I have witnessed someone paying for a whole body part in advance but all their appointments keep getting canceled do to "something coming up". There is a lot more I could say but I think that's enough to show people that this is not a professional business, they will not treat you with respect and if they do it won't last long. It was a random Thursday afternoon so it wasn't busy. One person ahead of me being helped, so I scanned to QR and filled out my info online while I waited 5-10 minutes. Hannah was super duper nice, gentle, and precise. Turned out my re-pierce was hardly that: she just needed to push a new needle through as it was mostly still open. I decided to also get a third piercing next to it, because why not. All in all it was quick and easy! I'll say however, this place is priceyyyy. I suppose you're getting the experience: beautiful storefront, fun and aesthetic, and piercing by registered nurses. The piercings themselves are a cost and then the jewelry is an additional price. I realize you don't want put cheap products in fresh-pierced holes but still, just too pricey. Also confusing pricing around the needle vs gun option. Most all of my other 10 piercings have been done at tattoo/body-piercing shops at a much, much lower rate and I've never had issues with them. Again, I think you're more so paying for the experience here. Lots of options here in terms of placement for piercings (lobe, upper lobe, helix, tragus, etc). And also lots of fun jewelry options on the wall! You have to get your piercing with a specific type, but if you were just coming in to shop for earrings, this is a good spot.

The nurse put my earrings in for me and she was very nice. Be forewarned that Rowan is very expensive. My two sets of earrings were $65 total, which was fine. But my total for having a nurse put in new earrings was close to $140. Yikes!

The piercer refused to use a tool to put them in correctly and kept trying to jam the jewelry in causing lots of pain (they're fully healed). Then once she accepted she needed the tool, she put in the wrong size. A simple jewelry change was a nightmare and my high nostrils were irritated for a week. So unprofessional and atmosphere is not welcoming. I've gotten many piercings from different places and I promise you can find a safer option around here.

I struggled with how I wanted to approach leaving this review. I wanted to wait for the tattoo to…read moreheal and for my anger to subsided a little. However, I'm permanently branded and I'm sick to my stomach over this. My dog passed away on July 28th, even though I knew it was coming I was still devistated. I had always planned on getting her paw print tattooed on me. Yesterday July 31st 2020 I had someone by the name of will do my pawprint. I was very specific in how I wanted this to look. I brought in my Maggie's paw print and asked if he could replicate it without harsh lines and to keep it light and shaded. I had her actual pawprint as well as a picture pulled up on my phone for reference the entire time. When he was done he barely cleaned off the excess ink and purple stencil. I thought that was strange because every other tattoo I've had the artist make sure to clean it up really well. I made a comment about it being dark and patchy. He stated that it would lighten up as it heals and to come back in for a touch up in a few weeks. After cleaning it and looking at it the next day it's obvious why he didn't wipe up the excess ink and stencil, because it was camouflaging how bad it really was. not only does this look nothing like the picture that I brought in for reference, but you can clearly see harsh lines, some of which go right through the shaded areas. The outside, or border if you will, goes from dots to straight harsh angled lines. Nothing is consistent or organic about this at all. The little imperfections and wisps of hair from her paw print look like random polka dots. Almost 100% of the tattoo is filled in. There's no negative space or area for skin to show through. The reason I got this tattoo was to help with the grieving process of losing my dog. Now I'm feeling anger and frustration that I have a tattoo that looks like it was done by a 7th grader with a safety pin. It's going to cost me hundreds of dollars to have this removed professionally. There's no touch-up or cover-up that is going to make this look the way it was supposed to look. I was told by the doctor I have to let it heal for 8 weeks before they can start the process of removing it. With that being said it's not even about the money, or the facts that it's going to take me a long time to have this removed. It's about the fact that for whatever reason the time and care that should go into a memorial tattoo like this didn't. This tattoo was very important to me. It was a way for me to heal, and now it's just another bad tattoo story that I'm going to have to explain to a lot of people.
