This is just for the Extra Mile store. We did not get gas this time. It is a super little store. It is well stocked and the people that work there are kind. They have a nice selection of whatever you need on the road or just want on the road. They have a great selection of drinks and candy. They also have maps--yes, I still like a map--and other things that are not that easy to get these days. What I really like are the people behind the counter. We have been using this station for years since the owner was a neighbor of ours in Fallbrook. Not sure if it's the same owner any longer. However, what a nightmare! My husband and I will NEVER go back. Today my husband went in to fill the tank and a man was sitting in the gas bay with another person eating in his car but not pumping gas. No judgement but he was disturbed, toothless, seemed like someone strung out......He approached my husband asking for him to give him money. When my husband said no he began aggressively attacking him verbally and spitting at him. This went on for about 10 minutes.....NO ONE from the establishment came out or made any attempt to call anyone. This is not the first time I've seen this happen at this location. I used to work nearby this gas station and I had the morning shift from 5am to 3pm. So I usually would stop here on my way to work. It was the last station between my house and my work and I traveled an hour each way. And every time I stopped really early, the machine would shut off and tell me to pay inside. I used to work at a gas station so I know that the attendant can control the pumps like that. I went in once, and the dude behind the counter was so creepy and made me so uncomfortable, every time I had to come here that early in the morning, I'd stop a block away and tuck my long hair in a beanie and put on a big men's jacket and when I did that the pump would work fine. There were a few mornings I was in a rush and didn't do that and every time I had my hair down and a form fitting top, the pump would shut off and tell me to go inside. I am originally from oceanside and recently moved to LA. I go to Oceanside to visit and this gas station is on the way through the city. Never really had an issue, but today was the first. Stopped to get gas and my boyfriend wanted to go inside to get something to snack. Well apparently they were doing a shift change at 4 I. The afternoon. Doors were locked and there were customers inside. They wouldn't let him in. He walks back to the car and looks back and notice they let a Hispanic person in. We were both angry. My brother in law only would wash our sedan here and I didn't understand why until after the first wash! :) It's really a great service. I feel the $9.99 wash really last and does the job. The persistent bird droppings do need to be scrubbed off by hand though...yet the machine is quick and is really effective. This machine wash also doesn't use the brushes which could scratch your paint, another plus :) Plus there's a deal to keep your receipts and get a free wash after seven, I think. I'm going to take a picture of that deal next time for you guys :) The vacuum is pretty good too. I would like better suction yet it really gets the job done for $1.00 I honestly only come here for the car wash to save my time and physical efforts. Located just down the street from my office sits this Chevron. I have gotten gas here probably a handful of times, but normally do a drive buy in picking up weekly lotto tix. It's always clean and never too busy. Ample pumps and spacious. There is a car wash available at this location as well. Note: Gas is a bit more expensive here. It's usually the same guy (his name slips my mind) who always greets my co-worker and I with a smile. Super friendly and personable and ALWAYS gets our lotto requests right. Not knowing what type of cigarettes to purchase, the worker on the other side was vet knowledgable on what would be the best buy for my buck. Gasoline price is 60 cents higher than reported on GasBuddy. These people should really be honest with their gasoline prices.
