They have a big glass window that covers one side of the building and overlooks the water. All manicure and pedicure chairs face that direction and they play Coffee House Music. It is very relaxing. When I tell you...I've never had better nails then this. Danny specifically was my master artist, and he was detail to detail, meticulous with his work, and very gentle. This man knew everything that he was doing, and spent so much detail on my nails. I will never go to anybody different. My cuticle was a mess when I walked in so I asked for a manicure with my full set, well he didn't cut my cuticles until after he polished my nails so I left looking like I needed a refill, made no sense to me. On my second visit I had a nail tech that barely looked up at me never mind interacted with me, my nails have been popping off everyday since I'm confused to why I paid 70 bucks for a refill. I had previously had extensions, and though they made it through May, they eventually all fell out. The salon that I had been going to has yet to restart lashes so I was left to seek out an alternative solution. I decided to try a woman in Norwood who was horrible! I showed her pictures of exactly what I wanted and she did not even come close. She told me that I did not have enough lashes to do the thickness that I wanted and blah, blah, blah. Two weeks later I went for a fill at another salon with a woman who came recommended. I swear I walked out looking like I had LESS lashes. There were huge spaces and I wanted to cry every time I looked into the mirror. I would have been better off just wearing mascara. After 2 days I could not take it anymore and googled lashes near me. I found BlinX and texted the owner Robyn. She immediately got back to me and we set up an appointment for 4pm today. Yes today! I told her what had happened, and what I wanted, which were long and thick lashes. Can I just say that she EXCEEDED my expectations!! I actually cried when I looked in the mirror, but had to stop so that I did not ruin my new lashes, lol! Robyn is not only amazing at what she does but she is also fun and personable. First of all, Brittney was so responsive and flexible about scheduling, helping me schedule my trials and being so unbelievably understanding as the number of appointments grew and shrank leading up to the wedding. We had our appointments inside the salon because we had a relatively small group and didn't want to deal with finding an appropriate space in one of the hotels. We are so glad we did--- It feels so warm and welcoming inside the salon, and we even were able to put out a breakfast food spread during the appointments! Brittney did our hair for the wedding day (we also got great blowouts/curls from Marisa and Michaela the day before!) and she is amazing---she is so so talented, and our hair stayed completely perfect for our entire 14+ hour event. Everyone had such different hair types and styles and everyone told me they got exactly what they were hoping for, if not far better! Nicole did our makeup and we similarly could not be more impressed! She knew exactly how to handle all of our concerns and made sure that everyone loved their look.
