It is your quintessential barber shop: a TV playing ESPN, automotive and hunting magazines to read, the local newspapers, and always interesting discussion topics. There are only two barbers--Helmut and his son Blair--so at times (weekend mornings) it can get backed up, but if you can squeeze in a visit on a weekday afternoon, you'll likely be in a chair very quickly. But really, even a longer wait is never too bad because Schilling's is just a very laid back and relaxing place. Grab something to read or chat with any of the other people in the shop and time will fly. If you're wondering about the wait, call them and they'll give you an honest answer as to how long it might be. I've been a loyal patron here since I was just a wee tyke. Even now, living in Washington, or during my time in other cities, if I knew I'd be going home soon, I'd put off getting my hair cut so I could stop by Schilling's. They know how to cut my hair just the way I like it, they're quick and very friendly, the price is right (I think $13 for a regular cut), and there's just something really comforting about going to Schilling's. I hope that when all I have left is 20 wistful strands of silver hair, I will still be able to get each one of them trimmed at Schilling's. I know they'll take just as much pride and care in those 20 strands as they do for my entire head of hair now.

He proceeded to give me this worst haircut I've had in my entire life and ruined my whole holiday. I texted the owner and he was trying to make good by having me come in, he's a great guy but there is no fixing my hair it's very unfixable. Be cautious who you pick to cut ur hair.
