The store has been around for a long time, and they have a variety of stuff including snacks, stationery, fair trade/GMO-free foods and non-foods, baking ingredients, cosmetics, groceries, incense, water, soda...too much to name.

As an involved community business member here on the island I was shocked by the woman's behavior. I called in advance and I'm pretty sure she said her name was April. When I went in she was in the back on the computer with her child which was fine All I said was Hello April and she yelled at me and told me "don't call me bro" which is weird because she is woman. Hopefully they have it next year when we're back for our 5th annual trip! They also carry Alexandre Family Farms dairy which is very hard to find on the island. It's the only place I've seen it at on Kauai. We tried a little locally made gourmet truffle that was rich and yummy. They also sell locally made sourdough bread loaves and focaccia that we love! For a place called Living Foods you would expect to see more foods that are actually "living" (i.e…read more plants). Sadly however, they only have one single bowl that is vegan and 2 appetizers (hummus and taro). No vegan entree, and not even a salad that wouldn't require changes to be vegan. Since the bowl has taro too, you can skip the taro appetizer and you're left with a hummus where you get charged for extra crispy bread. While the food quality was good, it was very bland and uninspiring. On top of it all, they add an extra 3% charge for using a credit card. Service was impecable and Renee really went above and beyond but unfortunately there was not much she could work with given the very poorly crafted menu.
