One of our favorite venues was even better than we had last experienced it. Good Earth® is inside…read morethe Galleria so we shopped then ate. We were impressed by the new, "earthy" look of the restaurant. The menu had many appealing choices. The gluten-free items were clearly marked and although the lactose-free items were not marked, there were plenty to choose from. Our waitress was one of the best we have ever had. She was friendly, gave us great recommendations and information, kept my bottomless cup of tea full, and was very prompt throughout. We ordered salmon and told her we were going to split the meal and she brought an extra plate. The tea and soup were both tasty and hot...just like I like them. The broccoli steamed was steamed to tender perfection. The ceiling had acoustic tile so noise from other diners never disturbed our conversation. If there was background music, it was so soft I did not notice it. There was frequently a line for the two, unisex bathrooms, which were clean but perhaps a little worn. Good Earth® has returned to our list of places to eat and I highly recommend you give it a try.

Flavor was ok but not great. The problem was the texture. It was grainy not smooth. The worker did not correctly fill the cone evenly so it was tippy initially. Do not recommend this flavor.

Good Earth - Good Earth® also has to-go market attached to the store but accessed from the concourse. It sells pastries, fruit, and drinks.

Good Earth - The entrance from the Galleria concourse had the hostess stand in the doorway. There was a down ramp but it was easy to navigate.

Surprisingly, although not exactly appealing to the eye, the food is not all that bad and you might beat a long line. Freshens, as the name suggests, uses fresh ingredients with which you can create your own rice bowl or a crepe. Sort of like Chipotle, you get to pick what goes in your food or just select one of the existing recipes they suggest, like the Italian Rice Bowl, which was always my favorite. It's simple in flavor but it does make for a nice light lunch. I've never tried any of their crepes but some of my old coworkers have and they seemed to really enjoy them. Plus the crepes are a little bit more food and therefore I imagine more filling. Prices are fair for the mall, not any different from any other fast food spot you could go to. They have couple of tables you could eat at as well, so you don't have to walk all the way to the actual food court. This place is not to be confused with Freshii which actually is in the food court and has a similar concept but I don't think I like their items as much as these rice bowls. Like I said earlier, the biggest thing Freshens has going for it is the location in the mall. It just never gets busy because pretty much no one knows it's there. Another nice feature about this spot in particular is that they have real fruit smoothies which just makes for another healthier option if you're craving a little something while shopping. Small stand but nice selection of items and it doesn't taste all too bad and you have pretty much no wait.
