I knew this location was here for a year now but I finally was able to stop in today to get my haircut. I have to say I enjoyed everything about the visit! Setting up my appointment was easy and convenient on the website, the barbers were friendly, plenty of chairs to wait in, not long of a wait, and my barber Mikey was awesome! He did a great job and the rates were pretty great too. I am happy with my cut and I will be sure to return again especially since it is right down the street!

There are only two barbers--Helmut and his son Blair--so at times (weekend mornings) it can get backed up, but if you can squeeze in a visit on a weekday afternoon, you'll likely be in a chair very quickly. But really, even a longer wait is never too bad because Schilling's is just a very laid back and relaxing place. Grab something to read or chat with any of the other people in the shop and time will fly. If you're wondering about the wait, call them and they'll give you an honest answer as to how long it might be. I've been a loyal patron here since I was just a wee tyke. Even now, living in Washington, or during my time in other cities, if I knew I'd be going home soon, I'd put off getting my hair cut so I could stop by Schilling's. They know how to cut my hair just the way I like it, they're quick and very friendly, the price is right (I think $13 for a regular cut), and there's just something really comforting about going to Schilling's. I hope that when all I have left is 20 wistful strands of silver hair, I will still be able to get each one of them trimmed at Schilling's. I scheduled an appointment with Colin and on my first visit he thought that my current hairstyle was appropriate, and suggested I see what he could do with it. Needless to say, I was impressed. This was easily one of the best haircuts I've ever gotten, the beard grooming I had for the appointment was excellent as well. I've had 2 visits now with Colin, and the second cut was just as good as the first. In addition to the excellent work that Colin has done, I absolutely love the atmosphere of the shop. My late grandfather was a barber and the vintage chairs and other equipment brought back memories of those he held on to and passed down to my mother from the shop he opened in the late 1940s.
