Sitting outside, enjoying a glass of wine and watching Little Italy come alive was exactly what we needed. Our server was exceptional. The service was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. But let's talk about the food... The food was AMAZING. We ordered several different things, and everything we tried was delicious, but the pappardelle with short ribs was the standout. The pasta was absolutely fantastic--rich, comforting, and exactly the kind of Italian comfort food you want at the end of a long day. And then there was the dessert case... Oh. My. Goodness. Everything in that case looked like it was personally designed to make you regret saying, "No, we're too full for dessert." Nonna was exactly what we were hoping for that evening: great food, great service, a beautiful Little Italy setting, and a relaxed atmosphere where we could sit outside and enjoy ourselves. I can't wait to go back and eat some more Italian comfort food--and next time, I'm getting the tiramisu.

The area was crowded, with people and cars everywhere, and parking can get very competitive, both physically and price-wise. Anyways, we decided on the parking garage across the street so we could make our reservation and finally enjoy some food! I actually called ahead after placing our reservation to let them know we were having a hard time finding parking, and they were so kind to say they would still hold our table! Amazing! (Pro Tip: Valet service is sometimes cheaper than parking garages.) Anyways, once we got to the restaurant, we checked in, and sure enough, our table was ready, and we were able to order our food promptly. I learned they don't serve free bread, bummer, but it was okay; everything else made up for it. Our server was so friendly and helpful; he was prompt in getting our order in and attentive to what our little ones needed. He made sure their food came out first! So they didn't have to wait so long! Good thing, too! No one especially enjoys hangry kids. We ordered fried calamari as an appetizer, campanelle sausage, and from the kids' menu: alfredo penne and mac and cheese, which also comes with a drink and ice cream! Oh, and my husband ordered a red wine that pairs with the campanelle, too! It took a while for the food to be prepped and come our way, but as I mentioned earlier, the kids ended up eating first, which was great! They enjoyed their pasta immensely, and we tasted it too, and it was great! The pasta was cooked well, and the sauces were thick and flavorful! They put a lot of care into the kids' menu, and we parents noticed that! The appetizer came next, and it was deliciously crispy and really had our appetites going for the pasta! When our campanelle came, we asked for extra cheese, of course, and then it was time to eat! The campanelle was cooked beautifully, slathered with spicy red tomato sauce, plus plenty of crumbled sausage and cheese! It was so good! It had a good kick from the spice that makes you want to keep biting into that bellflower-shaped pasta! Yum! When we were done, our waiter was in on the little birthday celebration, and God bless him for not wanting to embarrass my husband; he wisely didn't light the never-ending candle and just gave him a piece of tiramisu cake with "Happy Birthday" on it! It was such a nice experience for our family! The vibe was also very casual and a bit loud since we were seated out on the balcony, but we still had a conversation and had a great time. We loved watching the busyness on the sidewalk as we talked and ate. I really recommend this place!
