Parking here is legit. Good for a nap. Lol. You can sit here for hours and won't be bothered by homeless people or police.

This railroad station in Downtown Carlsbad serves the Coaster computer rail line between Oceanside…read moreand Downtown San Diego. It has a single side platform for the single set of tracks that go through Carlsbad. Overall, I think this is a very nice station. North County Transit District buses also stop here, most importantly in my book, Route 101 that runs on Historic 101 between Oceanside and UTC in La Jolla. There are over 400 parking spaces at the station, which is a short walk to restaurants, coffee shops, retail shops, and more. The Carlsbad Village station is not the historic Carlsbad station that was used by Santa Fe Railroad until 1960. That station still stands about 1/10th of a mile south.

Traveled on a Friday around 5pm and parked at the Carlsbad Village station. Parking took quite a while to find, so I'd definitely recommend giving yourself extra time if you're leaving during peak hours. The ride itself was smooth and relaxing. One cool perk is that you're allowed to bring and enjoy alcoholic beverages onboard, which is a great way to save some cash before hitting your destination. Free Wi-Fi was also a nice bonus. All in all, it was a convenient and fun way to get to the show! Also on Fri and Saturdays they have a later schedule.

The coaster station doesn't have security with the bus terminal for the city buses the buses come for short period and leave. When I had arrived the walk through the city and the main street of Highway 101 there were many places rundown and the parks you would see of the many migrants. The Coaster station is only one track with two tracks that one waits the other passes for the station is not one you be after hours. The few restaurants nearby for the main street of of the city finding that the restaurBtz and the stores have been found selling alcohol to underage the sale of fentanyl the dangerous illegal drug . The train station they do have many of the buses that take you up into the many of Oceanside and the connection with the 101 that takes you back to UTC Mall in Lajolla. The security was of the police that were patrolling up and down the main street for the station there is no security for the terminal. Travel to the many stations you will find many of the buses with the security of the stations needs to have business people traveling. As a Yelp Elite Reviewer from the many places I have traveled to is the need for security at the station seeing the illegal activities and the use of alcohol near by. Encinitas Coaster Station. For the many people that use the coaster there is no alcohol on the train for the station there are no security . Good travels to one and all .

What is the one question that comes to mind when you think of trains and the ones that you see from…read morethe movies? There have been so many trains and those trains that have stared in the major motion pictures from the many that stared in the Total Recall and the Superman movies that you see Superman come to save the trains and there are those that are used for business and commercial traffic giving you the most beautiful trip that can be the best vie4ws and the many stops when the train stops through. If you have the answer its one train that services, the many coastal cities and the ones that are a walk to the beach. Yes, the Coaster is one train that has two levels which you can sit on the top level and the bottom level and sit have the best views and when you go to the second level you get the wide view you can eat lunch on board you have to clean up the area where you're sitting at. There is one thing that the Coaster Train doesn't allow is alcoholic drinks of any kind that is a $250.00 fine that you are found on board with open containers. The Coaster train has changed and the cleanup and the remodel it began with no alcohol on board yes, many people thought it was cool to drink on board, but it's not allowed. The remodel of the trains was to change the seats and clean floors yet with the many cars that are still being used they do have some of the older cars that show the age of wear and tear. What is the best day when you have a great doctor's appointment? Yes, the day is called over the hump day to take the 101 buses to the city of Oceanside and the many stops in between to see some of the many locations in the many cities on the way up to Oceanside. There are so many things that you can discover when you take the Coast Bus of the 101 that makes many stops even including the coaster stations along the way. Catching the bus at the UTC Transit center the 101 bus that takes you up through the La Jolla area and the many Campuses of UCSD. The trip is one of the best because with many buses take you to transit center the 101 Bus takes you straight up the coastal highway with the trip the City of Oceanside along the way to the transit and train stations. The train ride that takes you through the many cities on the way back to San Diego with the train ride that takes a little over an hour when you leave the Oceanside Transit Center with the Coaster Train and the Amtrack that share the same tracks the train has to slow when the Amtrack approaches the coaster has to slow and stop and wait for the Amtrack to pass by. The Coaster Train is one of the best rides with the many stations you can also buy tickets for the shorter trips that you may take from San Diego or from the city of Oceanside. Going on the 101 buses from the UTC Transit Center taking that to the many areas and locations along the way you can visit the many areas between the stations. The Coaster Ride from the Oceanside Transit Center is one smooth ride that you can sit back relax and take time to go over work that you may have taken home for many that do take home. The low-cost prices with the many stations that you can transfer over to the many buses take you to the many areas and the Inland cities. As a Yelp Elite Reviewer, the day was one of the best to take the 101 Bus. And have the whole day and still be able to get back to National City certain bus routes do stop at certain times there were many places in the Oceanside and the Carlsbad area that I had never been to before. The many services and buses that service the many areas south of Oceanside and the Encinitas which has so many places to visit and spend the day. Yeah for being Eco-friendly, but lacks amenities If you…read morewant to go from Oceanside to Escondido and avoid the traffic on the 78, the sprinter is the way to go. This stop has ample parking right at the corner of Rancho del Oro and Oceanside Blvd. they have a covered area to buy tickets and a porta potty if needed. They also have bike lockers. Let's all think of ways to reduce our carbon footprint and take public transportation!

I absolutely love public transportation! If you're disabled, you can take your disabled placard…read morereceipt, an award letter from SSI, or a Medi-care card (not Medi-cal), or you can pick up a form at the Oceanside Transit Center - they may even have them on their website - and have your doctor fill it out. You can get a Compass card with your picture on it, which is good until the expiration date on your disabled placard (you just need to renew more often), three years after the date shown on the disability award letter...OR for three years from the date on your doctor's letter. You can get a monthly transit pass for $18, which allows unlimited rides on any Breeze bus, the Sprinter, and any of the buses anywhere in the San Diego area. You can also use it to obtain a round trip ticket to San Diego and back to Oceanside for only $5 (which makes day trips down to Old Town super fun and cheap...wi hour traffic! Students can also get a discounted pass for a very reasonable price. I love the Rancho Del Oro station, because you can park in a big, well-lit parking lot and take the Sprinter to Escondido. It's a little out of the way too, so you're not having to deal with a lot of cross traffic. We've got a great transit system here in San Diego county, and as long as you're honest (Transit police aren't always on the Sprinter to check your pass, but they make surprise checks, and the fine is NOT worth the gamble!), it's really easy to navigate your way around the whole county for very little money. It's a great way to show your little ones the way public transport works, and who doesn't love buses and trains?!? Come on...it's a TRAIN! If you're on at the right time, you might pass another one headed the opposite direction too. Super awesome! The automated voice on the Sprinter is English, which kind of makes me giggle, but my son adores it. We're lucky to live by a line that runs from the Oceanside Transit Center to the Vista Transit Center. Both allow close proximity to tons of things to do. Another benefit to having disabled access is that you can use the little buses that come your curb and allow you to get to places you would have to walk far from a proper stop to get to. It's cheaper than Uber and definitely less than a cab. If you ride even one way daily, a disabled pass can pay for itself - you don't have to pay to load it for a month. A day pass for unlimited rides is $2.50 with a disabled card, and you can take a bus one way for less than $1. (Think it's 85 cents, if I remember correctly). The drivers on the Breeze will lower the step for those with mobility issues, and both the Breeze and Sprinter allow you to bring your bike with you, in case you want to go somewhere out of the way. It's easy to navigate the website, the Transit Center is open until 5pm weekdays to get passes or papers, and best of all...you don't have to drive! It's a cheap way to entertain a bored kiddo, get to the beach from the East side of North County, and the Transit Center is very close to downtown Oceanside...where they have a Farmer's Market and Sunset Market every week. Did I mention you don't have to drive? Weekends, the Sprinter runs every 30 minutes both East and West (the Coaster has some longer wait times, and it stops running earlier, the only down side to our transit system!). If you're looking for a safe place to park your car while you let someone else save you some gas and traffic, the Rancho Del Oro station is a great location. We love our transport system...coming from a big city where buses run 24/7 kind of spoiled me, but for a non-major metropolitan area, it's one of the best transit systems I've seen since I lived in NorCal. Take a Sprinter. Catch the Breeze. See some cool scenery, and minimize your carbon footprint. If you've got disabilities, this is one of the best transit prices you'll find. They're very disability friendly. Just don't train hop, because the fines are likely why they can afford to keep the prices so low, haha! ;) If you see me around, feel free to say hi. I may be antisocial sometimes, but public transportation brings out the best in me. :D
