Chee did a great job on my manicure. I didn't get anything too complicated, so it was really affordable. They were all really nice! Would come again. read more

Viva Nails - Chee did a great job on my manicure - Nail Salons Near Me - San Jose, California

As a person who doesn't get her nails done very often, I decided to get a gel manicure in preparation for a friend's wedding. After securing a friend's recommendation for Viva Nails, I called to make an appointment which wasn't as easy as I'd hoped. The call ended with, "just show up at 10am tomorrow morning." Promptly at 10am, I'm in front of the locked door until I can get someone's attention. When the staff unlocked the door, she asked if I had an appointment. After telling her that I had a 10am appointment, she said she didn't see my name. After a few minutes, she must have remembered me calling and asked me to take a seat and handed me the gel nail colors to choose from. After Tiffany helped me choose a color, she went right to work and I was done in no time. When I told her that I was surprised that the UV light didn't burn, she looked at me funny and said that must have been a long time ago. She's right. I'm happy with the work and will return before the next millenium. Payment can be made via cash or Venmo otherwise there is an extra charge for credit card. Additionally, the tip is a separate transaction. I wish I knew this ahead of time. read more

They take such good care of you the second you walk in the door. Lyly is AMAZING. I would highly recommend this place.

just right now I left this Viva Nails Place and SO DISAPPOINTED and actually ANGRY with the job they did. in my 20 years of doing nails this place is the worse I ever experienced.. I came in with three weeks old nails that looked MUCH BETTER then freshly made nails. Feel so bad that I actually PAID for such a terrible work... planning to call the owner with a complain... read more

Too expensive. Lily was very nice doing my nails and did a pretty good job but the girl who did my toes, Janet I believe didn't say one word to me and was very rough and hurt me several times. Then on top of the $110 I was charged two dollars for atm fees. WTF! I will not be back unfortunately. read more

I went and had a new set put on, within a week one broke off. So I decided to go in and have all the others taken off, which they charged me $15. The lady that helped me was rude and ended up making my real nails very thin, and because of that one of my nails is split. I will not recommend or ever go back there. read more

just now New Jackie did a terrible job on my toes and she has a very bad attitude. She hurt my heels and made them sore and bleed. She is Totally in the wrong field. A five year old could have done a better job. Thankfully another technician fixed it. I don't think I'll ever be back. I will say though Chee is very nice, she is the only reason I went there. I will not go back just so I don't have to see Jackie she made me very upset because getting your nails done is not cheap so if I have to pay that much I would like to get a nice clean job. Not a messy one plus a bad attitude read more

I've been here twice. Once in the summer and once in the winter. 1. In the summer, instead of AC the owner runs giant, loud commercial fans which offer poor cooling. It was so hot I actually left with my feet in the tub for only 2 minutes. 2. In the winter, there is no heat and no circulation in the room. It is so stuffy yet cold. I asked to open the door a bit because I was getting light-headed from the fumes. The woman was very nice about it. I give it a star for the service from the ladies, but absolutely wouldn't go back based on how mismanaged the environment is. How has this place not been shut down for OSHA violations? read more

Definitely not my go to spot. My mom came here long ago and hasn't been back until today. If you want overpriced dip powder with extra attitude where the ladies probably talk shit about you, this is the place for you. Two -stars just for Mindy. She was patient and kind to my mom. A bit of a language barrier but we got through it. Apparently dip powder around is here is far the most expensive around and I've price shopped too. I asked Mindy to sanitize all her instruments prior to cutting my moms nail and she didn't quite understand that, so this other lady came whose apron had the name "Yvonne" came and raised her voice telling Mindy exactly what i needed and literally shoved the sanitizing solution towards Mindy, looked at me and my mom and shook her head and rolled her eyes. She tried to tell me they they always clean their stuff, I'm sure they do, however, I still need to see it. Everything after that was done/said in such a rude and unprofessional manner. Honestly, for the price I'm paying, quite frankly, you can be a little more cordial to your guests. I also wanted to get my nails done, but I'm going to pass. This place is in the same plaza as Trader Joe's, Ross, Carter's and a bunch of other places. Parking can get crazy but it isn't too bad. Overall, the place itself seems clean, it wasn't as busy, and plenty of ladies to help. read more

Best nail place around. Have tried a few other salons but keep coming back here for the customer service, willingness to do what I like and redo if needed so I get exactly what I'm looking for. Nails always look great and the owners and technicians are so nice, personable and sooo much better than other salons that call themselves the best but are really terrible (don't go to perfect10). Viva Nails won't let you down. read more

Scammers , cheats people I would not recommend this place for facials. I visited for an $80 facial advertised as a 'European facial.' Once in the room, I noticed there was no steaming machine, which I assumed would be brought in later. To my surprise, there wasn't even space for the staff to move around comfortably. The treatment began without steaming; the esthetician applied something to my face, extracted blackheads, and then used vitamin E oil, followed by a mask. The entire process felt rushed and incomplete. I was deeply disappointed and felt that my time and money were wasted. This experience felt unprofessional and misleading--please avoid this place read more

Owner is just out for the money. I wanted a regular manicure and pedicure. She then approached me asking why I didn't want to do gel then insisted I get the $55 pedicure. She told me they would get all of the dead skin off of my feet which they didn't. Then as my nail lady was starting to paint my other foot (first one was done) the owner told me that the lady doing my feet did gel instead of regular (I told the owner directly I wanted regular- I know this because she tried to convince me to get gel after I said no 3 times) so the owner then says "no worries I'll just charge $10 extra and we will be good" I said "no I didn't want gel" So the owner then tells my nail lady to take off the whole thing. It is 7pm at this point. My nail lady literally takes off the whole set and restarts. All over a mistake the owner made which then caused me to be late to my event. Avoid this place like the plague read more

This shit was horrible, I showed them an exact picture of what i wanted and they did the exact opposite. This lady added glitter to one of my nails even after I told her to stop. She couldn't even do a simple design. The nails were chunky and horrendous. My cuticles and the skin around my nail were left bleeding and peeled. I have glue surrounding my nail and on my finger. Horrible job, I payed 75 dollars and if i could i would get my money back. read more

First of all, I'm giving this place 3 stars based on the poor heating and A/C. It's hot on warm days and cold in the winter. It impacts the spa experience. You can't quite relax and fully enjoy pedi/ mani or both. However, the ladies that work there are wonderful! They're very attentive and the service is great. I'm new to this place because I followed my nail tech. I hope the owners would invest in fixing the HVAC in this place. read more

They did a nice job. I just have a basic plain manicure with no polish. It was $25 which is way too expensive.

Love this place. I've been going here for years. The staff is friendly and always provides me with acrylic sets that last for weeks.

My first time here at viva nails, and don't think I'll be coming here again. To get a pedicure here was fine but i got dip on my real nails and the second day three nails started chipping. I contemplated not going in but decided to do so since I had paid $130 for a service that should last longer than 24hrs. They were nice about it and fixed the ones that were chipped, great..within another 24hrs and 3 more nails begin to chip. At this point, i just cut my loses and not going to go back. read more
