The class covered the basic parts of the gun, the parts of a round, proper handgun grip, stance, loading a magazine, racking the gun, unloading the magazine, clearing a jam, finger position, the four universal rules while handling a firearm and being in the shooting range, and learning the "compress" position while waiting to shoot. What stood out most to me was how strongly Vivian emphasized safety. She really drilled it into our heads, and I appreciated that so much. Even though there were about 12 people in the class, Vivian made sure to give each of us personal attention. She took the time to help everyone find the correct grip and stance, and she had us practice repeatedly in the classroom so we could enter the range feeling confident. She was very patient, encouraging, and great at correcting mistakes in a positive way. I especially appreciated her help with me personally. I had thumb surgery a year ago and struggled with loading rounds into the magazine, but Vivian was patient and guided me until I was able to do it successfully before we entered the range. I thoroughly enjoyed taking this class with Vivian and loved her approach from beginning to end. I would absolutely recommend this class to anyone looking to build confidence, learn proper handling, and get a strong foundation in firearm safety. My father and I were members for over 40 years. The club worked in partnership with the part district promoting gun, safety, and introducing residents to the sport. Despite never having an injury or safety issue of any kind in its entire history, an incoming mayor made it his mission to close the club. It was a very sad day for the members.

Having been around gifted children, I've seen how difficult traditional schools can be for them and that sometimes they are not being challenged, but here they cater to exactly what the child needs. The school has a very open floor plan that allows the teachers to have a bit more freedom to teach each child how they need and want to learn. The school itself is very clean and tidy, with plenty of books, some instruments, and technology for the students. A new head of school seems excited and eager to bring her years of experience and knowledge to the school and community. Excited to see what this new school year brings for the school!
