Sorry, there was no way to respond to your response so I had to start a new review. Thank you for…read moreacknowledging the frustration. But I'm not sure the point was understood. I work in healthcare and believe me - I understand delays. It was the lack of communication that frustrated me. Our appointment was for 10:15 AM and we were not seen till after noon. If we would've just been told at any point along the way that there was going to be a significant delay, we would've been fine. We might even have asked if we could go get something to eat and have you text us 15 minutes before the doctor would be back on schedule. I know surgeries or emergencies could delay things. That is a given and we know it. It is a lack of communication and consideration for our time that was the point of contention. Not the wait itself. If you're able to address that in a comment, rather than explain the typical delays in healthcare that would be very appreciated. We trust the doctors and want to stay with this practice, we would just like our time respected. Not one person told us there would be a significant delay. Two hours is very excessive. I had to rearrange my work schedule to attend the appointment because the first postop appointment was a "safety check" and they refused to answer any of my questions. I had to wait until this week to ask any questions of a doctor. The initial postop doctor refused to answer any questions.

So I haven't been a patient, nor will I be thanks to the rude and nasty gal who answered the phone…read morewhen I called to inquire about an appointment. And by the way, her name is Kim. When I asked twice about something she said because she mumbles so badly, she angrily retorted - I JUST SAID blah blah blah. So sad that the first impression is often the last.

Three have been times I have been blind and only able to see shadows, living life in that condition is full of fear and uncertainty. Dr. Coney has never given up on me or my eyes. I have watched 3 of my grandchildren graduate from high school, and see them looking beautiful in their prom attire. I am so blessed that he travels to New Castle, PA and the burden of travelling for the highest quality of care is available in my community. My family and I are so very thankful for the skillful hands and mind of this genuinely kind man. Thank you Dr. Coney for everything you have done for me and the quality of my life.

I will never return to this place. I had Dr. Schartman and he was less than helpful. I wanted to…read moreknow about the drug he would be using to inject into my eye. He dismissively said that he did not have the time to talk me into the shot. Then he said get the shot or go blind. He then stormed out of the room. One of their supervisors came into the room and allowed me to question her. He then came back in to give me the shot. Again very dismissive. I saw him for maybe 5 minutes total. I ended up in the emergency room with a BP of 259/159. It took more than 6 hours to get it back to a reasonable reading. The fact that this is one of the side effects of this drug I had to look up on my own.
