Located in the Kukui'ula shopping center, this little chain boutique store, unique to Hawaii, held a nice diverse selection of cute apparel, jewelry and other accessories. The small but organized interior was clean, bright, and things well laid out for easy shopping and browsing. The associates seemed to mostly be either on their phones or chatting amongst themselves most of the time, but were very friendly when approached. Mahina is my favorite Hawaiian boutique. Their clothes are so cute and the material they use feels so high quality. Typically some of these clothing boutiques are extremely expensive, but Mahina is one of the more reasonably priced stores. You can find anything you might need here, from shorts and jeans to blouses and sweatshirts, there's something for every occasion here. I ended up getting a super soft and stretchy tank for $31 and love it. The girls working were sweet and not overbearing which I appreciated. I will always make a trip to a Mahina store whenever I'm visiting the islands. read more

The selection of pretty, yet practical clothing and fabric is perfect at a reasonable price point. Worst store to shop at. The girls working were so focused on their hair then the store and customers in the store. No acknowledgement, smile, NOTHING!! Honestly, I felt so judged when I saw them from my peripheral and they saw me and said nothing! My family and I came into this shop looking for a flowy dress for my graduation Photoshoot on the beach but ended up finding a cute blue & white tropical themed romper for the photos. So happy I found this Mahina location in the Kukui'ula shopping center close to my hotel. The sales lady helped me look for various options that would suit my limited travel wardrobe and offered other styles to help as well. And the best part - they offer kama'aina and military discounts. I have shopped at other Mahina stores elsewhere and I've always had a great experience. Unfortunately, for this particular store, I went here on two different occasions thinking I'll have a better experience with different staff members but I was proven wrong! This store has some of the rudest staff! They don't greet you, they purposely ignore you and good luck finding help! One thing I have to say about places like this is that the customers are a big part on how they get paid. Especially on island that thrives and relies heavily on tourism. Don't get me wrong, I love the clothes but I'd rather spend my money at a different store where the staff are friendlier, nicer and willing to help! Management and owners should really address their staff's lack of customer service skills because if they don't, it is only a matter of time that they will lose all their customers! Your staff is a representation of your brand, FIX IT!!!! read more

When I first passed the store, I wasn't going to stop -- it looked like a yoga shop or lingerie store, and I wasn't really looking for either. But as I walked closer, I saw some cute accessories and I decided to go inside. Best. Decision. EVER! Mahina is pretty much everything I had been looking for, as far as cute Hawaiian island clothes that I could comfortably wear back on the mainland. The shop reminds me of Anthropologie, but more relaxed -- and about half the price! A lot of the items are great basic pieces, but there are many stunning prints and dresses as well. The prices are so reasonable, which makes it easy to go overboar-- I mean, makes it easy to stock up on all your favorites. Also? Everything in the shop is organized by color! My closet is organized by color. It's like the store speaks to me! I'm impressed with the versatility of the things I found -- can you imagine shopping for clothes in Hawaii that you could wear in New Jersey? It's not easy. I ended up going home with a gorgeous blue printed halter dress and a purple scarf/shawl/wrap. The dress will be fantastic for parties, and the purple wrap would be great as a beach cover-up or a shawl over a little black dress. Both of my finds can totally work here at home, but will forever remind me of my tropical honeymoon! And I got both for less than $100, thankyouverymuch. So now I'm following Mahina on Instagram, because they regularly post photos of their new cute items. And while their website isn't fully stocked with their newest stuff, they say they're willing to ship items. Maybe I can convince them to ship some of them over to the ol' Garden State? :) read more

A fabulous boutique with beautiful long and short dresses, and plenty of unique tops. Suits both people that love pattern and colour as well as those seeking solids and monotones. The accessories are less attention grabbing, and the store is a bit tightly packed, but otherwise an excellent experience and reasonable on the wallet. read more

At the beginning of my trip to Kauai this was mine and my families favorite store. It's true, their product is super cute trendy, and affordable. Unfortunately, their product does not last past 1 wear! I understand the quality isn't on a luxury level but the store and their team should stand behind their product and brands if the product gets ruined. I wore a tank once, put it in the wash on the hand wash cycle and laid it out to dry per the tags instructions. Once it was dry I noticed the wording was partially worn off. When I went back to the store to exchange it for the same tank or other merchandise I was told the store manager was not in and in fact no managers were available until the next day at 4pm. After texting and calling the manager they informed me that they wouldn't be able to do anything for me. All of this while I had over $100 of other clothing in my hand ready to buy! They would have easily made $80+ dollars off of me. If I could give 0 stars I would. It is upsetting that this store, their policies, and staff does not value there guest time enough to do an easy and quick exchange, especially since the majority of their guest are tourist. I am leaving the island in 2 hours and now will have to call them tomorrow and waste even more time and hope I can get this issue resolved. So, BUYER BEWARE, don't expect to wear their product more then once. read more

Awful customer service. There was none on the 2 times i visited. So i bought nothing even though there was something i wanted.

Most unprofessional people I have ever seen. Staff will not help you. There were clothes with stains that were hung on the rack. I would never go back and will not recommend anyone going to the store . read more
