Everybody there was super pleasant and friendly, however I got one of the most disappointing manicures of my life. As soon as I sat down I noticed an old paper towel sitting on the table that was clearly from the previous client since it had pink nail polish on it. (That is just plain unsanitary.) Then the nail technician asked what I was looking for. I told her I wanted coffin shaped nails with a matte top coat. She then proceeded to tell me "that she doesn't do coffin nails that often" but said that she could do them. At this point, I was beginning to worry but I decided to trust her. After putting the plastic tips on this nail technician then proceeded to ask another woman working there how to do the coffin shape! Please do not tell me you can do something only to show me that you can, but extremely poorly. I am now stuck with extra thick, misshapen nails. They aren't filed smoothly and it is clear that whoever did them had no idea what they were doing. The edges are all wavy and it is apparent that they were not filed properly. Even the most simple part, the paint job was done poorly. I can see bits of the acrylic on the sides of the nail. To finish it all off when it was time for the matte top coat I asked for the nail tech searched around only to tell me that they don't have it after all. I walked out with something completely different than what I wanted and with some really shoddy work on my fingers. I am so disappointed and I went to a different salon first thing in the morning to get these nails fixed! My only regret is that I paid $55 for such low quality work. And for those looking to follow newer nail trends, such as coffin shaped nails or a matte top coat, Seychelles may not be the place for you.
